KJV 2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

KJV 3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

KJV 4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

KJV 5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

KJV 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

KJV 10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

KJV 11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;

KJV 12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.

KJV 13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

KJV 14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

KJV 15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
TR1550 15 ὡς δὲ ἐβαπτίσθη καὶ ὁ οἶκος αὐτῆς παρεκάλεσεν λέγουσα εἰ κεκρίκατέ με πιστὴν τῷ κυρίῳ εἶναι εἰσελθόντες εἰς τὸν οἶκόν μου μείνατε καὶ παρεβιάσατο ἡμᾶς
KJV 16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
TR1550 16 ἐγένετο δὲ πορευομένων ἡμῶν εἰς προσευχὴν παιδίσκην τινὰ ἔχουσαν πνεῦμα πύθωνος ἀπαντῆσαι ἡμῖν ἥτις ἐργασίαν πολλὴν παρεῖχεν τοῖς κυρίοις αὐτῆς μαντευομένη
KJV 17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
TR1550 17 αὕτη κατακολουθήσασα τῷ παύλῳ καὶ ἡμῖν ἔκραζεν λέγουσα οὗτοι οἱ ἄνθρωποι δοῦλοι τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ὑψίστου εἰσίν οἵτινες καταγγέλλουσιν ἡμῖν, ὁδὸν σωτηρίας
KJV 18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
TR1550 18 τοῦτο δὲ ἐποίει ἐπὶ πολλὰς ἡμέρας διαπονηθεὶς δὲ ὁ παῦλος καὶ ἐπιστρέψας τῷ πνεύματι εἶπεν παραγγέλλω σοι ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ ἐξελθεῖν ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξῆλθεν αὐτῇ τῇ ὥρᾳ
KJV 19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
TR1550 19 ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ κύριοι αὐτῆς ὅτι ἐξῆλθεν ἡ ἐλπὶς τῆς ἐργασίας αὐτῶν ἐπιλαβόμενοι τὸν παῦλον καὶ τὸν σιλᾶν εἵλκυσαν εἰς τὴν ἀγορὰν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας
KJV 20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
TR1550 20 καὶ προσαγαγόντες αὐτοὺς τοῖς στρατηγοῖς εἶπον, οὗτοι οἱ ἄνθρωποι ἐκταράσσουσιν ἡμῶν τὴν πόλιν ἰουδαῖοι ὑπάρχοντες
KJV 21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
TR1550 21 καὶ καταγγέλλουσιν ἔθη ἃ οὐκ ἔξεστιν ἡμῖν παραδέχεσθαι οὐδὲ ποιεῖν ῥωμαίοις οὖσιν
KJV 22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
TR1550 22 καὶ συνεπέστη ὁ ὄχλος κατ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ στρατηγοὶ περιῤῥήξαντες αὐτῶν τὰ ἱμάτια ἐκέλευον ῥαβδίζειν
KJV 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
TR1550 23 πολλάς τε ἐπιθέντες αὐτοῖς πληγὰς ἔβαλον εἰς φυλακήν παραγγείλαντες τῷ δεσμοφύλακι ἀσφαλῶς τηρεῖν αὐτούς
KJV 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
TR1550 24 ὃς παραγγελίαν τοιαύτην εἰληφως ἔβαλεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν ἐσωτέραν φυλακὴν καὶ τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν ἠσφαλίσατο εἰς τὸ ξύλον
KJV 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
TR1550 25 κατὰ δὲ τὸ μεσονύκτιον παῦλος καὶ σιλᾶς προσευχόμενοι ὕμνουν τὸν θεόν ἐπηκροῶντο δὲ αὐτῶν οἱ δέσμιοι
KJV 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

KJV 27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
TR1550 27 ἔξυπνος δὲ γενόμενος ὁ δεσμοφύλαξ καὶ ἰδὼν ἀνεῳγμένας τὰς θύρας τῆς φυλακῆς σπασάμενος μάχαιραν ἔμελλεν ἑαυτὸν ἀναιρεῖν νομίζων ἐκπεφευγέναι τοὺς δεσμίους
KJV 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
TR1550 28 ἐφώνησεν δὲ φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ὁ παῦλος λέγων, μηδὲν πράξῃς σεαυτῷ κακόν ἅπαντες γάρ ἐσμεν ἐνθάδε
KJV 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
TR1550 29 αἰτήσας δὲ φῶτα εἰσεπήδησεν καὶ ἔντρομος γενόμενος προσέπεσεν τῷ παύλῳ καὶ τῷ σιλᾷ
KJV 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
TR1550 30 καὶ προαγαγὼν αὐτοὺς ἔξω ἔφη κύριοι τί με δεῖ ποιεῖν ἵνα σωθῶ
KJV 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
TR1550 31 οἱ δὲ εἶπον, πίστευσον ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἰησοῦν χριστὸν, καὶ σωθήσῃ σὺ καὶ ὁ οἶκός σου
KJV 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
TR1550 32 καὶ ἐλάλησαν αὐτῷ τὸν λόγον τοῦ κυρίου καὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ
KJV 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
TR1550 33 καὶ παραλαβὼν αὐτοὺς ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ὥρᾳ τῆς νυκτὸς ἔλουσεν ἀπὸ τῶν πληγῶν καὶ ἐβαπτίσθη αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ αὐτοῦ πάντες παραχρῆμα
KJV 34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
TR1550 34 ἀναγαγών τε αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὑτοῦ, παρέθηκεν τράπεζαν καὶ ἠγαλλιάσατο πανοικὶ πεπιστευκὼς τῷ θεῷ
KJV 35 And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.
TR1550 35 ἡμέρας δὲ γενομένης ἀπέστειλαν οἱ στρατηγοὶ τοὺς ῥαβδούχους λέγοντες ἀπόλυσον τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ἐκείνους
KJV 36 And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
TR1550 36 ἀπήγγειλεν δὲ ὁ δεσμοφύλαξ τοὺς λόγους τούτους πρὸς τὸν παῦλον ὅτι ἀπεστάλκασιν οἱ στρατηγοὶ ἵνα ἀπολυθῆτε νῦν οὖν ἐξελθόντες πορεύεσθε ἐν εἰρήνῃ
KJV 37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
TR1550 37 ὁ δὲ παῦλος ἔφη πρὸς αὐτούς δείραντες ἡμᾶς δημοσίᾳ ἀκατακρίτους ἀνθρώπους ῥωμαίους ὑπάρχοντας ἔβαλον εἰς φυλακήν καὶ νῦν λάθρᾳ ἡμᾶς ἐκβάλλουσιν οὐ γάρ ἀλλὰ ἐλθόντες αὐτοὶ ἡμᾶς ἐξαγαγέτωσαν
KJV 38 And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
TR1550 38 ἀνήγγειλάν δὲ τοῖς στρατηγοῖς οἱ ῥαβδοῦχοι τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν ἀκούσαντες ὅτι ῥωμαῖοί εἰσιν
KJV 39 And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

KJV 40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
