BAN ¹ Et à l'ange de l'Eglise qui est à Sardes, écris : Voici ce que dit Celui qui a les sept esprits de Dieu et les sept étoiles. Je connais oeuvres : tu as le renom de vivre, et tu es mort. et affermis le reste qui s'en allait mourir

BAN ² Sois vigilant, et affermis le reste qui s'en allait mourir ; car je n'ai point trouvé tes oeuvres parfaites devant mon Dieu.

BAN ⁴ Cependant tu as à Sardes un petit nombre de personnes qui n'ont point souillé leurs vêtements, et qui marcheront avec moi en vêtements blancs, parce qu'elles en sont dignes.

KJV ⁴ Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

BAN ⁵ Celui qui vaincra sera ainsi revêtu de vêtements blancs, et je n'effacerai point son nom du livre de la vie ; et je confesserai son nom devant mon Père et devant ses anges.

KJV ⁵ He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

KJV ⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

BAN ⁸ Je connais tes oeuvres ; voici, j'ai mis devant toi une porte ouverte, que personne ne peut fermer ; parce que tu as peu de force et que tu as gardé ma parole, et que tu n'as pas renié mon nom.

KJV ⁸ I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

BAN ¹⁶ Ainsi, parce que tu es tiède, et que tu n'es ni froid ni bouillant, je te vomirai de ma bouche.

KJV ¹⁶ So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

BAN ¹⁷ Parce que tu dis : Je suis riche, et je me suis enrichi, et je n'ai besoin de rien, et parce que tu ne sais pas que c'est toi le malheureux et misérable et pauvre et aveugle et nu ;
