BCC ¹ Et je vis l'Agneau qui ouvrit le premier des sept sceaux, et j'entendis l'un des quatre animaux qui disait comme d'une voix de tonnerre :

KJV ¹ And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

BCC ² " Viens ! " Et je vis paraître un cheval blanc. Celui qui le montait avait un arc ; on lui donna une couronne, et il partit en vainqueur et pour vaincre.

KJV ² And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

TR1550 ² καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδού ἵππος λευκός καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἔχων τόξον καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτῷ στέφανος καὶ ἐξῆλθεν νικῶν καὶ ἵνα νικήσῃ

BCC ³ Et quand il eut ouvert le deuxième sceau, j'entendis le second animal qui disait : " Viens ! "

KJV ³ And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

BCC ⁴ Et Il sortit un autre cheval qui était roux. Celui qui le montait reçut le pouvoir d'ôter la paix de la terre, afin que les hommes s'égorgeassent les uns les autres, et on lui donna une grande épée.

KJV ⁴ And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

TR1550 ⁴ καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἄλλος ἵππος πυῤῥός καὶ τῷ καθημένῳ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἐδόθη αὐτῷ λαβεῖν τὴν εἰρήνην ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἵνα ἀλλήλους σφάξωσιν καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτῷ μάχαιρα μεγάλη

BCC ⁵ Et quand il eut ouvert le troisième sceau, j'entendis le troisième animal qui disait : " Viens ! " Et je vis paraître un cheval noir. Celui qui le montait tenait à la main une balance ;

KJV ⁵ And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

TR1550 ⁵ καὶ ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν τρίτην σφραγῖδα ἤκουσα τοῦ τρίτου ζῴου λέγοντος ἕρχου καὶ βλέπε καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδού ἵππος μέλας καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἔχων ζυγὸν ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ

BCC ⁶ et j'entendis au milieu des quatre animaux comme une voix qui disait : " Une mesure de blé pour un denier ! Trois mesures d'orge pour un denier ! " Et : " Ne gâte pas l'huile et le vin ! "

KJV ⁶ And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

TR1550 ⁶ καὶ ἤκουσα φωνὴν ἐν μέσῳ τῶν τεσσάρων ζῴων λέγουσαν χοῖνιξ σίτου δηναρίου καὶ τρεῖς χοίνικες κριθῆς δηναρίου καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ τὸν οἶνον μὴ ἀδικήσῃς

BCC ⁷ Et quand il eut ouvert le quatrième sceau, j'entendis la voix du quatrième animal qui disait : " Viens ! "

KJV ⁷ And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

TR1550 ⁷ καὶ ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν σφραγῖδα τὴν τετάρτην ἤκουσα φωνὴν τοῦ τετάρτου ζῴου λέγουσαν ἕρχου καὶ βλέπε

BCC ⁸ Et je vis paraître un cheval de couleur pâle. Celui qui le montait se nommait la Mort, et l'Enfer le suivait. On leur donna pouvoir sur la quatrième partie de la terre, pour faire tuer par l'épée, par la famine, par la mortalité et par les bêtes féroces de la terre.

KJV ⁸ And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

TR1550 ⁸ καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδού ἵππος χλωρός καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ ὄνομα αὐτῷ ὁ θάνατος καὶ ὁ ᾅδης ἀκολούθει μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτοῖς ἐξουσία ἀποκτεῖναι ἐπὶ τὸ τέταρτον τῆς γῆς ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ ἐν λιμῷ καὶ ἐν θανάτῳ καὶ ὑπὸ τῶν θηρίων τῆς γῆς

BCC ⁹ Et quand il eut ouvert le cinquième sceau, je vis sous l'autel les âmes de ceux qui avaient été immolés pour la parole de Dieu et pour le témoignage qu'ils avaient eu à rendre.

KJV ⁹ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

TR1550 ⁹ καὶ ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν πέμπτην σφραγῖδα εἶδον ὑποκάτω τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τὰς ψυχὰς τῶν ἐσφαγμένων διὰ τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ διὰ τὴν μαρτυρίαν ἣν εἶχον

BCC ¹⁰ Et ils crièrent d'une voix forte, en disant : " jusques à quand, ô Maître Saint et Véritable, ne ferez-vous pas justice et ne redemandenez-vous pas notre sang à ceux qui habitent sur la terre ?

