¹ Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
² When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
³ The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
⁴ I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
⁵ Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
⁶ For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
⁷ But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
⁸ For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
⁹ But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
¹⁰ All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

² Ô Dieu ! nous t'avons célébré ; nous t'avons célébré ; et ton Nom était près de nous ; on a raconté tes merveilles.
³ Quand j'aurai accepté l'assignation, je jugerai droitement.
⁴ Le pays s'écoulait avec tous ceux qui y habitent ; mais j'ai affermi ses piliers ; Sélah.
⁵ J'ai dit aux insensés : n'agissez point follement ; et aux méchants : ne faites point les superbes.
⁶ N'affectez point la domination, et ne parlez point avec fierté.
⁷ Car l'élévation ne vient point d'Orient, ni d'Occident, ni du désert.
⁸ Car c'est Dieu qui gouverne ; il abaisse l'un, et élève l'autre.
⁹ Même il y a une coupe en la main de l'Eternel, et le vin rougit dedans ; il est plein de mixtion, et [Dieu] en verse ; certainement tous les méchants de la terre en suceront et boiront les lies.
¹⁰ Mais moi, j'en ferai le récit à toujours, je psalmodierai au Dieu de Jacob.

² Nous te louons, ô Dieu! nous te louons;Ton nom est dans nos bouches;Nous publions tes merveilles.
³ Au temps que j'aurai fixé,Je jugerai avec droiture.
⁴ La terre tremble avec tous ceux qui l'habitent:Moi, j'affermis ses colonnes. - Pause.
⁵ Je dis à ceux qui se glorifient: Ne vous glorifiez pas!Et aux méchants: N'élevez pas la tête!
⁶ N'élevez pas si haut votre tête,Ne parlez pas avec tant d'arrogance!
⁷ Car ce n'est ni de l'orient, ni de l'occident,Ni du désert, que vient l'élévation.
⁸ Mais Dieu est celui qui juge:Il abaisse l'un, et il élève l'autre.
⁹ Il y a dans la main de l'Eternel une coupe,Où fermente un vin plein de mélange,Et il en verse:Tous les méchants de la terre sucent, boivent jusqu'à la lie.
