¹ And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,
² That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
³ And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.
⁴ And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
⁵ Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
⁶ And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
⁷ As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
⁸ But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
⁹ But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
¹⁰ And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
¹¹ And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.
¹² Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
¹³ Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
¹⁴ And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
¹⁵ And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
¹⁶ Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
¹⁷ Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
¹⁸ And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.

¹ And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
² And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
³ And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
⁴ And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
⁵ And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:
⁶ Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
⁷ Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.
⁸ Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
⁹ And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
¹⁰ And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
¹¹ And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.
¹² And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
¹³ Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;
¹⁴ Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
¹⁵ And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.
¹⁶ And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
¹⁷ Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
¹⁸ And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:
¹⁹ And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.
²⁰ And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
²¹ For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
²² And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
²³ And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
²⁴ And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
²⁵ And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
²⁶ And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
²⁷ And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.
²⁸ And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
²⁹ Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
³⁰ And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
³¹ And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

Travaux de construction de Salomon

¹ Au bout de 20 ans, Salomon avait construit la maison de l'Eternel et son palais.
² Il reconstruisit alors les villes que lui avait données Hiram et y installa des Israélites.
³ Salomon marcha contre Hamath-Tsoba et s'en empara.
⁴ Il reconstruisit Thadmor dans le désert, ainsi que toutes les villes qui servaient d'entrepôts dans la région de Hamath.
⁵ Il reconstruisit Beth-Horon-la-haute et Beth-Horon-la-basse – des villes fortifiées, munies de murailles, de portes et de verrous –
⁶ Baalath et toutes les villes qui lui servaient d'entrepôts, toutes les villes destinées à accueillir les chars, celles réservées à la cavalerie, ainsi que tout ce qu'il lui plut de construire à Jérusalem, au Liban et sur tout le territoire dont il était le souverain.
⁷ Il y avait toute une population, issue des Hittites, des Amoréens, des Phéréziens, des Héviens et des Jébusiens, qui avait survécu et qui ne faisait pas partie d'Israël.
⁸ Leurs descendants étaient restés après eux dans le pays, parce que les Israélites ne les avaient pas détruits. Salomon les enrôla pour la corvée, statut qui leur est resté jusqu'à aujourd'hui.
⁹ En revanche, Salomon n'employa aucun des Israélites comme esclave pour ses travaux: ils étaient des hommes de guerre, les chefs de ses écuyers, les commandants de ses chars et de sa cavalerie.
¹⁰ Les chefs des officiers dont disposait le roi Salomon étaient au nombre de 250; ils avaient autorité sur le peuple.
¹¹ Salomon fit monter la fille du pharaon de la ville de David jusque dans la maison qu'il lui avait construite, car il dit: «Ma femme n'habitera pas dans la maison de David, roi d'Israël, parce que les lieux où est entrée l'arche de l'Eternel sont saints.»
¹² Salomon offrit dès lors des holocaustes à l'Eternel sur l'autel de l'Eternel qu'il avait construit devant le portique.
¹³ Il offrait ce qui était prescrit par Moïse pour chaque jour, pour les sabbats, pour les débuts de mois et pour les fêtes, trois fois par année, lors de la fête des pains sans levain, de la fête des semaines et de la fête des tentes.
¹⁴ Il suivit la règle établie par son père David pour installer les classes des prêtres dans leur service et les Lévites dans leur charge. Celle-ci consistait à louer l'Eternel et à faire le service suivant les exigences de chaque jour en présence des prêtres. Il répartit aussi les portiers entre les diverses portes, d'après leur classe, car c'était ce qu'avait ordonné David, l'homme de Dieu.
¹⁵ On ne s'écarta en rien de l'ordre du roi à propos des prêtres et des Lévites, pas même pour ce qui concernait les trésors.
¹⁶ Tout le travail de Salomon fut solidement affermi, depuis le jour où l'on posa les fondations de la maison de l'Eternel jusqu'à celui où elle fut terminée. C'est ainsi que la maison de l'Eternel fut terminée.
¹⁷ Salomon partit alors pour Etsjon-Guéber et Elath, sur les bords de la mer des Roseaux, dans le pays d'Edom.
¹⁸ Et Hiram lui envoya, par l'intermédiaire de ses serviteurs, des bateaux ainsi que des serviteurs qui étaient des marins expérimentés. Ils allèrent avec les serviteurs de Salomon à Ophir et ils en rapportèrent plus de 13 tonnes d'or qu'ils remirent au roi Salomon.

