KJV ¹ Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

S21 ¹ Lorsque l'un d'entre vous a un litige avec un autre, comment ose-t-il demander justice devant les injustes, et non devant les saints?

KJV ² Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

S21 ² Ne savez-vous pas que les saints jugeront le monde? Et si c'est par vous que le monde doit être jugé, êtes-vous incapables de rendre des jugements de faible importance?

KJV ³ Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

S21 ³ Ne savez-vous pas que nous jugerons les anges? Combien plus les affaires de la vie courante!

KJV ⁴ If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

S21 ⁴ Or si vous avez des litiges concernant les affaires de la vie courante, vous prenez pour juges des gens dont l'Eglise ne fait aucun cas!

KJV ⁵ I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

S21 ⁵ Je le dis à votre honte. Ainsi, il n'y a parmi vous pas un seul homme sage qui puisse juger entre ses frères et sœurs!

KJV ⁶ But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

S21 ⁶ Au contraire, un frère est en procès contre un frère, et cela devant des incroyants!

KJV ⁷ Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

S21 ⁷ C'est déjà pour vous un échec complet que d'avoir des procès les uns avec les autres. Pourquoi ne supportez-vous pas plutôt une injustice? Pourquoi ne vous laissez-vous pas plutôt dépouiller?

KJV ⁸ Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

S21 ⁸ Mais c'est vous au contraire qui commettez l'injustice et qui dépouillez les autres, et c'est envers des frères et sœurs que vous agissez ainsi!

KJV ⁹ Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

S21 ⁹ Ne savez-vous pas que les injustes n'hériteront pas du royaume de Dieu? Ne vous y trompez pas: ni ceux qui vivent dans l'immoralité sexuelle, ni les idolâtres, ni les adultères, ni les travestis, ni les homosexuels,

KJV ¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

S21 ¹⁰ ni les voleurs, ni les hommes toujours désireux de posséder plus, ni les ivrognes, ni les calomniateurs, ni les exploiteurs n'hériteront du royaume de Dieu.

KJV ¹¹ And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

S21 ¹¹ Et c'est là ce que vous étiez, certains d'entre vous. Mais vous avez été lavés, mais vous avez été déclarés saints, mais vous avez été déclarés justes au nom du Seigneur Jésus[-Christ] et par l'Esprit de notre Dieu.

KJV ¹² All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

S21 ¹² Tout m'est permis, mais tout n'est pas utile; tout m'est permis, mais je ne me laisserai pas dominer par quoi que ce soit.

KJV ¹³ Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

S21 ¹³ Les aliments sont pour le ventre et le ventre pour les aliments, et Dieu détruira l'un comme les autres. Mais le corps n'est pas pour l'immoralité sexuelle: il est pour le Seigneur, et le Seigneur est pour le corps.

KJV ¹⁴ And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

S21 ¹⁴ Or Dieu, qui a ressuscité le Seigneur, nous ressuscitera aussi par sa puissance.

KJV ¹⁵ Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

S21 ¹⁵ Ne savez-vous pas que vos corps sont les membres de Christ? Prendrai-je les membres de Christ pour en faire les membres d'une prostituée? Certainement pas!

KJV ¹⁶ What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

S21 ¹⁶ Ne savez-vous pas que celui qui s'unit à la prostituée est un seul corps avec elle? En effet, il est dit: Les deux ne feront qu'un. 

KJV ¹⁷ But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

S21 ¹⁷ Mais celui qui s'unit au Seigneur est un seul esprit avec lui.

KJV ¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

S21 ¹⁸ Fuyez l'immoralité sexuelle. Tout autre péché qu'un homme commet est extérieur à son corps, mais celui qui se livre à l'immoralité sexuelle pèche contre son propre corps.

KJV ¹⁹ What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

S21 ¹⁹ Ne le savez-vous pas? Votre corps est le temple du Saint-Esprit qui est en vous et que vous avez reçu de Dieu. Vous ne vous appartenez pas à vous-mêmes,

KJV ²⁰ For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

S21 ²⁰ car vous avez été rachetés à un grand prix. Rendez donc gloire à Dieu dans votre corps [et dans votre esprit qui appartiennent à Dieu].