KJV ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

TR1550 ¹⁰ καὶ ἔκραζον φωνῇ μεγάλῃ λέγοντες ἕως πότε ὁ δεσπότης ὁ ἅγιος καὶ ὁ ἀληθινός οὐ κρίνεις καὶ ἐκδικεῖς τὸ αἷμα ἡμῶν ἀπὸ τῶν κατοικούντων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς

BCC ¹¹ "Alors un leur donna à chacun une robe blanche, et on leur dit de se tenir en repos encore un peu de temps, jusqu'à ce que fût complet le nombre de leurs compagnons de service et de leurs frères qui devaient être mis à mort comme eux.

KJV ¹¹ And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

TR1550 ¹¹ καὶ ἐδόθησαν ἑκάστοις στολαὶ λευκαὶ καὶ ἐῤῥέθη αὐτοῖς ἵνα ἀναπαύσωνται ἔτι χρόνον μικρόν ἕως οὗ πληρωσονται καὶ οἱ σύνδουλοι αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν οἱ μέλλοντες ἀποκτείνεσθαι ὡς καὶ αὐτοί

BCC ¹² Et je vis, quand il eut ouvert le sixième sceau, qu'il se fit un grand tremblement de terre, et le soleil devint noir comme un sac de crin, la lune entière parut comme du sang,

KJV ¹² And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

TR1550 ¹² καὶ εἶδον ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν σφραγῖδα τὴν ἕκτην καὶ ἰδού σεισμὸς μέγας ἐγένετο καὶ ὁ ἥλιος ἐγένετο μέλας ὡς σάκκος τρίχινος καὶ ἡ σελήνη ἐγένετο ὡς αἷμα

BCC ¹³ et les étoiles du ciel tombèrent vers la terre, comme les figues vertes tombent d'un figuier secoué par un gros vent.

KJV ¹³ And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

TR1550 ¹³ καὶ οἱ ἀστέρες τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἔπεσαν εἰς τὴν γῆν ὡς συκῆ βάλλει τοὺς ὀλύνθους αὐτῆς ὑπὸ μεγάλου ἀνέμου σειομένη

BCC ¹⁴ Et le ciel se retira comme un livre qu'on roule, et toutes les montagnes et les îles furent remuées de leur place.

KJV ¹⁴ And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

TR1550 ¹⁴ καὶ οὐρανὸς ἀπεχωρίσθη ὡς βιβλίον εἱλισσόμενον καὶ πᾶν ὄρος καὶ νῆσος ἐκ τῶν τόπων αὐτῶν ἐκινήθησαν

BCC ¹⁵ Et les rois de la terre, et les grands, et les généraux, et les riches, et les puissants, et tout esclave ou homme libre se cachèrent dans les cavernes et les rochers des montagnes,

KJV ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

TR1550 ¹⁵ καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς καὶ οἱ μεγιστᾶνες καὶ οἱ πλούσιοι καὶ οἱ χιλίαρχοι καὶ οἱ δυνατοὶ καὶ πᾶς δοῦλος καὶ πᾶς ἐλεύθερος ἔκρυψαν ἑαυτοὺς εἰς τὰ σπήλαια καὶ εἰς τὰς πέτρας τῶν ὀρέων

BCC ¹⁶ et ils disaient aux montagnes et aux rochers : "tombez sur nous et dérobez-nous à la face de Celui qui est assis sur le trône et à la colère de l'Agneau ;

KJV ¹⁶ And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

TR1550 ¹⁶ καὶ λέγουσιν τοῖς ὄρεσιν καὶ ταῖς πέτραις πέσετε ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς καὶ κρύψατε ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ καθημένου ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ὀργῆς τοῦ ἀρνίου

BCC ¹⁷ car il est venu le grand jour de sa colère, et qui peut subsister ?"

KJV ¹⁷ For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

TR1550 ¹⁷ ὅτι ἦλθεν ἡ ἡμέρα ἡ μεγάλη τῆς ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ τίς δύναται σταθῆναι
