   ¹ Psaume de David.
Je chanterai la bonté et la justice ;
A toi, Eternel, je psalmodierai ;
   ² Je m'appliquerai à suivre la voie de l'intégrité ;
Quand viendras-tu à moi ?
Je marcherai dans l'intégrité de mon coeur
Au milieu de ma maison.
   ³ Je ne mettrai devant mes yeux rien de mauvais.
J'ai en horreur de faire l'iniquité ;
Rien ne s'en attachera à moi.
   ⁴ Loin de moi un coeur faux ;
Le mal, je ne le connais pas.
   ⁵ Celui qui calomnie en secret son prochain,
Je le retranche ;
Celui qui a des regards hautains et un coeur enflé,
Je ne puis le souffrir.
   ⁶ Mes yeux se portent sur les gens de bonne foi du pays,
Pour qu'ils habitent avec moi.
Celui marche dans la voie de l'intégrité,
Celui-là me servira.
   ⁷ Il n'habitera point dans ma maison,
Celui qui use de tromperie.
Qui prononce le mensonge
Ne subsistera point devant moi.
   ⁸ Chaque matin je retrancherai
Tous les méchants du pays,
Pour extirper de la ville de l'Eternel
Tous les ouvriers d'iniquité.

   ¹ I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. ² I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. ³ I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. ⁴ A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. ⁵ Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. ⁶ Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. ⁷ He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. ⁸ I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
