KJV ³ And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?

MAR ³ Le Roi d'Israël dit à ses serviteurs : Ne savez-vous pas bien que Ramoth de Galaad nous appartient, et nous ne nous mettons point en devoir pour la retirer d'entre les mains du Roi de Syrie ?

BCC ⁴ Et il dit à Josaphat : « viendras-tu avec moi attaquer Ramoth-en-Galaad ? » Josaphat répondit au roi d'Israël : « Il en sera de moi comme de toi, de mon peuple comme de ton peuple, de mes chevaux comme de tes chevaux. »

KJV ⁴ And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.

MAR ⁴ Puis il dit à Josaphat : Ne viendras-tu pas avec moi à la guerre contre Ramoth de Galaad ? Et Josaphat répondit au Roi d'Israël : Fais ton compte de moi comme de toi, et de mon peuple comme de ton peuple, et de mes chevaux comme de tes chevaux.

BCC ⁵ Josaphat dit alors au roi d'Israël : « Consulte maintenant, je te prie, la parole de Yahweh. »

KJV ⁵ And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

MAR ⁵ Josaphat dit encore au Roi d'Israël : Je te prie qu'aujourd'hui tu t'enquières de la parole de l'Eternel.

BCC ⁶ Le roi d'Israël assembla les prophètes, au nombre de quatre cents environ, et leur dit : « Irai-je attaquer Ramoth-en-Galaad, ou m'en abstiendrai-je ? » Ils répondirent : « Monte, et le Seigneur la livrera entre les mains du roi. »

KJV ⁶ Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

MAR ⁶ Et le Roi d'Israël assembla environ quatre cents Prophètes, auxquels il dit : Irai-je à la guerre contre Ramoth de Galaad, ou m'en éloigne-je ? Et ils répondirent : Monte, car le Seigneur la livrera entre les mains du Roi.

BCC ⁷ Mais Josaphat dit : « n'y a-t-il plus ici aucun prophète de Yahweh, par qui nous puissions l'interroger ? »

KJV ⁷ And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

MAR ⁷ Mais Josaphat dit : N'y a-t-il point ici encore quelque Prophète de l'Eternel, afin que nous l'interrogions ?

BCC ⁸ Le roi d'Israël répondit à Josaphat : « Il y a encore ici un homme par qui l'on pourrait consulter Yahweh ; mais je le hais, car il ne prophétise sur moi rien de bon, mais seulement du mal : c'est Michée, fils de Jemla. » Et Josaphat dit : « Que le roi ne parle pas ainsi ! »

KJV ⁸ And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

MAR ⁸ Et le Roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : Il y a encore un homme pour s'enquérir de l'Eternel par son moyen, mais je le hais, car il ne prophétise rien de bon, mais du mal, quand il est question de moi : c'est Michée fils de Jimla. Et Josaphat dit : Que le Roi ne parle point ainsi.

BCC ⁹ Alors le roi d'Israël, appelant un eunuque, lui dit : « Fais venir de suite Michée, fils de Jemla. »

KJV ⁹ Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah.

MAR ⁹ Alors le Roi d'Israël appela un Eunuque auquel il dit : Fais venir en diligence Michée fils de Jimla.

BCC ¹⁰ Le roi d'Israël et Josaphat roi de Juda, étaient assis chacun sur son trône, revêtus de leurs habits royaux, dans la place à l'entrée de la porte de Samarie ; et tous les prophètes prophétisaient devant eux.

KJV ¹⁰ And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

KJV ¹¹ And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.

MAR ¹¹ Et Tsidkija fils de Kénahana s'étant fait des cornes de fer, dit : Ainsi a dit l'Eternel : De ces cornes-ci tu heurteras les Syriens, jusqu'à les détruire.

KJV ¹² And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king's hand.

BCC ¹³ Le messager qui était allé appeler Michée lui parla en ces termes : « Voici que les paroles des prophètes sont unanimes pour annoncer du bien au roi ; que ta parole soit donc conforme à la parole de chacun d'eux : annonce du bien. »

KJV ¹³ And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.

KJV ¹⁴ And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.

BCC ¹⁵ Lorsqu'il fut arrivé près du roi, le roi lui dit : « Michée, irons-nous attaquer Ramoth-en-Galaad, ou nous en abstiendrons-nous ? » Il lui répondit : « Monte et sois vainqueur, car Yahweh la livrera entre les mains du roi. »

KJV ¹⁵ So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

MAR ¹⁵ Il vint donc vers le Roi, et le Roi lui dit : Michée, irons-nous à la guerre contre Ramoth de Galaad ; ou nous en désisterons-nous ? Et il lui répondit : Monte, tu réussiras ; et l'Eternel la livrera entre les mains du Roi.

BCC ¹⁶ Et le roi lui dit : « Jusqu'à combien de fois t'adjurerai-je de ne me dire que la vérité au nom de Yahweh ? »

KJV ¹⁶ And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD?

MAR ¹⁶ Et le Roi lui dit : Jusqu'à combien de fois te conjurerai-je, de ne me dire que la vérité au Nom de l'Eternel ?

