Ps 41 (Annotée Neuchâtel)

¹ Au maître chantre. Psaume de David.
² Heureux celui qui se conduit sagement envers l'affligé ; Au jour du malheur, l'Eternel le délivrera.
³ L'Eternel le gardera et le conservera en vie ; Il sera heureux sur la terre, Et tu ne le livreras pas aux désirs de ses ennemis.
⁴ L'Eternel le soutiendra, quand il sera sur un lit de souffrance ; Tu transformeras entièrement sa couche, quand il sera malade.
⁵ Pour moi, je dis : Eternel, aie pitié de moi, Guéris mon âme, car j'ai péché contre toi.
⁶ Mes ennemis disent méchamment à mon sujet : Quand mourra-t-il ? Quand périra son nom ?
⁷ L'un d'eux vient-il me voir ? il parle faussement, Son coeur amasse de mauvaises pensées. Il sort, et il se met à parler.
⁸ Réunis, tous ceux qui me haïssent chuchotent contre moi, Contre moi ils se livrent à de mauvaises pensées.
⁹ Un mal pernicieux s'est emparé de lui. Gisant comme il l'est, il ne se relèvera pas.
¹⁰ Même mon ami, à qui je me fiais, qui mangeait mon pain, A levé le talon contre moi.
¹¹ Mais, toi, Eternel, aie pitié de moi, et relève-moi, Et que je leur paie leur salaire !
¹² A ceci je reconnaîtrai que tu prends plaisir en moi, Si mon ennemi n'a pas lieu de triompher de joie à mon sujet.
¹³ Pour moi, tu m'as soutenu dans mon intégrité, Et tu m'as établi en ta présence pour toujours.
¹⁴ Béni soit l'Eternel, le dieu d'Israël, d'éternité en éternité ! Amen, amen.

¹ Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
² The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
³ The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
⁴ I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
⁵ Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
⁶ And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
⁷ All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
⁸ An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
⁹ Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
¹⁰ But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
¹¹ By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
¹² And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
¹³ Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
