²⁸ Et le reste du peuple, les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, les portiers, les chantres, les Néthiniens, et tous ceux qui s'étaient séparés des peuples des pays [étrangers] pour s'attacher à la loi de Dieu, leurs femmes, leurs fils et leurs filles, tous ceux qui avaient de la connaissance et de l'intelligence,
²⁹ se joignirent à leurs frères, les notables, et promirent avec exécration et serment de marcher selon la loi de Dieu, donnée par Moïse, le serviteur de Dieu, et de garder et d'accomplir tous les commandements de l'Eternel notre Seigneur et ses ordonnances et ses statuts,
³⁰ et de ne pas donner nos filles aux gens du pays, et de ne pas prendre leurs filles pour nos fils ;
³¹ et quant aux gens du pays qui apportent des marchandises et toute sorte de denrées au jour du sabbat pour les vendre, de ne rien leur acheter au jour du sabbat ou dans un jour consacré ; et de faire relâche la septième année et de ne réclamer aucun gage.
³² Et nous nous obligeâmes par des ordonnances à donner le tiers d'un sicle par an pour le service de la maison de notre Dieu,
³³ pour les pains de proposition, pour l'oblation perpétuelle, pour l'holocauste perpétuel, pour les sabbats, pour les nouvelles lunes, pour les fêtes, et pour les choses consacrées, pour les sacrifices d'expiation en faveur d'Israël, et pour tout le service de la maison de notre Dieu ;
³⁴ et nous, sacrificateurs, Lévites et peuple, nous jetâmes le sort, au sujet de l'offrande de bois, à fournir d'après nos maisons patriarcales pour la maison de notre Dieu, à époques fixes, chaque année, pour entretenir le feu sur l'autel de l'Eternel notre Dieu, selon ce qui est écrit dans la loi,
³⁵ et [nous nous engageâmes] à apporter les prémices de notre sol et les prémices de tout arbre fruitier, chaque année, à la maison de l'Eternel,
³⁶ ainsi que les premiers-nés de nos fils et de notre bétail, selon ce qui est écrit dans la loi, et les premiers-nés de notre gros et de notre menu bétail, pour les présenter, à la maison de notre Dieu, aux sacrificateurs qui font le service dans la maison de notre Dieu.
³⁷ Et nous apporterons aux sacrificateurs le meilleur de nos moutures, de nos offrandes, et du fruit de tout arbre, du moût et de l'huile, dans les chambres de la maison de notre Dieu, et [nous donnerons] la dîme de notre sol aux Lévites ; les Lévites eux-mêmes prélèveront la dîme dans toutes nos villes rurales,
³⁸ et le sacrificateur, fils d'Aaron, sera avec les Lévites quand ils prélèveront la dîme, et les Lévites apporteront la dîme de la dîme à la maison de notre Dieu, dans les chambres de la maison du trésor,
³⁹ car c'est dans ces chambres que les fils d'Israël et les fils de Lévi doivent apporter ce qui sera prélevé sur le froment, le moût et l'huile, et c'est là que sont les vases du sanctuaire, les sacrificateurs qui font le service, les portiers et les chantres ; et nous n'abandonnerons point la maison de notre Dieu.

²⁸ And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;
²⁹ They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
³⁰ And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, not take their daughters for our sons:
³¹ And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
³² Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;
³³ For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
³⁴ And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:
³⁵ And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD:
³⁶ Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:
³⁷ And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
³⁸ And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.
³⁹ For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

²⁹ omnes qui poterant sapere spondentes pro fratribus suis, optimates eorum, et qui veniebant ad pollicendum et jurandum ut ambularent in lege Dei, quam dederat in manu Moysi servi Dei : ut facerent et custodirent universa mandata Domini Dei nostri, et judicia ejus et cæremonias ejus :
³⁰ et ut non daremus filias nostras populo terræ, et filias eorum non acciperemus filiis nostris.
³¹ Populi quoque terræ, qui important venalia, et omnia ad usum, per diem sabbati ut vendant, non accipiemus ab eis in sabbato et in die sanctificato. Et dimittemus annum septimum, et exactionem universæ manus.
³² Et statuemus super nos præcepta, ut demus tertiam partem sicli per annum ad opus domus Dei nostri,

³⁴ Sortes ergo misimus super oblationem lignorum inter sacerdotes, et Levitas, et populum, ut inferrentur in domum Dei nostri per domos patrum nostrorum, per tempora, a temporibus anni usque ad annum : ut arderent super altare Domini Dei nostri, sicut scriptum est in lege Moysi :
³⁵ et ut afferremus primogenita terræ nostræ, et primitiva universi fructus omnis ligni, ab anno in annum, in domo Domini :
³⁶ et primitiva filiorum nostrorum et pecorum nostrorum, sicut scriptum est in lege, et primitiva boum nostrorum et ovium nostrarum, ut offerrentur in domo Dei nostri, sacerdotibus qui ministrant in domo Dei nostri :

³⁹ Ad gazophylacium enim deportabunt filii Israël, et filii Levi, primitias frumenti, vini, et olei : et ibi erunt vasa sanctificata, et sacerdotes, et cantores, et janitores, et ministri : et non dimittemus domum Dei nostri.