BCC ¹⁷ Michée répondit : « Je vois tout Israël dispersé sur les montagnes, comme les brebis qui n'ont pas de berger ; et Yahweh a dit : Ces gens n'ont pas de maître ; qu'ils retournent en paix, chacun dans sa maison ! »

KJV ¹⁷ And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.

MAR ¹⁷ Et il répondit : J'ai vu tout Israël dispersé par les montagnes, comme un troupeau de brebis qui n'a point de pasteur ; et l'Eternel a dit : Ceux-ci sont sans Seigneurs ; que chacun s'en retourne dans sa maison en paix.

BCC ¹⁸ Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : « Ne te l'ai-je pas dit ? Il ne prophétise sur moi rien de bon, mais seulement du mal. »

KJV ¹⁸ And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?

MAR ¹⁸ Alors le Roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : Ne t'ai-je pas bien dit que quand il est question de moi il ne prophétise rien de bon, mais du mal ?

BCC ¹⁹ Et Michée dit : « Ecoute donc la parole de Yahweh : J'ai vu Yahweh assis sur son trône, et toute l'armée du ciel se tenait auprès de lui, à sa droite et à sa gauche.

KJV ¹⁹ And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

MAR ¹⁹ Et [Michée] lui dit : Ecoute néanmoins la parole de l'Eternel ; J'ai vu l'Eternel assis sur son trône, et toute l'armée des cieux se tenant devant lui, à sa droite et à sa gauche.

BCC ²⁰ Et Yahweh dit : Qui trompera Achab, pour qu'il monte à Ramoth-en-Galaad et qu'il y périsse ? Ils répondirent l'un d'une manière, l'autre d'une autre.

KJV ²⁰ And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.

MAR ²⁰ Et l'Eternel a dit : Qui est-ce qui induira Achab, afin qu'il monte et qu'il tombe en Ramoth de Galaad ? et l'un parlait d'une manière, et l'autre d'une autre.

BCC ²¹ Alors l'esprit vint se tenir devant Yahweh et dit : moi, je le tromperai. Yahweh lui dit : Comment ?

KJV ²¹ And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.

MAR ²¹ Alors un esprit s'avança, et se tint devant l'Eternel, et dit : Je l'induirai. Et l'Eternel lui dit : Comment ?

BCC ²² Il répondit : Je sortirai et je serai un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche des prophètes. Yahweh dit : Tu le tromperas et tu en viendras à bout ; sors, et fais ainsi.

KJV ²² And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persude him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

MAR ²² Et il répondit : Je sortirai, et je serai un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous ses Prophètes. Et [l'Eternel]dit : [Oui] tu l'induiras, et même tu en viendras à bout ; sors, et fais-le ainsi.

BCC ²³ Voici donc que Yahweh a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous tes prophètes qui sont là. Et Yahweh a prononcé du mal sur toi. »

KJV ²³ Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

MAR ²³ Maintenant donc voici, l'Eternel a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous ces tiens Prophètes, et l'Eternel a prononcé du mal contre toi.

BCC ²⁴ Mais Sédécias, fils de Chanaana, s'étant approché, frappa Michée sur la joue et dit : « Par où l'esprit de Yahweh est-il sorti de moi pour te parler ? »

KJV ²⁴ But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

MAR ²⁴ Alors Tsidkija fils de Kénahana s'approcha, et frappa Michée sur la joue, et dit : Par où l'Esprit de l'Eternel s'est-il retiré de moi pour s'adresser à toi ?

BCC ²⁵ Michée répondit : « Voici que tu le verras en ce jour-là où tu iras de chambre en chambre pour te cacher. »

KJV ²⁵ And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.

MAR ²⁵ Et Michée répondit : Voici, tu le verras le jour que tu iras de chambre en chambre pour te cacher.

BCC ²⁶ Le roi d'Israël dit : « Prends Michée, et amène-le à Amon, gouverneur de la ville, et à Joas, fils du roi.

KJV ²⁶ And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;

MAR ²⁶ Alors le Roi d'Israël dit : Qu'on prenne Michée, et qu'on le mène vers Amon, capitaine de la ville, et vers Joas le fils du Roi ;

BCC ²⁷ Tu leur diras : ainsi dit le roi : mettez cet homme en prison, et nourrissez-le du pain de l'affliction et de l'eau d'affliction, jusqu'à ce que je vienne en paix. »

KJV ²⁷ And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.

MAR ²⁷ Et qu'on leur dise : Ainsi a dit le Roi : Mettez cet homme en prison, et ne lui donnez qu'un peu de pain à manger, et un peu d eau [à boire], jusqu'à ce que je revienne en paix.

BCC ²⁸ Et Michée dit : « Si vraiment tu reviens en paix, Yahweh n'a point parlé par moi. » Il ajouta : « Entendez, vous tous, peuples. »

KJV ²⁸ And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.

MAR ²⁸ Et Michée répondit : Si jamais tu reviens en paix, l'Eternel n'aura point parlé par moi. Il dit aussi : Entendez cela peuples, vous tous qui êtes ici.

