Ez 14 (Darby)

¹ Et des hommes d'entre les anciens d'Israël vinrent vers moi, et s'assirent devant moi.
² Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :
³ Fils d'homme, ces hommes ont élevé leurs idoles dans leurs cœurs et ont placé devant leur face la pierre d'achoppement de leur iniquité. Serais-je consulté par eux ?
⁴ C'est pourquoi parle-leur, et dis-leur : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Quiconque, de la maison d'Israël, aura élevé ses idoles dans son cœur et aura placé devant sa face la pierre d'achoppement de son iniquité, et viendra vers le prophète, - moi, l'Éternel, je lui répondrai selon ceci, selon la multitude de ses idoles ;
⁵ afin de prendre la maison d'Israël par leur propre cœur, car ils se sont tous séparés de moi par leurs idoles.
⁶ C'est pourquoi, dis à la maison d'Israël : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Revenez, détournez-vous de vos idoles, et détournez vos faces de toutes vos abominations.
⁷ Car quiconque, de la maison d'Israël ou des étrangers qui séjournent en Israël, se sépare de moi, et élève ses idoles dans son cœur et place la pierre d'achoppement de son iniquité devant sa face, et viendra vers le prophète pour me consulter par lui, - moi, l'Éternel, je lui répondrai par moi-même ;
⁸ et je mettrai ma face contre cet homme et je le rendrai désolé de telle sorte qu'il sera en signe et en proverbe, et je le retrancherai du milieu de mon peuple ; et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel.
⁹ Et si le prophète est séduit, et qu'il profère une parole, moi l'Éternel, j'ai séduit ce prophète ; et j'étendrai ma main sur lui, et je le détruirai du milieu de mon peuple Israël.
¹⁰ Et ils porteront leur iniquité : la peine de l'iniquité du prophète sera comme la peine de l'iniquité de celui qui consulte,
¹¹ afin que la maison d'Israël ne s'égare plus d'auprès de moi, et qu'ils ne se rendent plus impurs par toutes leurs transgressions. Et ils seront mon peuple, et moi je serai leur Dieu*, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
¹² Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :
¹³ Fils d'homme, si un pays pèche contre moi en commettant une infidélité, et que j'étende ma main sur lui, et que je lui brise le bâton du pain, et y envoie la famine, et retranche du milieu de lui les hommes et les bêtes,
¹⁴ et que ces trois hommes, Noé, Daniel et Job, fussent au milieu de lui, ceux-ci délivreraient leurs âmes par leur justice, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
¹⁵ Si je fais passer les bêtes mauvaises par le pays, et qu'elles le dépeuplent, et qu'il soit devenu une désolation en sorte que personne n'y passe à cause de ces bêtes, -
¹⁶ ces trois hommes fussent-ils au milieu de lui, je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, s'ils délivraient fils ou filles ! eux seuls seraient délivrés, et le pays sera une désolation.
¹⁷ Ou, [si] je fais venir l'épée sur ce pays-là, et que je dise : Épée, passe par le pays ; et que je retranche du milieu de lui les hommes et les bêtes, -
¹⁸ ces trois hommes fussent-ils au milieu de lui, je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, ils ne délivreraient ni fils ni filles ! mais eux seuls seraient délivrés.
¹⁹ Ou, [si] j'envoie la peste sur ce pays-là, et que je verse ma fureur sur lui en [faisant couler le] sang, pour retrancher du milieu de lui les hommes et les bêtes, -
²⁰ Noé, Daniel et Job, fussent-ils au milieu de lui, je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, s'ils délivraient fils ou filles ! eux [seulement], par leur justice, délivreraient leurs âmes.
²¹ Car ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Combien plus si j'envoie mes quatre jugements désastreux, l'épée, et la famine, et les bêtes mauvaises, et la peste, contre Jérusalem, pour en retrancher les hommes et les bêtes !
²² Mais voici, il y aura en elle un reste réchappé de gens qui en sortiront, des fils et des filles ; voici, ils sortiront vers vous, et vous verrez leur voie et leurs actions, et vous vous consolerez du mal que j'ai fait venir sur Jérusalem, de tout ce que j'ai fait venir sur elle.
²³ Et ils vous consoleront, car vous verrez leur voie et leurs actions ; et vous saurez que ce n'est pas sans raison que j'ai fait tout ce que j'ai fait en elle, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.

