Jr 17 (Darby)

¹ Le péché de Juda est écrit avec un style de fer, avec une pointe de diamant ; il est gravé sur la table de leur cœur, et sur les cornes de leurs autels,
² comme leurs fils se souviennent de leurs autels et de leurs ashères auprès des arbres verts, sur les hautes collines.
³ Ma montagne dans les champs, ton bien, tous tes trésors, je les livrerai au pillage, - tes hauts lieux, à cause de [ton] péché dans tous tes confins.
⁴ Et, à cause de toi-même, tu délaisseras ton héritage que je t'avais donné, et je t'asservirai à tes ennemis dans un pays que tu ne connais pas ; car vous avez allumé un feu dans ma colère ; il brûlera à toujours.
⁵ Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Maudit l'homme qui se confie en l'homme, et qui fait de la chair son bras, et dont le cœur se retire de l'Éternel !
⁶ Et il sera comme un dénué dans le désert, et il ne verra pas quand le bien arrivera, mais il demeurera dans des lieux secs au désert, dans un pays de sel et inhabité.
⁷ Béni l'homme qui se confie en l'Éternel, et de qui l'Éternel est la confiance !
⁸ Il sera comme un arbre planté près des eaux ; et il étendra ses racines vers le courant ; et il ne s'apercevra pas* quand la chaleur viendra, et sa feuille sera [toujours] verte ; et dans l'année de la sécheresse il ne craindra pas, et il ne cessera de porter du fruit.
⁹ Le cœur est trompeur par-dessus tout, et incurable ; qui le connaît ?
¹⁰ Moi, l'Éternel, je sonde le cœur, j'éprouve les reins ; et [cela] pour rendre à chacun selon ses voies, selon le fruit de ses actions.
¹¹ Comme la perdrix qui couve ce qu'elle n'a pas pondu, celui qui acquiert des richesses, et non avec droiture, les laissera au milieu de ses jours, et, à sa fin, il sera un insensé.
¹² Le lieu de notre sanctuaire est un trône de gloire, un lieu haut élevé dès le commencement.
¹³ Attente d'Israël, Éternel ! tous ceux qui t'abandonnent seront honteux. Ceux qui se retirent de moi seront écrits sur la terre, car ils ont délaissé la source des eaux vives, l'Éternel.
¹⁴ Guéris-moi, Éternel ! et je serai guéri ; sauve-moi, et je serai sauvé ; car c'est toi qui es ma louange !
¹⁵ Voici, ceux-ci me disent : Où est la parole de l'Éternel ? Qu'elle vienne donc !
¹⁶ Mais moi, je ne me suis pas hâté de cesser d'être pasteur en te suivant, et je n'ai pas désiré le mauvais jour, tu le sais ; ce qui est sorti de mes lèvres a été devant ta face.
¹⁷ Ne me sois point une épouvante : tu es mon refuge au mauvais jour.
¹⁸ Que ceux qui me persécutent soient honteux, et que moi, je ne sois pas honteux ; qu'ils aient peur et que moi, je n'aie pas peur ; fais venir sur eux le jour de malheur, et ruine-les d'une double ruine.
¹⁹ Ainsi m'a dit l'Éternel : Va, et tiens-toi dans la porte des fils du peuple, par laquelle entrent les rois de Juda et par laquelle ils sortent, et dans toutes les portes de Jérusalem. ;
²⁰ et dis-leur : Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel, vous, rois de Juda, et tout Juda, et vous tous, habitants de Jérusalem, qui entrez par ces portes :
²¹ Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Prenez garde à vos âmes, et ne portez pas de fardeau le jour du sabbat, ni n'en faites passer par les portes de Jérusalem.
²² Et ne portez pas de fardeau hors de vos maisons, le jour du sabbat, et ne faites aucune œuvre, et sanctifiez le jour du sabbat, comme j'ai commandé à vos pères ;
²³ mais ils n'écoutèrent pas, et n'inclinèrent pas leur oreille ; mais ils roidirent leur cou, pour ne pas écouter et pour ne pas recevoir l'instruction.
²⁴ Et il arrivera, si vous m'écoutez attentivement, dit l'Éternel, pour ne pas faire passer de fardeau par les portes de cette ville, le jour du sabbat, et pour sanctifier le jour du sabbat, pour ne faire aucune œuvre ce jour-là,
²⁵ qu'alors entreront par les portes de cette ville les rois et les princes assis sur le trône de David, montés sur des chars et sur des chevaux, eux et leurs princes, les hommes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem ; et cette ville sera habitée à toujours ;
²⁶ et on viendra des villes de Juda, et des environs de Jérusalem, et du pays de Benjamin, et du pays plat, et de la montagne, et du midi, apportant des holocaustes, et des sacrifices, et des offrandes de gâteau, et de l'encens, et apportant des actions de grâces à la maison de l'Éternel.
²⁷ Mais si vous ne m'écoutez pas pour sanctifier le jour du sabbat, et pour ne pas porter de fardeau en entrant par les portes de Jérusalem le jour du sabbat, j'allumerai un feu dans ses portes, et il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem, et ne sera pas éteint.

