   ²⁹ Après ces choses, Josué, fils de Nun, serviteur de l'Eternel, mourut, étant âgé de cent et dix ans. ³⁰ Et on l'ensevelit dans le territoire qu'il avait eu en partage à Thimnath-Sérah, dans la montagne d'Ephraïm, au nord du mont Gaas. ³¹ Et Israël servit l'Eternel pendant toute la vie de Josué, et pendant toute la vie des Anciens qui survécurent à Josué et qui avaient connu toute l'oeuvre que l'Eternel avait accomplie en faveur d'Israël. ³² Et on ensevelit aussi à Sichem les os de Joseph, que les enfants d'Israël avaient emportés d'Egypte, dans la pièce de terre que Jacob avait achetée pour cent késitas des enfants de Hémor, père de Sichem, et les fils de Joseph les reçurent en propriété. ³³ Et Eléazar, fils d'Aaron, mourut, et on l'ensevelît à Guibéa, ville de Phinées, son fils, auquel elle avait été donnée, dans la montagne d'Ephraïm.

   ²⁹ And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old. ³⁰ And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash. ³¹ And Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the LORD, that he had done for Israel. ³² And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph. ³³ And Eleazar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in a hill that pertained to Phinehas his son, which was given him in mount Ephraim.

²⁹ Après ces événements, Josué, fils de Nun, serviteur de l'Eternel, mourut. Il était âgé de 110 ans. ³⁰ On l'ensevelit dans le territoire dont il avait hérité, à Thimnath-Sérach, dans la région montagneuse d'Ephraïm, au nord du mont Gaash. ³¹ Israël servit l'Eternel durant toute la vie de Josué et durant toute la vie des anciens qui lui survécurent et qui connaissaient tout ce que l'Eternel avait fait en faveur d'Israël.
³² Les Israélites avaient rapporté d'Egypte les ossements de Joseph. Ils furent enterrés à Sichem, dans la partie de terrain que Jacob avait achetée aux fils de Hamor, le père de Sichem, pour 100 pièces d'argent et qui faisait partie de l'héritage des descendants de Joseph.
³³ Eléazar, le fils d'Aaron, mourut et on l'enterra à Guibeath-Phinées. Cette colline avait été donnée à son fils Phinées et se trouvait dans la région montagneuse d'Ephraïm.
