KJV ² And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.

OST ² Mais Jéhu, fils de Hanani, le Voyant, sortit au-devant du roi Josaphat, et lui dit: Est-ce le méchant qu'il faut aider? Sont-ce les ennemis de l'Éternel que tu aimes? A cause de cela, l'Éternel est irrité contre toi.

WLC ² וַיֵּצֵ֣א אֶל־ פָּנָ֗יו יֵה֣וּא בֶן־ חֲנָ֘נִי֮ הַחֹזֶה֒ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֔ט הֲלָרָשָׁ֣ע לַעְזֹ֔ר וּלְשֹׂנְאֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה תֶּאֱהָ֑ב וּבָזֹאת֙ עָלֶ֣יךָ קֶּ֔צֶף מִלִּפְנֵ֖י יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ³ Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.

OST ³ Mais il s'est trouvé de bonnes choses en toi, car tu as ôté du pays les emblèmes d'Ashéra, et tu as appliqué ton coeur à rechercher Dieu.

WLC ³ אֲבָ֕ל דְּבָרִ֥ים טוֹבִ֖ים נִמְצְא֣וּ עִמָּ֑ךְ כִּֽי־ בִעַ֤רְתָּ הָאֲשֵׁרוֹת֙ מִן־ הָאָ֔רֶץ וַהֲכִינ֥וֹתָ לְבָבְךָ֖ לִדְרֹ֥שׁ הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJV ⁴ And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beersheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD God of their fathers.

OST ⁴ Et Josaphat habita à Jérusalem. Puis, de nouveau, il sortit parmi le peuple, depuis Béer-Shéba jusqu'à la montagne d'Éphraïm, et il les ramena à l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères.

KJV ⁵ And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city,

OST ⁵ Il établit aussi des juges dans le pays, dans toutes les villes fortes de Juda, dans chaque ville.

WLC ⁵ וַיַּעֲמֵ֨ד שֹֽׁפְטִ֜ים בָּאָ֗רֶץ בְּכָל־ עָרֵ֧י יְהוּדָ֛ה הַבְּצֻר֖וֹת לְעִ֥יר וָעִֽיר׃

KJV ⁶ And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.

OST ⁶ Et il dit aux juges: Regardez à ce que vous ferez; car ce n'est pas pour l'homme que vous jugerez, mais pour l'Éternel, qui sera avec vous quand vous jugerez.

WLC ⁶ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־ הַשֹּֽׁפְטִ֗ים רְאוּ֙ מָֽה־ אַתֶּ֣ם עֹשִׂ֔ים כִּ֣י לֹ֧א לְאָדָ֛ם תִּשְׁפְּט֖וּ כִּ֣י לַיהוָ֑ה וְעִמָּכֶ֖ם בִּדְבַ֥ר מִשְׁפָּֽט׃

KJV ⁷ Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

OST ⁷ Maintenant, que la crainte de l'Éternel soit sur vous; prenez garde à ce que vous ferez; car il n'y a point d'iniquité dans l'Éternel notre Dieu, ni d'acception de personnes, ni d'acceptation de présents.

WLC ⁷ וְעַתָּ֕ה יְהִ֥י פַֽחַד־ יְהוָ֖ה עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם שִׁמְר֣וּ וַעֲשׂ֔וּ כִּֽי־ אֵ֞ין עִם־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ עַוְלָ֛ה וּמַשֹּׂ֥א פָנִ֖ים וּמִקַּח־ שֹֽׁחַד׃

KJV ⁸ Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.

OST ⁸ Josaphat établit aussi à Jérusalem des Lévites, et des sacrificateurs, et des chefs des pères d'Israël, pour le jugement de l'Éternel, et pour les contestations. Et on revint à Jérusalem.

WLC ⁸ וְגַ֣ם בִּ֠ירוּשָׁלִַם הֶעֱמִ֨יד יְהוֹשָׁפָ֜ט מִן־ הַלְוִיִּ֣ם וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים וּמֵרָאשֵׁ֤י הָאָבוֹת֙ לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְמִשְׁפַּ֥ט יְהוָ֖ה וְלָרִ֑יב וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

KJV ⁹ And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.

OST ⁹ Et il leur donna des ordres, en disant: Vous agirez ainsi dans la crainte de l'Éternel, avec fidélité et avec intégrité de coeur.

WLC ⁹ וַיְצַ֥ו עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּ֤ה תַעֲשׂוּן֙ בְּיִרְאַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה בֶּאֱמוּנָ֖ה וּבְלֵבָ֥ב שָׁלֵֽם׃

KJV ¹⁰ And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in your cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.

OST ¹⁰ Et pour les différends qui viendront devant vous, de la part de vos frères qui habitent dans leurs villes, qu'il s'agisse d'un meurtre, d'une loi, d'un commandement, de statuts ou d'ordonnances, vous les éclairerez, afin qu'ils ne se rendent pas coupables envers l'Éternel, et qu'il n'y ait point de courroux sur vous et sur vos frères. Vous agirez ainsi, et vous ne serez point trouvés coupables.

WLC ¹⁰ וְכָל־ רִיב֩ אֲשֶׁר־ יָב֨וֹא עֲלֵיכֶ֜ם מֵאֲחֵיכֶ֣ם ׀ הַיֹּשְׁבִ֣ים בְּעָרֵיהֶ֗ם בֵּֽין־ דָּ֣ם ׀ לְדָם֮ בֵּין־ תּוֹרָ֣ה לְמִצְוָה֮ לְחֻקִּ֣ים וּלְמִשְׁפָּטִים֒ וְהִזְהַרְתֶּ֣ם אֹתָ֔ם וְלֹ֤א יֶאְשְׁמוּ֙ לַיהוָ֔ה וְהָֽיָה־ קֶ֥צֶף עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם וְעַל־ אֲחֵיכֶ֑ם כֹּ֥ה תַעֲשׂ֖וּן וְלֹ֥א תֶאְשָֽׁמוּ׃

KJV ¹¹ And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king's matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.

OST ¹¹ Et voici, Amaria, le principal sacrificateur, est préposé sur vous pour toutes les affaires de l'Éternel, et Zébadia, fils d'Ismaël, prince de la maison de Juda, pour toutes les affaires du roi; et pour secrétaires vous avez devant vous les Lévites. Fortifiez-vous et agissez; et que l'Éternel soit avec l'homme de bien!

WLC ¹¹ וְהִנֵּ֡ה אֲמַרְיָ֣הוּ כֹהֵן֩ הָרֹ֨אשׁ עֲלֵיכֶ֜ם לְכֹ֣ל דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֗ה וּזְבַדְיָ֨הוּ בֶן־ יִשְׁמָעֵ֜אל הַנָּגִ֤יד לְבֵית־ יְהוּדָה֙ לְכֹ֣ל דְּבַר־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְשֹׁטְרִ֥ים הַלְוִיִּ֖ם לִפְנֵיכֶ֑ם חִזְק֣וּ וַעֲשׂ֔וּ וִיהִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה עִם־ הַטּֽוֹב׃
