¹ Heureux l'homme qui ne marche pas selon le conseil des méchants, Ne s'arrête pas dans la voie des pécheurs Et ne s'assied pas dans le cercle des moqueurs,
² Mais qui prend son plaisir dans la loi de l'Eternel Et médite sa loi jour et nuit.
³ Il est comme un arbre planté près des eaux courantes, Qui donne son fruit en sa saison Et dont le feuillage ne se flétrit point ; Tout ce qu'il fait, il le mène à bien.
⁴ Tels ne sont pas les méchants, Mais ils sont comme la balle que le vent emporte ;
⁵ Aussi les méchants ne subsisteront-ils pas dans le jugement, Ni les pécheurs dans l'assemblée des justes.
⁶ Car l'Eternel connaît la voie des justes, Et la voie des méchants aboutit à la ruine.

¹ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
² But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
⁴ The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
⁵ Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
⁶ For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

¹ [Beatus vir qui non abiit in consilio impiorum, et in via peccatorum non stetit, et in cathedra pestilentiæ non sedit ;
² sed in lege Domini voluntas ejus, et in lege ejus meditabitur die ac nocte.
³ Et erit tamquam lignum quod plantatum est secus decursus aquarum, quod fructum suum dabit in tempore suo : et folium ejus non defluet ; et omnia quæcumque faciet prosperabuntur.
⁴ Non sic impii, non sic ; sed tamquam pulvis quem projicit ventus a facie terræ.