Mort de Salomon

¹ La reine de Séba apprit quelle était la réputation de Salomon et elle vint à Jérusalem pour le mettre à l'épreuve par des énigmes. Elle avait une suite très nombreuse, avec des chameaux chargés d'aromates, d'or en grande quantité et de pierres précieuses. Elle se rendit auprès de Salomon et lui exposa toutes ses réflexions.
² Salomon répondit à toutes ses questions; il n'y eut aucun mystère pour Salomon: il lui expliqua tout.
³ La reine de Séba vit la sagesse de Salomon, le palais qu'il avait construit,
⁴ les plats servis à sa table, le lieu d'habitation de ses serviteurs, les fonctions et les tenues de ceux qui le servaient, ses responsables des boissons et leurs tenues ainsi que les holocaustes qu'il offrait pour monter à la maison de l'Eternel. Elle en eut le souffle coupé
⁵ et dit au roi: «C'était donc vrai ce que j'ai appris dans mon pays au sujet de ta situation et de ta sagesse!
⁶ Je ne le croyais pas avant de venir et de le voir de mes yeux. Et l'on ne m'avait même pas raconté la moitié de la grandeur de ta sagesse! Tu surpasses ce que j'avais appris par la rumeur.
⁷ Heureux tes hommes, heureux tes serviteurs, puisqu'ils sont constamment devant toi et peuvent bénéficier de ta sagesse!
⁸ Béni soit l'Eternel, ton Dieu, qui t'a choisi pour te placer sur son trône comme roi pour l'Eternel, ton Dieu! C'est parce que ton Dieu aime Israël et veut le faire subsister éternellement qu'il t'a établi roi sur lui pour que tu exerces le droit et la justice.»
⁹ Elle donna au roi plus de 3 tonnes et demie d'or, une très grande quantité d'aromates et des pierres précieuses. Il n'y eut plus d'aromates pareils à ceux que la reine de Séba donna au roi Salomon.
¹⁰ Les serviteurs de Hiram et ceux de Salomon qui rapportèrent de l'or d'Ophir ramenèrent aussi du bois de santal et des pierres précieuses.
¹¹ Avec ce bois de santal, le roi fit des escaliers pour la maison de l'Eternel et pour le palais royal, ainsi que des harpes et des luths pour les musiciens. On n'en avait pas vu de pareils auparavant dans le pays de Juda.
¹² Le roi Salomon donna à la reine de Séba tout ce qu'elle désira, ce qu'elle demanda, plus qu'elle ne lui avait apporté. Puis elle repartit et rentra dans son pays avec ses serviteurs.
¹³ Le poids de l'or qui arrivait chez Salomon chaque année était de près de 20 tonnes,
¹⁴ en plus de ce qu'il retirait des négociants et des marchands qui en apportaient, ainsi que de tous les rois d'Arabie et des gouverneurs du pays qui lui apportaient de l'or et de l'argent.
¹⁵ Le roi Salomon fit 200 grands boucliers en or battu, pour chacun desquels il employa 7 kilos d'or battu,
¹⁶ et 300 autres boucliers en or battu, pour chacun desquels il employa près de 2 kilos d'or. Il les plaça dans la maison de la forêt du Liban.
¹⁷ Le roi fit aussi un grand trône en ivoire et il le couvrit d'or pur.
¹⁸ Ce trône avait 6 marches et un marchepied en or qui lui était fixé. Il y avait des bras de chaque côté du siège; deux lions se trouvaient près des bras,
¹⁹ et 12 lions sur les 6 marches, de chaque côté. On n'a rien fait de pareil pour aucun royaume.
²⁰ Toutes les coupes du roi Salomon étaient en or et toute la vaisselle de la maison de la forêt du Liban était en or pur. Rien n'était en argent: on n'en faisait aucun cas à l'époque de Salomon.
²¹ En effet, le roi avait des bateaux long-courriers qui naviguaient avec les serviteurs de Hiram. Tous les 3 ans, les bateaux long-courriers arrivaient, chargés d'or, d'argent, d'ivoire, de singes et de paons.
²² Le roi Salomon dépassa tous les rois de la terre par ses richesses et sa sagesse.
²³ Tous les rois de la terre cherchaient à le voir pour bénéficier de la sagesse que Dieu lui avait donnée,
²⁴ et chacun d'eux apportait son cadeau: des objets en argent et en or, des habits, des armes, des aromates, des chevaux et des mulets. Cela se passait de cette manière chaque année.
