Es 54:5-10 (King James)

⁵ For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
   ⁶ For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. ⁷ For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. ⁸ In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. ⁹ For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. ¹⁰ For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

⁵ En effet, ton époux, c'est celui qui t'a faite,
et son nom est l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers;
celui qui te rachète, c'est le Saint d'Israël,
et on l'appelle Dieu de toute la terre.
⁶ Oui, l'Eternel t'a rappelée comme une femme abandonnée, à l'esprit abattu,
comme une femme des jeunes années qu'on a rejetée, dit ton Dieu.
⁷ Pendant un court moment je t'avais abandonnée,
mais c'est avec une grande compassion que je t'accueillerai.
⁸ Dans un débordement de colère, je m'étais un instant caché à toi,
mais avec un amour éternel j'aurai compassion de toi,
dit l'Eternel, celui qui te rachète.
⁹ En effet, la situation est, pour moi, pareille à celle de Noé:
j'avais juré que le déluge qui a frappé Noé ne frapperait plus la terre;
de même, je jure de ne plus m'irriter contre toi
et de ne plus te menacer.
¹⁰ Même si les montagnes s'éloignaient,
même si les collines étaient ébranlées,
mon amour ne s'éloignera pas de toi
et mon alliance de paix ne sera pas ébranlée,
dit celui qui a compassion de toi, l'Eternel.

   ⁵ Quia dominabitur tui qui fecit te,
Dominus exercituum nomen ejus,
et redemptor tuus, Sanctus Israël :
Deus omnis terræ vocabitur.
   ⁶ Quia ut mulierem derelictam et mœrentem spiritu
vocavit te Dominus,
et uxorem ab adolescentia abjectam,
dixit Deus tuus.
   ⁷ Ad punctum in modico dereliqui te,
et in miserationibus magnis congregabo te.
   ⁸ In momento indignationis abscondi
faciem meam parumper a te ;
et in misericordia sempiterna misertus sum tui,
dixit redemptor tuus, Dominus.
   ⁹ Sicut in diebus Noë istud mihi est,
cui juravi ne inducerem aquas Noë ultra super terram ;
sic juravi ut non irascar tibi,
et non increpem te.
   ¹⁰ Montes enim commovebuntur,
et colles contremiscent ;
misericordia autem mea non recedet a te,
et fœdus pacis meæ non movebitur,
dixit miserator tuus Dominus.