Ez 14 (King James)

¹ Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
² And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
³ Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?
⁴ Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
⁵ That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
⁶ Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
⁷ For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:
⁸ And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
⁹ And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
¹⁰ And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;
¹¹ That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.
¹² The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
¹³ Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
¹⁴ Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
¹⁵ If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
¹⁶ Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.
¹⁷ Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:
¹⁸ Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.
¹⁹ Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
²⁰ Though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
²¹ For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
²² Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
²³ And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.

¹ Et venerunt ad me viri seniorum Israël, et sederunt coram me.
² Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens :
³ Fili hominis, viri isti posuerunt immunditias suas in cordibus suis, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerunt contra faciem suam : numquid interrogatus respondebo eis ?
⁴ Propter hoc loquere eis, et dices ad eos : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Homo, homo de domo Israël, qui posuerit immunditias suas in corde suo, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerit contra faciem suam, et venerit ad prophetam interrogans per eum me : ego Dominus respondebo ei in multitudine immunditiarum suarum,
⁵ ut capiatur domus Israël in corde suo, quo recesserunt a me in cunctis idolis suis.
⁶ Propterea dic ad domum Israël : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Convertimini, et recedite ab idolis vestris, et ab universis contaminationibus vestris avertite facies vestras.
⁷ Quia homo, homo de domo Israël, et de proselytis quicumque advena fuerit in Israël, si alienatus fuerit a me, et posuerit idola sua in corde suo, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerit contra faciem suam, et venerit ad prophetam ut interroget per eum me : ego Dominus respondebo ei per me :
⁸ et ponam faciem meam super hominem illum, et faciam eum in exemplum et in proverbium, et disperdam eum de medio populi mei : et scietis quia ego Dominus.
⁹ Et propheta cum erraverit, et locutus fuerit verbum, ego Dominus decepi prophetam illum, et extendam manum meam super illum, et delebo eum de medio populi mei Israël.
¹⁰ Et portabunt iniquitatem suam : juxta iniquitatem interrogantis, sic iniquitas prophetæ erit :
¹¹ ut non erret ultra domus Israël a me, neque polluatur in universis prævaricationibus suis : sed sint mihi in populum, et ego sim eis in Deum, ait Dominus exercituum.
¹² Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens :
¹³ [Fili hominis, terra cum peccaverit mihi, ut prævaricetur prævaricans, extendam manum meam super eam, et conteram virgam panis ejus, et immittam in eam famem, et interficiam de ea hominem et jumentum.
¹⁴ Et si fuerint tres viri isti in medio ejus, Noë, Daniel, et Job, ipsi justitia sua liberabunt animas suas, ait Dominus exercituum.
¹⁵ Quod si et bestias pessimas induxero super terram ut vastem eam, et fuerit invia, eo quod non sit pertransiens propter bestias :
¹⁶ tres viri isti si fuerint in ea, vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, quia nec filios nec filias liberabunt, sed ipsi soli liberabuntur, terra autem desolabitur.
¹⁷ Vel si gladium induxero super terram illam, et dixero gladio : Transi per terram : et interfecero de ea hominem et jumentum,
¹⁸ et tres viri isti fuerint in medio ejus : vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, non liberabunt filios neque filias, sed ipsi soli liberabuntur.
¹⁹ Si autem et pestilentiam immisero super terram illam, et effudero indignationem meam super eam in sanguine, ut auferam ex ea hominem et jumentum,
²⁰ et Noë, et Daniel, et Job fuerint in medio ejus : vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, quia filium et filiam non liberabunt, sed ipsi justitia sua liberabunt animas suas.
²¹ Quoniam hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Quod etsi quatuor judicia mea pessima, gladium, et famem, ac bestias malas, et pestilentiam, immisero in Jerusalem, ut interficiam de ea hominem et pecus,
²² tamen relinquetur in ea salvatio educentium filios et filias : ecce ipsi ingredientur ad vos, et videbitis viam eorum et adinventiones eorum, et consolabimini super malo quod induxi in Jerusalem, in omnibus quæ importavi super eam.
²³ Et consolabuntur vos, cum videritis viam eorum et adinventiones eorum : et cognoscetis quod non frustra fecerim omnia quæ feci in ea, ait Dominus Deus.]