²⁵ Salomon avait 4000 stalles pour les chevaux destinés à ses chars et 12'000 cavaliers qu'il plaça dans les villes où il gardait ses chars et à Jérusalem, près de lui.
²⁶ Il dominait sur tous les rois établis entre l'Euphrate et le pays des Philistins, et jusqu'à la frontière de l'Egypte.
²⁷ Le roi rendit l'argent aussi commun à Jérusalem que les pierres, et les cèdres aussi nombreux que les sycomores qui poussent dans la plaine.
²⁸ C'était en Egypte et dans tous les pays que l'on achetait des chevaux pour Salomon.
²⁹ Le reste des actes de Salomon, des premiers aux derniers, est décrit dans les annales du prophète Nathan, dans la prophétie d'Achija de Silo et dans les révélations du voyant Jéedo sur Jéroboam, fils de Nebath.
³⁰ Salomon régna 40 ans à Jérusalem sur l'ensemble d'Israël.
³¹ Puis il se coucha avec ses ancêtres et on l'enterra dans la ville de son père David. Son fils Roboam devint roi à sa place.

¹ וּמַֽלְכַּת־ שְׁבָ֗א שָֽׁמְעָה֮ אֶת־ שֵׁ֣מַע שְׁלֹמֹה֒ וַתָּב֣וֹא לְנַסּוֹת֩ אֶת־ שְׁלֹמֹ֨ה בְחִיד֜וֹת בִּירֽוּשָׁלִַ֗ם בְּחַ֣יִל כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֡ד וּ֠גְמַלִּים נֹשְׂאִ֨ים בְּשָׂמִ֧ים וְזָהָ֛ב לָרֹ֖ב וְאֶ֣בֶן יְקָרָ֑ה וַתָּבוֹא֙ אֶל־ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה וַתְּדַבֵּ֣ר עִמּ֔וֹ אֵ֛ת כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיָ֖ה עִם־ לְבָבָֽהּ׃
² וַיַּגֶּד־ לָ֥הּ שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה אֶת־ כָּל־ דְּבָרֶ֑יהָ וְלֹֽא־ נֶעְלַ֤ם דָּבָר֙ מִשְּׁלֹמֹ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹ֦א הִגִּ֖יד לָֽהּ׃
³ וַתֵּ֙רֶא֙ מַֽלְכַּת־ שְׁבָ֔א אֵ֖ת חָכְמַ֣ת שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה וְהַבַּ֖יִת אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּנָֽה׃
⁴ וּמַאֲכַ֣ל שֻׁלְחָנ֡וֹ וּמוֹשַׁ֣ב עֲבָדָיו֩ וּמַעֲמַ֨ד מְשָׁרְתָ֜יו וּמַלְבּֽוּשֵׁיהֶ֗ם וּמַשְׁקָיו֙ וּמַלְבּ֣וּשֵׁיהֶ֔ם וַעֲלִיָּת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַעֲלֶ֖ה בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה וְלֹא־ הָ֥יָה ע֛וֹד בָּ֖הּ רֽוּחַ׃
⁵ וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֱמֶת֙ הַדָּבָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי בְּאַרְצִ֑י עַל־ דְּבָרֶ֖יךָ וְעַל־ חָכְמָתֶֽךָ׃
⁶ וְלֹֽא־ הֶאֱמַ֣נְתִּי לְדִבְרֵיהֶ֗ם עַ֤ד אֲשֶׁר־ בָּ֙אתִי֙ וַתִּרְאֶ֣ינָה עֵינַ֔י וְהִנֵּה֙ לֹ֣א הֻגַּד־ לִ֔י חֲצִ֖י מַרְבִּ֣ית חָכְמָתֶ֑ךָ יָסַ֕פְתָּ עַל־ הַשְּׁמוּעָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃
⁷ אַשְׁרֵ֣י אֲנָשֶׁ֔יךָ וְאַשְׁרֵ֖י עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ אֵ֑לֶּה הָעֹמְדִ֤ים לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ תָּמִ֔יד וְשֹׁמְעִ֖ים אֶת־ חָכְמָתֶֽךָ׃
