KJV ¹ Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

KJV ² But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

KJV ³ And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.

S21 ³ David répartit les descendants d'Aaron en les classant d'après le service qu'ils avaient à faire. Il fut aidé dans cette tâche par Tsadok, un des descendants d'Eléazar, et par Achimélec, un des descendants d'Ithamar.

WLC ³ וַיֶּֽחָלְקֵ֣ם דָּוִ֔יד וְצָדוֹק֙ מִן־ בְּנֵ֣י אֶלְעָזָ֔ר וַאֲחִימֶ֖לֶךְ מִן־ בְּנֵ֣י אִיתָמָ֑ר לִפְקֻדָּתָ֖ם בַּעֲבֹדָתָֽם׃

KJV ⁴ And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.

S21 ⁴ On trouva parmi les fils d'Eléazar plus de chefs que parmi les fils d'Ithamar, et on les répartit en classes: les fils d'Eléazar eurent 16 chefs de famille, et les fils d'Ithamar 8.

KJV ⁵ Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

S21 ⁵ On eut recours au tirage au sort pour les répartir les uns avec les autres, car les responsables du sanctuaire et les serviteurs de Dieu étaient aussi bien des descendants d'Eléazar que d'Ithamar.

WLC ⁵ וַיַּחְלְק֥וּם בְּגוֹרָל֖וֹת אֵ֣לֶּה עִם־ אֵ֑לֶּה כִּי־ הָי֤וּ שָֽׂרֵי־ קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ וְשָׂרֵ֣י הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים מִבְּנֵ֥י אֶלְעָזָ֖ר וּבִבְנֵ֥י אִיתָמָֽר׃

KJV ⁶ And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

S21 ⁶ Shemaeja, fils de Nathanaël, le secrétaire membre de la tribu de Lévi, les inscrivit en présence du roi et des princes, du prêtre Tsadok et d'Achimélec, fils d'Abiathar, ainsi que des chefs de famille des prêtres et des Lévites. On tira au sort à tour de rôle une famille pour Eléazar et une pour Ithamar.

KJV ³¹ These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.

S21 ³¹ Tout comme les fils d'Aaron, leurs frères, ils eurent eux aussi recours au tirage au sort en présence du roi David, de Tsadok et d'Achimélec ainsi que des chefs de famille des prêtres et des Lévites. Il en alla de même pour chaque chef de maison comme pour le plus petit de ses frères.