¹ The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;
² Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.
³ O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
⁴ And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.
⁵ Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
⁶ For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
⁷ Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
⁸ For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
¹⁰ I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
¹¹ As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
¹² A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.
¹³ O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
¹⁴ Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
¹⁵ Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.
¹⁶ As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
¹⁷ Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.
¹⁸ Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
¹⁹ Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
²⁰ And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
²¹ Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
²² Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
²³ But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.
²⁴ And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
²⁵ Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
²⁶ And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.
²⁷ But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

¹ [Peccatum Juda scriptum est stylo ferreo in ungue adamantino, exaratum super latitudinem cordis eorum, et in cornibus ararum eorum.
² Cum recordati fuerint filii eorum ararum suarum, et lucorum suorum, lignorumque frondentium, in montibus excelsis,
³ sacrificantes in agro : fortitudinem tuam, et omnes thesauros tuos in direptionem dabo ; excelsa tua propter peccata in universis finibus tuis.
⁴ Et relinqueris sola ab hæreditate tua, quam dedi tibi, et servire te faciam inimicis tuis in terra quam ignoras : quoniam ignem succendisti in furore meo : usque in æternum ardebit.]
⁵ [Hæc dicit Dominus : Maledictus homo qui confidit in homine, et ponit carnem brachium suum, et a Domino recedit cor ejus.
⁶ Erit enim quasi myricæ in deserto, et non videbit cum venerit bonum : sed habitabit in siccitate in deserto, in terra salsuginis et inhabitabili.
⁷ Benedictus vir qui confidit in Domino, et erit Dominus fiducia ejus.
⁸ Et erit quasi lignum quod transplantatur super aquas, quod ad humorem mittit radices suas, et non timebit cum venerit æstus : et erit folium ejus viride, et in tempore siccitatis non erit sollicitum, nec aliquando desinet facere fructum.
⁹ Pravum est cor omnium, et inscrutabile : quis cognoscet illud ?
¹⁰ Ego Dominus scrutans cor, et probans renes : qui do unicuique juxta viam suam, et juxta fructum adinventionum suarum.
¹¹ Perdix fovit quæ non peperit : fecit divitias, et non in judicio : in dimidio dierum suorum derelinquet eas, et in novissimo suo erit insipiens.
¹² Solium gloriæ altitudinis a principio, locus sanctificationis nostræ.
¹³ Exspectatio Israël, Domine, omnes qui te derelinquunt confundentur : recedentes a te, in terra scribentur, quoniam dereliquerunt venam aquarum viventium Dominum.
¹⁴ Sana me, Domine, et sanabor : salvum me fac, et salvus ero : quoniam laus mea tu es.
¹⁵ Ecce ipsi dicunt ad me : Ubi est verbum Domini ? veniat :
¹⁶ et ego non sum turbatus, te pastorem sequens : et diem hominis non desideravi, tu scis : quod egressum est de labiis meis, rectum in conspectu tuo fuit.
¹⁷ Non sis tu mihi formidini : spes mea tu in die afflictionis.
¹⁸ Confundantur qui me persequuntur, et non confundar ego : paveant illi, et non paveam ego : induc super eos diem afflictionis, et duplici contritione contere eos.]

²¹ Hæc dicit Dominus : Custodite animas vestras, et nolite portare pondera in die sabbati, nec inferatis per portas Jerusalem :
²² et nolite ejicere onera de domibus vestris in die sabbati, et omne opus non facietis : sanctificate diem sabbati, sicut præcepi patribus vestris.
²³ Et non audierunt, nec inclinaverunt aurem suam : sed induraverunt cervicem suam, ne audirent me, et ne acciperent disciplinam.
²⁴ Et erit : si audieritis me, dicit Dominus, ut non inferatis onera per portas civitatis hujus in die sabbati : et si sanctificaveritis diem sabbati, ne faciatis in eo omne opus :
²⁵ ingredientur per portas civitatis hujus reges et principes, sedentes super solium David, et ascendentes in curribus et equis, ipsi et principes eorum, viri Juda, et habitatores Jerusalem : et habitabitur civitas hæc in sempiternum.
²⁶ Et venient de civitatibus Juda, et de circuitu Jerusalem, et de terra Benjamin, et de campestribus, et de montuosis, et ab austro, portantes holocaustum, et victimam, et sacrificium, et thus, et inferent oblationem in domum Domini.
²⁷ Si autem non audieritis me ut sanctificetis diem sabbati, et ne portetis onus, et ne inferatis per portas Jerusalem in die sabbati, succendam ignem in portis ejus, et devorabit domos Jerusalem, et non extinguetur.]