⁸ יְהִ֨י יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ בָּר֔וּךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ חָפֵ֣ץ בְּךָ֗ לְתִתְּךָ֤ עַל־ כִּסְאוֹ֙ לְמֶ֔לֶךְ לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ בְּאַהֲבַ֨ת אֱלֹהֶ֤יךָ אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְהַעֲמִיד֣וֹ לְעוֹלָ֔ם וַיִּתֶּנְךָ֤ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ לְמֶ֔לֶךְ לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת מִשְׁפָּ֥ט וּצְדָקָֽה׃
⁹ וַתִּתֵּ֨ן לַמֶּ֜לֶךְ מֵאָ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֣ים ׀ כִּכַּ֣ר זָהָ֗ב וּבְשָׂמִ֛ים לָרֹ֥ב מְאֹ֖ד וְאֶ֣בֶן יְקָרָ֑ה וְלֹ֤א הָיָה֙ כַּבֹּ֣שֶׂם הַה֔וּא אֲשֶׁר־ נָתְנָ֥ה מַֽלְכַּת־ שְׁבָ֖א לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
¹⁰ וְגַם־ עַבְדֵ֤י וְעַבְדֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ הֵבִ֥יאוּ זָהָ֖ב מֵאוֹפִ֑יר הֵבִ֛יאוּ עֲצֵ֥י אַלְגּוּמִּ֖ים וְאֶ֥בֶן יְקָרָֽה׃
¹¹ וַיַּ֣עַשׂ הַ֠מֶּלֶךְ אֶת־ עֲצֵ֨י הָֽאַלְגּוּמִּ֜ים מְסִלּ֤וֹת לְבֵית־ יְהוָה֙ וּלְבֵ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְכִנֹּר֥וֹת וּנְבָלִ֖ים לַשָּׁרִ֑ים וְלֹא־ נִרְא֥וּ כָהֵ֛ם לְפָנִ֖ים בְּאֶ֥רֶץ יְהוּדָֽה׃
¹² וְהַמֶּ֨לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה נָתַ֣ן לְמַֽלְכַּת־ שְׁבָ֗א אֶת־ כָּל־ חֶפְצָהּ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁאָ֔לָה מִלְּבַ֖ד אֲשֶׁר־ הֵבִ֣יאָה אֶל־ הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַֽתַּהֲפֹ֛ךְ וַתֵּ֥לֶךְ לְאַרְצָ֖הּ הִ֥יא וַעֲבָדֶֽיהָ׃
¹³ וַיְהִי֙ מִשְׁקַ֣ל הַזָּהָ֔ב אֲשֶׁר־ בָּ֥א לִשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה בְּשָׁנָ֣ה אֶחָ֑ת שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֛וֹת וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים וָשֵׁ֖שׁ כִּכְּרֵ֥י זָהָֽב׃
¹⁴ לְבַ֞ד מֵאַנְשֵׁ֧י הַתָּרִ֛ים וְהַסֹּחֲרִ֖ים מְבִיאִ֑ים וְכָל־ מַלְכֵ֤י עֲרַב֙ וּפַח֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ מְבִיאִ֛ים זָהָ֥ב וָכֶ֖סֶף לִשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
¹⁵ וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה מָאתַ֥יִם צִנָּ֖ה זָהָ֣ב שָׁח֑וּט שֵׁ֤שׁ מֵאוֹת֙ זָהָ֣ב שָׁח֔וּט יַעֲלֶ֖ה עַל־ הַצִּנָּ֥ה הָאֶחָֽת׃
¹⁶ וּשְׁלֹשׁ־ מֵא֤וֹת מָֽגִנִּים֙ זָהָ֣ב שָׁח֔וּט שְׁלֹ֤שׁ מֵאוֹת֙ זָהָ֔ב יַעֲלֶ֖ה עַל־ הַמָּגֵ֣ן הָאֶחָ֑ת וַיִּתְּנֵ֣ם הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ בְּבֵ֖ית יַ֥עַר הַלְּבָנֽוֹן׃
¹⁷ וַיַּ֧עַשׂ הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ כִּסֵּא־ שֵׁ֖ן גָּד֑וֹל וַיְצַפֵּ֖הוּ זָהָ֥ב טָהֽוֹר׃
¹⁸ וְשֵׁ֣שׁ מַעֲל֣וֹת לַ֠כִּסֵּא וְכֶ֨בֶשׁ בַּזָּהָ֤ב לַכִּסֵּא֙ מָאֳחָזִ֔ים וְיָד֛וֹת מִזֶּ֥ה וּמִזֶּ֖ה עַל־ מְק֣וֹם הַשָּׁ֑בֶת וּשְׁנַ֣יִם אֲרָי֔וֹת עֹמְדִ֖ים אֵ֥צֶל הַיָּדֽוֹת׃
¹⁹ וּשְׁנֵ֧ים עָשָׂ֣ר אֲרָי֗וֹת עֹמְדִ֥ים שָׁ֛ם עַל־ שֵׁ֥שׁ הַֽמַּעֲל֖וֹת מִזֶּ֣ה וּמִזֶּ֑ה לֹא־ נַעֲשָׂ֥ה כֵ֖ן לְכָל־ מַמְלָכָֽה׃
