¹ Et les principaux du peuple habitaient à Jérusalem, et le reste du peuple tira au sort pour envoyer un homme sur dix habiter à Jérusalem, la ville sainte, et les neuf autres demeurèrent dans les villes.
² Et le peuple bénit tous les hommes qui s'offrirent volontairement à habiter à Jérusalem.
³ Et voici les principaux de la province qui habitèrent à Jérusalem et dans les villes de Juda ; ils habitèrent chacun dans sa possession, dans leurs villes, Israël, les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, les Néthiniens et les fils des serviteurs de Salomon.
⁴ Et à Jérusalem demeurèrent, d'entre les fils de Juda et d'entre les fils de Benjamin : d'entre les fils de Juda, Athaïa, fils d'Uzzia, fils de Zacharie, fils d'Amaria, fils de Séphatia, fils de Mahalaléel, d'entre les fils de Pérets.
⁵ Et Maaséia, fils de Baruc, fils de Col-Hozé, fils de Hazaïa, fils d'Adaïa, fils de Jojarib, fils de Zacharie, fils du Silonite.
⁶ Tous les fils de Pérets qui habitaient à Jérusalem étaient au nombre de quatre cent soixante-huit hommes vaillants.
⁷ Et voici les fils de Benjamin : Sallu, fils de Mésullam, fils de Joed, fils de Pédaïa, fils de Kolaïa, fils de Maaséia, fils d'Ithiel, fils d'Esaïe.
⁸ Et après lui venaient Gabbaï, Sallaï, neuf cent vingt-huit hommes.
⁹ Et Joël, fils de Zicri, était établi sur eux, et Juda, le fils de Sénua, était chef de la ville en second.
¹⁰ D'entre les sacrificateurs, Jédaïa, fils de Jojarib, Jakin,
¹¹ Séraïa, fils de Hilkija, fils de Mésullam, fils de Tsadok, fils de Mérajoth, fils d'Ahitub, préposé à la maison de Dieu,
¹² et leurs frères, préposés au service de la maison, huit cent vingt-deux, et Adaïa, fils de Jéroham, fils de Pélalia, fils d'Amtsi, fils de Zacharie, fils de Paschur, fils de Malkija,
¹³ et ses frères, chefs de maisons patriarcales, deux cent quarante-deux, et Amassaï, fils d'Azaréel, fils d'Achzaï, fils de Mésillémoth, fils d'Immer,
¹⁴ et leurs frères, hommes forts et vaillants, cent vingt-huit ; et Zabdiel, fils de Guédolim, était établi sur eux.
¹⁵ Et des Lévites, Sémaïa, fils de Hassub, fils d'Azrikam, fils de Hasabia, fils de Bunni
¹⁶ et Sabthaï et Jozabad, chargés des affaires extérieures de la maison de Dieu, d'entre les chefs des Lévites,
¹⁷ et Matthania, fils de Mica, fils de Zabdi, fils d'Asaph, qui entonnait les louanges lors de la prière, et Bakbukia, le second, d'entre ses frères, et Abda, fils de Sammua, fils de Galal, fils de Jédithun.
¹⁸ Tous les Lévites qui habitaient dans la ville sainte étaient au nombre de deux cent quatre-vingt-quatre.
¹⁹ Et les portiers, Akkub, Talmon et leurs frères, qui gardaient les portes, étaient au nombre de cent soixante-douze.
²⁰ Et le reste d'Israël, des sacrificateurs, des Lévites, était dans toutes les villes de Juda, chacun dans sa propriété.
²¹ Et les Néthiniens habitaient à Ophel, et Tsiha et Guispa étaient à la tête des Néthiniens ;
²² et celui qui était établi sur les Lévites à Jérusalem était Uzzi, fils de Bani, fils de Hasabia, fils de Matthania, fils de Mica, d'entre les fils d'Asaph, chantres chargés du service de la maison de Dieu ;
²³ car il y avait un ordre du roi les concernant et il y avait un contrat pour les chantres, pour chaque jour.
²⁴ Et Péthachia, fils de Mésézabéel, des fils de Zérach, fils de Juda, était auprès du roi pour toutes les affaires du peuple.
²⁵ Et quant aux bourgs situés dans leurs territoires, des fils de Juda demeuraient à Kirjath-Arba et dans les villes de son ressort, et à Dibon et dans les villes de son ressort, et à Jékabtséel et ses bourgs,
²⁶ et à Jésua et à Molada et à Beth-Pélet
²⁷ et à Hatsar-Schual et à Béerséba et dans les villes de son ressort,
²⁸ et à Tsiklag et à Mécona et dans les villes de son ressort,
²⁹ et à En-Rimmon et à Tsoréa et à Jarmuth,
³⁰ Zanoah, Adullam et leurs bourgs, Lakis et ses territoires, Azéka et les villes de son ressort et ils s'établirent depuis Béerséba jusqu'à la vallée de Hinnom.
³¹ Et les fils de Benjamin s'établirent depuis Guéba, dans Micmas, et Ajja et Béthel et les villes de son ressort,
³² Anathoth, Nob, Anania,
³³ Hatsor, Rama, Guitthaïm,
³⁴ Hadid, Tséboïm, Néballat,
³⁵ Lod et Ono, dans la vallée des Charpentiers.
³⁶ Et des Lévites, des divisions de Juda, furent attribués à Benjamin.

¹ And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
² And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
³ Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants.
⁴ And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
⁵ And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.
⁶ All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.
⁷ And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.

¹³ And his brethren, chief of the fathers, two hundred forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
¹⁴ And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men.
¹⁵ Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
¹⁶ And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.
¹⁷ And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
¹⁸ All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.
¹⁹ Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two.
²⁰ And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
²¹ But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.
²² The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
²³ For it was the king's commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.
²⁴ And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.
²⁵ And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,
²⁶ And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Bethphelet,
²⁷ And at Hazarshual, and at Beersheba, and in the villages thereof,
²⁸ And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,
²⁹ And at Enrimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth,
³⁰ Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
³¹ The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel, and in their villages.
³² And at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
³³ Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
³⁴ Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
³⁵ Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
³⁶ And of the Levites were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.