BCC ²⁹ Le roi d'Israël et Josaphat, roi de Juda, montèrent à Ramoth-en-Galaad.

KJV ²⁹ So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.

MAR ²⁹ Le Roi d'Israël donc monta avec Josaphat Roi de Juda contre Ramoth de Galaad.

BCC ³⁰ Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : « Je veux me déguiser pour aller au combat ; mais toi, revêts-toi de tes habits. » Et le roi d'Israël se déguisa et alla au combat.

KJV ³⁰ And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.

MAR ³⁰ Et le Roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : Que je me déguise, et que j'aille à la bataille ; mais toi, revêts-toi de tes habits. Le Roi d'Israël donc se déguisa, et alla à la bataille.

BCC ³¹ Le roi de Syrie avait donné un ordre aux trente-deux chefs de ses chars, en ces termes : « Vous n'attaquerez ni petit ni grand, mais seulement le roi d'Israël. »

KJV ³¹ But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.

MAR ³¹ Or le Roi des Syriens avait commandé aux trente-deux capitaines de ses chariots, en disant : Vous ne combattrez contre qui que ce soit petit ou grand, mais contre le seul Roi d'Israël.

BCC ³² Quand les chefs des chars virent Josaphat, ils dirent : « Sûrement, c'est le roi d'Israël ! » et ils se tournèrent contre lui pour l'attaquer. Josaphat poussa un cri.

KJV ³² And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.

MAR ³² Il arriva donc que dès que les capitaines des chariots eurent vu Josaphat, ils dirent : C'est certainement le Roi d'Israël ; et ils se détournèrent vers lui pour le combattre, mais Josaphat s'écria.

KJV ³³ And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.

MAR ³³ Et sitôt que les capitaines des chariots eurent vu que ce n'était pas le Roi d'Israël, ils se détournèrent de lui.

BCC ³⁴ Alors un homme tira de son arc au hasard et atteignit le roi d'Israël entre les jointures et la cuirasse. Le roi dit à celui qui conduisait son char : « Tourne, et fais-moi sortir du camp, car je suis blessé. »

KJV ³⁴ And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.

MAR ³⁴ Alors quelqu'un tira de son arc de toute sa force, et frappa le Roi d'Israël entre les tassettes et les harnais ; et le Roi dit à son cocher : Tourne ta main, et mène-moi hors du camp ; car on m'a fort blessé.

BCC ³⁵ Le combat devint violent, ce jour-là. Le roi était tenu debout sur son char en face des Syriens, et il mourut le soir ; le sang de la blessure coula dans l'intérieur du char.

KJV ³⁵ And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.

MAR ³⁵ Or la bataille fut très-grande en ce jour-là ; et le Roi [d'Israël] fut arrêté dans son chariot vis-à-vis des Syriens, et mourut sur le soir ; et le sang de sa plaie coulait sur le fond du chariot.

BCC ³⁶ Vers le coucher du soleil, ce cri courut dans le camp : « Chacun à sa ville et chacun à son pays ! »

KJV ³⁶ And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country.

MAR ³⁶ Et sitôt que le soleil fut couché, on fit crier par le camp, en disant : [que] chacun se retire en sa ville, et chacun en son pays.

BCC ³⁷ Ainsi mourut le roi. Il fut ramené à Samarie, et l'on enterra le roi à Samarie.

KJV ³⁷ So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.

KJV ³⁸ And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.

MAR ³⁸ Et on lava le chariot au vivier de Samarie, et les chiens léchèrent son sang, [et aussi quand] on lava ses armes, selon là parole que l'Eternel avait prononcée.

BCC ³⁹ Le reste des actes d'Achab, tout ce qu'il a fait, la maison d'ivoire qu'il a bâtie et toutes les villes qu'il a bâties, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël ?

KJV ³⁹ Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

MAR ³⁹ Le reste des faits d'Achab, tout ce, dis-je, qu'il a fait, et quant à la maison d'ivoire qu'il bâtit, et à toutes les villes qu'il bâtit, toutes ces choses ne sont-elles pas écrites au Livre des Chroniques des Rois d'Israël ?

BCC ⁴⁰ Achab se coucha avec ses pères ; et Ochozias, son fils, régna à sa place.

KJV ⁴⁰ So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

MAR ⁴⁰ Ainsi Achab s'endormit avec ses pères, et Achazia son fils régna en sa place.

BCC ⁴¹ Josaphat, fils d'Asa, devint roi de Juda la quatrième année d'Achab, roi d'Israël.

KJV ⁴¹ And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.

MAR ⁴¹ 0r Josaphat fils d'Asa avait commencé à régner sur Juda la quatrième année d'Achab, Roi d'Israël.

BCC ⁴² Josaphat avait trente-cinq ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna vingt-cinq ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère se nommait Azuba, fille de Salaï.

KJV ⁴² Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

KJV ⁴³ And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.

KJV ⁴⁴ And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.

KJV ⁴⁵ Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he shewed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

KJV ⁴⁷ There was then no king in Edom: a deputy was king.
