³ From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
⁴ From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:
⁵ And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.

³ depuis le Shichor qui coule à la frontière de l'Egypte jusqu'à la frontière d'Ekron au nord. Cette région doit être considérée comme cananéenne et est occupée par les cinq princes des Philistins, celui de Gaza, celui d'Asdod, celui d'Askalon, celui de Gath et celui d'Ekron, ainsi que par les Avviens
⁴ au sud. Il reste aussi tout le pays des Cananéens avec Meara, qui appartient aux Sidoniens, jusqu'à Aphek, jusqu'à la frontière avec les Amoréens;
⁵ le pays de Guebal et tout le Liban en direction du soleil levant, depuis Baal-Gad au pied du mont Hermon jusqu'à l'entrée de Hamath;
