¹² Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées : Dans cette contrée qui est déserte, au point qu'il n'y a plus ni homme ni bête, et dans toutes ses villes, il y aura encore des cabanes de bergers qui y feront reposer leurs troupeaux ; ¹³ dans les villes des montagnes et dans les villes de la plaine, dans les villes du midi, dans le pays de Benjamin, dans les environs de Jérusalem et dans les villes de Juda ; et les troupeaux passeront encore sous la main de celui qui les compte, a dit l'Eternel. ¹⁴ Voici, des jours viennent, dit l'Eternel, où j'exécuterai la bonne parole que j'ai proférée au sujet de la maison d'Israël et de la maison de Juda. ¹⁵ En ces jours-là et en ce temps-là, je ferai germer à David un germe juste, qui exercera le droit et la justice dans le pays. ¹⁶ En ces jours-là, Juda sera sauvé et Jérusalem habitera en assurance, et elle sera appelée l'Eternel notre justice.
   ¹⁷ Car ainsi parle l'Eternel : Il ne manquera jamais à David de descendant assis sur le trône de la maison d'Israël.

¹² Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. ¹³ In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD. ¹⁴ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. ¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
   ¹⁷ For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
