BAN ² I1 avait seize ans quand il devint roi, et il régna cinquante-deux ans à Jérusalem. Et le nom de sa mère était Jécolia, de Jérusalem.

KJV ² Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

BAN ³ Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Eternel, entièrement comme avait fait Amatsia, son père.

KJV ³ And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

WLC ³ וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֖ה אֲמַצְיָ֥הוּ אָבִֽיו׃

BAN ⁴ Les hauts-lieux seuls ne furent pas ôtés : le peuple sacrifiait encore et faisait fumer l'encens sur les hauts-lieux.

KJV ⁴ Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

WLC ⁴ רַ֥ק הַבָּמ֖וֹת לֹא־ סָ֑רוּ ע֥וֹד הָעָ֛ם מְזַבְּחִ֥ים וּֽמְקַטְּרִ֖ים בַּבָּמֽוֹת׃

BAN ⁵ Et l'Eternel frappa le roi, et il fut lépreux jusqu'au jour de sa mort, et il demeurait dans la maladrerie ; et Jotham, fils du roi, avait la direction du palais, jugeant le peuple du pays.

KJV ⁵ And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

BAN ⁷ Et Azaria s'endormit avec ses pères, et on l'enterra avec ses pères, dans la cité de David ; et Jotham, son fils, régna à sa place.

KJV ⁷ So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

BAN ⁸ La trente-huitième année d'Azaria, roi de Juda, Zacharie, fils de Jéroboam, commença à régner sur Israël à Samarie ; il régna six mois.

KJV ⁸ In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.

BAN ⁹ Et il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Eternel, comme avaient fait ses pères ; il ne se détourna point des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nébat, qui avait fait pécher Israël.

KJV ⁹ And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

BAN ¹⁰ Et Sallum, fils de Jabès, fit une conjuration contre lui, et il le frappa en présence du peuple ; et il le fit mourir et il régna à sa place.

KJV ¹⁰ And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

BAN ¹² C'est là la parole de l'Eternel qu'il avait dite à Jéhu : Tu auras des fils jusqu'à la quatrième génération assis sur le trône d'Israël. Et il en fut ainsi.

KJV ¹² This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

KJV ¹³ Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

BAN ¹⁴ Et Ménahem, fils de Gadi, monta de Thirtsa et vint à Samarie, et il frappa Sallum, fils de Jabès, à Samarie, et il le fit mourir, et régna à sa place.

KJV ¹⁴ For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

BAN ¹⁶ Alors Ménahem frappa Thiphsach et tout ce qui y était et sa banlieue, depuis Thirtsa, parce qu'elle n'avait pas ouvert ses portes ; il la frappa, et il y éventra toutes ses femmes enceintes.

KJV ¹⁶ Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

KJV ¹⁷ In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

WLC ¹⁸ וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה לֹ֣א סָ֠ר מֵעַ֨ל חַטֹּ֜אות יָרָבְעָ֧ם בֶּן־ נְבָ֛ט אֲשֶׁר־ הֶחֱטִ֥יא אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כָּל־ יָמָֽיו׃

BAN ¹⁹ Phul, roi d'Assyrie, envahit le pays, et Ménahem donna à Phul mille talents d'argent pour qu'il lui prêtât main forte et qu'il affermit la royauté dans sa main.

KJV ¹⁹ And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

BAN ²⁰ Et Ménahem leva cet argent sur Israël, sur tous les riches, pour le donner au roi d'Assyrie, à raison de cinquante sicles d'argent par homme ; et le roi d'Assyrie s'en retourna et ne s'arrêta pas alors dans le pays.

KJV ²⁰ And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

KJV ²⁵ But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

KJV ²⁹ In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

KJV ³⁰ And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

WLC ³¹ וְיֶ֥תֶר דִּבְרֵי־ פֶ֖קַח וְכָל־ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־ סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

BAN ³² La deuxième année de Pékach, fils de Rémalia, roi d'Israël, Jotham, fils d'Ozias, roi de Juda, commença à régner.

KJV ³² In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

WLC ³² בִּשְׁנַ֣ת שְׁתַּ֔יִם לְפֶ֥קַח בֶּן־ רְמַלְיָ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מָלַ֛ךְ יוֹתָ֥ם בֶּן־ עֻזִיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃

BAN ³³ Il avait vingt-cinq ans lorsqu'il commença à régner, et il régna seize ans à Jérusalem ; et le nom de sa mère était Jéruscha, fille de Tsadok.

KJV ³³ Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

WLC ³³ בֶּן־ עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֤שׁ שָׁנָה֙ הָיָ֣ה בְמָלְכ֔וֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־ עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ יְרוּשָׁ֖א בַּת־ צָדֽוֹק׃

BAN ³⁴ Et il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Eternel ; il fit entièrement comme avait fait Ozias son père.

KJV ³⁴ And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

WLC ³⁴ וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כְּכֹ֧ל אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֛ה עֻזִיָּ֥הוּ אָבִ֖יו עָשָֽׂה׃

BAN ³⁵ Les hauts-lieux seuls ne furent pas ôtés ; le peuple sacrifiait encore et faisait fumer l'encens sur les hauts-lieux. C'est lui qui construisit la porte supérieure de la maison de l'Eternel.

KJV ³⁵ Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.

WLC ³⁵ רַ֤ק הַבָּמוֹת֙ לֹ֣א סָ֔רוּ ע֗וֹד הָעָ֛ם מְזַבְּחִ֥ים וּֽמְקַטְּרִ֖ים בַּבָּמ֑וֹת ה֗וּא בָּנָ֛ה אֶת־ שַׁ֥עַר בֵּית־ יְהוָ֖ה הָעֶלְיֽוֹן׃

BAN ³⁶ Et le reste de l'histoire de Jothàm et tout ce qu'il fit, ces choses ne sont-elles pas écrites dans le livre des Annales des rois de Juda ?

KJV ³⁶ Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

WLC ³⁶ וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י יוֹתָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֹא־ הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־ סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃

BAN ³⁷ Dans ces jours-là, l'Eternel commença à envoyer contre Juda Retsin, roi de Syrie, et Pékach, fils de Rémalia.

KJV ³⁷ In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

WLC ³⁷ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם הֵחֵ֣ל יְהוָ֗ה לְהַשְׁלִ֙יחַ֙ בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה רְצִ֖ין מֶ֣לֶךְ אֲרָ֑ם וְאֵ֖ת פֶּ֥קַח בֶּן־ רְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃

BAN ³⁸ Et Jotham s'endormit avec ses pères, et il fut enterré avec ses pères dans la cité de David, son père ; et Achaz, son fils, régna à sa place.

KJV ³⁸ And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

WLC ³⁸ וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב יוֹתָם֙ עִם־ אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקָּבֵר֙ עִם־ אֲבֹתָ֔יו בְּעִ֖יר דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֑יו וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָחָ֥ז בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
