Dt 14 (Annotée Neuchâtel)

¹ Vous êtes les fils de l'Eternel votre Dieu : vous ne vous ferez point d'incisions et vous ne vous raserez point entre les yeux pour un mort.
² Car tu es un peuple consacré à l'Eternel ton Dieu, et l'Eternel t'a choisi pour lui être un peuple particulier entre tous les peuples qui sont sur la face de la terre.
³ Tu ne mangeras aucune chose abominable.
⁴ Voici les animaux que vous mangerez : le boeuf, la brebis et la chèvre,
⁵ le cerf, la gazelle et le daim, le bouquetin, l'antilope, le boeuf sauvage et la chèvre sauvage.
⁶ Et tout animal qui a l'ongle divisé et le pied fourchu, à deux ongles, et qui rumine, en fait de bétail, c'est là ce que vous mangerez.
⁷ Mais voici ceux dont vous ne mangerez pas d'entre ceux qui ruminent [seulement] et d'entre ceux qui ont l'ongle divisé [seulement] et fendu : le chameau, le lièvre et la gerboise, car ils ruminent et ils n'ont pas l'ongle divisé ; ils vous seront souillés ;
⁸ et le porc, car il a l'ongle divisé et ne rumine pas ; il vous sera souillé ; vous ne mangerez pas de leur chair, et vous ne toucherez pas leurs corps morts.
⁹ Voici ce que vous mangerez de tout ce qui est dans les eaux : tout ce qui a nageoires et écailles, vous le mangerez ;
¹⁰ et tout ce qui t souillé n a pas nageoires et écailles, vous ne le mangerez pas : c'est souillé pour vous.
¹¹ Vous mangerez tout oiseau pur. Et voici ceux des oiseaux dont vous ne mangerez point :
¹² l'aigle, l'orfraie et le vautour ;
¹³ le milan, le faucon et toute espèce d'autours,
¹⁴ et toute espèce de corbeaux ;
¹⁵ l'autruche, le chat-huant, la mouette et toute espèce d'éperviers ;
¹⁶ le hibou, l'ibis et la chouette ;
¹⁷ le pélican, le gypaète et le plongeon ;
¹⁸ la cigogne et toute espèce de hérons, la huppe et la chauve-souris.
¹⁹ Tout insecte ailé vous sera souillé ; vous n'en mangerez pas.
²⁰ Vous mangerez tout oiseau pur.
²¹ Vous ne mangerez d'aucun corps mort. Tu les donneras à l'étranger qui est dans tes portes et il les mangera, ou tu les vendras à un homme du dehors ; car tu es un peuple consacré à l'Eternel ton Dieu. Tu ne feras pas cuire un chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.
²² Tu ne manqueras pas de lever la dîme de tout le produit de tes semailles, de ce que rapportera ton champ chaque année,
²³ et tu mangeras en présence de l'Eternel ton Dieu, dans le lieu qu'il choisira pour y faire demeurer son nom, la dîme de ton blé, de ton moût et de ton huile, et les premiers-nés de ton gros et de ton menu bétail, afin que tu apprennes à craindre l'Eternel ton Dieu à toujours.
²⁴ Et si le chemin est trop long pour toi pour que tu puisses l'y transporter, parce que le lieu que l'Eternel ton Dieu choisira pour y mettre son nom sera trop loin pour toi et parce que l'Eternel t'aura béni,
²⁵ tu échangeras ta dîme pour de l'argent, tu serreras l'argent dans ta main, et tu iras au lieu que l'Eternel ton Dieu aura choisi,
²⁶ et tu donneras l'argent pour tout ce que désirera ton âme, du gros et du menu bétail, du vin et de la cervoise, tout ce que réclamera ton âme, et tu le mangeras là en présence de l'Eternel ton Dieu, et tu te réjouiras, toi et ta maison.
²⁷ Et tu ne délaisseras pas le Lévite qui est dans tes portes, car il n'a point de part ni d'héritage avec toi.
²⁸ Au bout de trois ans tu mettras à part toute la dîme de tes revenus de cette année-là et tu la déposeras dans tes portes.
²⁹ Et le Lévite viendra, car il n'a point de part ni d'héritage avec toi, ainsi que l'étranger, l'orphelin et la veuve qui sont dans tes portes, et ils mangeront et se rassasieront, afin que l'Eternel ton Dieu te bénisse dans toute l'oeuvre que tu entreprendras de tes mains.

⁸ tel est encore le porc, qui a la corne divisée, mais qui ne rumine pas : il sera impur pour vous. Vous ne mangerez pas de leur chair, et vous ne toucherez pas leurs corps morts.
⁹ Voici les animaux que vous mangerez parmi tous ceux qui sont dans les eaux : vous mangerez de tout ce qui a nageoires et écailles ;

²² Tu lèveras la dîme de tout le produit de tes semailles, de ce que ton champ rapportera chaque année.
²³ Et tu mangeras devant Yahweh, ton Dieu, dans le lieu qu'il aura choisi pour y faire habiter ton nom, la dîme de ton blé, de ton vin nouveau et de ton huile, ainsi que les premiers-nés de tes boeufs et de tes brebis, afin que tu apprennes à craindre Yahweh, ton Dieu, à jamais.
²⁴ Mais si le chemin est trop long pour toi, et que tu ne puisses l'y transporter, parce que le lieu que Yahweh choisira pour y faire habiter son nom sera trop loin de toi, lorsque Yahweh, ton Dieu, t'aura béni :
²⁵ tu échangeras ta dîme pour de l'argent et, ayant serré l'argent dans ta main, tu iras au lieu que Yahweh, ton Dieu, aura choisi.
²⁶ Là, tu achèteras avec l'argent tout ce que désirera ton âme, des boeufs, des brebis, du vin, des liqueurs fermentées, tout ce que demandera ton âme, et tu mangeras là devant Yahweh, ton Dieu, et tu te réjouiras, toi et ta maison.
²⁷ Tu ne délaisseras pas le Lévite qui sera dans tes portes, car il n'a ni part ni héritage avec toi.
²⁸ À la fin de chaque troisième année, tu mettras à part toute la dîme de tes produits de cette année-là, et tu la déposeras dans tes portes.
²⁹ Alors viendra le Lévite, qui n'a ni part ni héritage avec toi, ainsi que l'étranger, l'orphelin et la veuve, qui seront dans tes portes, et ils mangeront et se rassasieront, afin que Yahweh, ton Dieu, te bénisse dans toutes les oeuvres que tu entreprendras de tes mains.

¹ Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
² For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
³ Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
⁴ These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
⁵ The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
⁶ And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
⁷ Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
⁸ And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
⁹ These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
¹⁰ And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
¹¹ Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
¹² But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
¹³ And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
¹⁴ And every raven after his kind,
¹⁵ And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
¹⁶ The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
¹⁷ And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
¹⁸ And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
¹⁹ And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
²⁰ But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
²¹ Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
²² Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
²³ And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
²⁴ And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
²⁵ Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
²⁶ And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
²⁷ And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
²⁸ At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
²⁹ And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