²⁰ וְ֠כֹל כְּלֵ֞י מַשְׁקֵ֨ה הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה֙ זָהָ֔ב וְכֹ֗ל כְּלֵ֛י בֵּֽית־ יַ֥עַר הַלְּבָנ֖וֹן זָהָ֣ב סָג֑וּר אֵ֣ין כֶּ֗סֶף נֶחְשָׁ֛ב בִּימֵ֥י שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לִמְאֽוּמָה׃
²¹ כִּֽי־ אֳנִיּ֤וֹת לַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ הֹלְכ֣וֹת תַּרְשִׁ֔ישׁ עִ֖ם עַבְדֵ֣י חוּרָ֑ם אַחַת֩ לְשָׁל֨וֹשׁ שָׁנִ֜ים תָּב֣וֹאנָה ׀ אֳנִיּ֣וֹת תַּרְשִׁ֗ישׁ נֹֽשְׂאוֹת֙ זָהָ֣ב וָכֶ֔סֶף שֶׁנְהַבִּ֥ים וְקוֹפִ֖ים וְתוּכִּיִּֽים׃
²² וַיִּגְדַּל֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה מִכֹּ֖ל מַלְכֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ לְעֹ֖שֶׁר וְחָכְמָֽה׃
²³ וְכֹל֙ מַלְכֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ מְבַקְשִׁ֖ים אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה לִשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ אֶת־ חָכְמָת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁר־ נָתַ֥ן הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּלִבּֽוֹ׃
²⁴ וְהֵ֣ם מְבִיאִ֣ים אִ֣ישׁ מִנְחָת֡וֹ כְּלֵ֣י כֶסֶף֩ וּכְלֵ֨י זָהָ֤ב וּשְׂלָמוֹת֙ נֵ֣שֶׁק וּבְשָׂמִ֔ים סוּסִ֖ים וּפְרָדִ֑ים דְּבַר־ שָׁנָ֖ה בְּשָׁנָֽה׃
²⁵ וַיְהִ֨י לִשְׁלֹמֹ֜ה אַרְבַּעַת֩ אֲלָפִ֨ים אֻֽרְי֤וֹת סוּסִים֙ וּמַרְכָּב֔וֹת וּשְׁנֵים־ עָשָׂ֥ר אֶ֖לֶף פָּרָשִׁ֑ים וַיַּנִּיחֵם֙ בְּעָרֵ֣י הָרֶ֔כֶב וְעִם־ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
²⁶ וַיְהִ֥י מוֹשֵׁ֖ל בְּכָל־ הַמְּלָכִ֑ים מִן־ הַנָּהָר֙ וְעַד־ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְעַ֖ד גְּב֥וּל מִצְרָֽיִם׃
²⁷ וַיִּתֵּ֨ן הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ אֶת־ הַכֶּ֛סֶף בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם כָּאֲבָנִ֑ים וְאֵ֣ת הָאֲרָזִ֗ים נָתַ֛ן כַּשִּׁקְמִ֥ים אֲשֶׁר־ בַּשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה לָרֹֽב׃
²⁸ וּמוֹצִיאִ֨ים סוּסִ֧ים מִמִּצְרַ֛יִם לִשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה וּמִכָּל־ הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃
²⁹ וּשְׁאָר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים וְהָאֲחֲרוֹנִ֑ים הֲלֹא־ הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־ דִּבְרֵי֙ נָתָ֣ן הַנָּבִ֔יא וְעַל־ נְבוּאַ֞ת אֲחִיָּ֣ה הַשִּֽׁילוֹנִ֗י וּבַחֲזוֹת֙ הַחֹזֶ֔ה עַל־ יָרָבְעָ֖ם בֶּן־ נְבָֽט׃
³⁰ וַיִּמְלֹ֨ךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֧ה בִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם עַל־ כָּל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה׃
³¹ וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב שְׁלֹמֹה֙ עִם־ אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֔הוּ בְּעִ֖יר דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֑יו וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ רְחַבְעָ֥ם בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
