KJV ¹ Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

S21 ¹ Voici les classes des descendants d'Aaron. Les fils d'Aaron étaient Nadab, Abihu, Eléazar et Ithamar.

BCC ² Fils d'Aaron : Nadab, Abiu, Éléazar et Ithamar. Nadab et Abiu moururent avant leur père, sans avoir de fils, et Éléazar et Ithamar remplirent les fonctions du sacerdoce.

KJV ² But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

S21 ² Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père, sans avoir de fils. Quant à Eléazar et Ithamar, ils exercèrent la fonction de prêtre.

KJV ³ And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.

S21 ³ David répartit les descendants d'Aaron en les classant d'après le service qu'ils avaient à faire. Il fut aidé dans cette tâche par Tsadok, un des descendants d'Eléazar, et par Achimélec, un des descendants d'Ithamar.

BCC ⁴ On trouva parmi les fils d'Éléazar plus de chefs que parmi les fils d'Ithamar, et on les répartit ainsi : pour les fils d'Éléazar, seize chefs de famille, et, pour les fils d'Ithamar, huit chefs de famille.

KJV ⁴ And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.

S21 ⁴ On trouva parmi les fils d'Eléazar plus de chefs que parmi les fils d'Ithamar, et on les répartit en classes: les fils d'Eléazar eurent 16 chefs de famille, et les fils d'Ithamar 8.

BCC ⁵ On les répartit par le sort, les uns comme les autres, car il se trouvait des princes du sanctuaire et des princes de Dieu aussi bien parmi les fils d'Éléazar que parmi les fils d'Ithamar.

KJV ⁵ Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

KJV ⁶ And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

Voilà les Lévites en fonction de leurs familles.

BCC ³¹ Ce sont là les fils de Lévi, selon leurs familles. Eux aussi, comme leurs frères, les fils d'Aaron, ils tirèrent le sort devant le roi David, devant Sadoc et Achimélech, et devant les chefs de famille sacerdotales et lévitiques, les plus anciens étant sur le même pied que les plus jeunes.

KJV ³¹ These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.

S21 ³¹ Tout comme les fils d'Aaron, leurs frères, ils eurent eux aussi recours au tirage au sort en présence du roi David, de Tsadok et d'Achimélec ainsi que des chefs de famille des prêtres et des Lévites. Il en alla de même pour chaque chef de maison comme pour le plus petit de ses frères.
