¹ Et l'Eternel me dit. Va encore aimer une femme aimée d'un amant et adultère, comme l'Eternel aime les fils d'Israël, tandis qu'eux se tournent vers d'autres dieux et aiment les gâteaux de raisins.
² Et je l'achetai pour quinze sicles d'argent, un homer d'orge et un létec d'orge.
³ Et je lui dis : Tu me demeureras là pendant de longs jours, tu ne te prostitueras point, et tu ne seras à aucun homme, et moi, je ferai de même pour toi.
⁴ Car pendant de longs jours les fils d'Israël demeureront sans roi et sans chef, sans sacrifice et sans statue, sans éphod ni théraphim.
⁵ Puis les fils d'Israël se convertiront et se remettront à chercher l'Eternel leur Dieu et David leur roi ; tremblants, ils se retireront vers l'Eternel et vers sa bonté, à la fin des temps.

¹ Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
² So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
³ And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
⁴ For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
⁵ Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

¹ Et dixit Dominus ad me : Adhuc vade, et dilige mulierem dilectam amico et adulteram, sicut diligit Dominus filios Israël, et ipsi respiciunt ad deos alienos, et diligunt vinacia uvarum.
² Et fodi eam mihi quindecim argenteis, et coro hordei, et dimidio coro hordei.
³ Et dixi ad eam : Dies multos exspectabis me ; non fornicaberis, et non eris viro ; sed et ego exspectabo te.
⁴ Quia dies multos sedebunt filii Israël sine rege, et sine principe, et sine sacrificio, et sine altari, et sine ephod, et sine theraphim.
⁵ Et post hæc revertentur filii Israël, et quærent Dominum Deum suum, et David regem suum : et pavebunt ad Dominum, et ad bonum ejus, in novissimo dierum.
