² Que tes tabernacles sont aimables, Eternel des armées !
³ Mon âme se consume et languit après les parvis de l'Eternel ; Mon coeur et ma chair crient vers le Dieu vivant.
⁴ Le passereau même a trouvé une demeure, Et l'hirondelle un nid, où mettre ses petits... Tes autels, ô Eternel des armées ! Mon Roi et mon Dieu !
⁵ Heureux les habitants de ta maison ! Ils peuvent te célébrer toujours. (Jeu d'instruments.)
⁶ Heureux l'homme dont la force est en toi ! Ils trouvent dans leur coeur des chemins tout tracés.
⁷ Passant par la vallée de Baca, ils la changent en fontaines, Et la pluie d'automne la couvre de bénédictions.
⁸ Ils vont de force en force, Pour se présenter devant Dieu en Sion.
⁹ Eternel, Dieu des armées ! écoute ma prière ; Prête l'oreille, Dieu de Jacob ! (Jeu d'instruments.)
¹⁰ Toi qui es notre bouclier, vois, ô Dieu ! Et regarde la face de ton oint !
¹¹ Car mieux vaut un jour dans tes parvis que mille ailleurs. J'aime mieux me tenir sur le seuil de la maison de mon Dieu Que d'habiter dans les tentes des méchants.
¹² Car l'Eternel Dieu est un soleil et un bouclier, L'Eternel donne la grâce et la gloire, Il ne prive d'aucun bien ceux qui marchent dans l'intégrité.
¹³ Eternel des armées ! heureux l'homme qui se confie en toi !

¹ How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
² My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
³ Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
⁴ Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
⁵ Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
⁶ Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
⁷ They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
⁸ O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
⁹ Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
¹⁰ For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
¹² O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
