KJV ² I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.

S21 ² Je te conduirais, je t'amènerais chez ma mère,
tu m'instruirais et je te ferais boire du vin parfumé,
du jus de mes grenades.

VULC ² Apprehendam te, et ducam in domum matris meæ :
ibi me docebis,
et dabo tibi poculum ex vino condito,
et mustum malorum granatorum meorum.

KJV ³ His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

KJV ⁵ Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.

S21 ⁵ Qui est celle qui monte du désert,
appuyée sur son bien-aimé?
Je t'ai réveillé sous le pommier.
C'est là que ta mère est tombée enceinte de toi,
c'est là qu'elle est tombée enceinte et t'a donné le jour.

VULC ⁵ Quæ est ista quæ ascendit de deserto, deliciis affluens,
innixa super dilectum suum ?
Sub arbore malo suscitavi te ;
ibi corrupta est mater tua,
ibi violata est genitrix tua.

KJV ⁶ Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

S21 ⁶ Fais de moi comme une empreinte sur ton cœur,
comme une empreinte sur ton bras,
car l'amour est aussi fort que la mort,
la passion est aussi inflexible que le séjour des morts.
Ses ardeurs sont des ardeurs de feu,
une flamme de l'Eternel.

ut signaculum super brachium tuum,
quia fortis est ut mors dilectio,

KJV ⁷ Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

ni les fleuves le submerger.
Même si un homme offrait tous les biens de sa maison contre l'amour,
il ne s'attirerait que le mépris.

KJV ⁹ If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

nous construirons sur elle des créneaux en argent;
si elle est une porte,
nous la fermerons avec une planche de cèdre.

KJV ¹² My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.

A toi, Salomon, les 1000 pièces,
et 200 à ceux qui gardent son fruit!

WLC ¹³ הַיוֹשֶׁ֣בֶת בַּגַּנִּ֗ים חֲבֵרִ֛ים מַקְשִׁיבִ֥ים לְקוֹלֵ֖ךְ הַשְׁמִיעִֽינִי׃

KJV ¹⁴ Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.

Montre-toi pareil à la gazelle ou au jeune cerf
sur les montagnes aux aromates!
