BAN ¹ Car je veux que vous sachiez combien est grand le combat que je soutiens pour vous, et pour ceux qui sont à Laodicée, et pour tous ceux qui n'ont pas vu mon visage en la chair ;

KJV ¹ For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

BAN ² afin que leurs coeurs soient consolés, étant étroitement unis ensemble dans la charité, et qu'ils possèdent toute la richesse d'une pleine certitude d'intelligence, pour connaître le mystère de Dieu,

KJV ² That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

BAN ³ dans lequel sont cachés tous les trésors de la sagesse et de la science.

KJV ³ In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

BAN ⁴ Or je dis ceci, afin que personne ne vous abuse par des discours séduisants.

KJV ⁴ And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

BAN ⁵ Car, bien que je sois absent de corps, je suis pourtant avec vous en esprit, me réjouissant de voir votre ordre et la fermeté de votre foi en Christ.

KJV ⁵ For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

BAN ⁶ Comme donc vous avez reçu le Christ Jésus, le Seigneur, marchez en lui ;

KJV ⁶ As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

BAN ⁷ étant enracinés et fondés en lui, et affermis par la foi, selon que vous avez été enseignés, abondant en lui, avec actions de grâces.

KJV ⁷ Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

BAN ⁸ Prenez garde que personne ne vous séduise par la philosophie et par une vaine tromperie, selon la tradition des hommes, selon les éléments du monde, et non selon Christ.

KJV ⁸ Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

BAN ⁹ Car en lui habite corporellement toute la plénitude de la divinité.

KJV ⁹ For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

BAN ¹⁰ Et vous avez tout pleinement en lui, qui est le Chef de toute principauté et de toute autorité ;

KJV ¹⁰ And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

BAN ¹¹ en qui aussi vous avez été circoncis d'une circoncision que la main n'a pas faite, par le dépouillement du corps de la chair, par la circoncision de Christ ;

KJV ¹¹ In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

BAN ¹² ayant été ensevelis avec lui par le baptême, dans lequel aussi vous êtes ressuscités avec lui, par la foi de l'efficace de Dieu, qui l'a ressuscité des morts.

KJV ¹² Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

BAN ¹³ Et vous, lorsque vous étiez morts dans vos offenses dans l'incirconcision de votre chair, il vous a vivifiés avec lui, nous ayant pardonné toutes les offenses,

KJV ¹³ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

KJV ¹⁴ Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

BAN ¹⁶ Que personne donc ne vous juge au sujet du manger ou du boire, ou à propos d'une fête, ou d'une nouvelle lune, ou des sabbats,

KJV ¹⁶ Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

BAN ¹⁷ choses qui ne sont que l'ombre de celles qui devaient venir, mais le corps en est en Christ.

KJV ¹⁷ Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

BAN ¹⁸ Que personne ne vous enlève à son gré le prix de la course, sous prétexte d'humilité, et par un culte des anges, pénétrant dans des choses qu'il n'a point vues, étant follement enflé par ses pensées charnelles ;

KJV ¹⁸ Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

BAN ¹⁹ et ne retenant pas le Chef, duquel tout le corps, bien pourvu et bien uni, tire, au moyen des jointures et ligaments, un accroissement de Dieu.

KJV ¹⁹ And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

BAN ²⁰ Si vous êtes morts avec Christ, par rapport aux éléments du monde, pourquoi vous impose-t-on ces préceptes, comme si vous viviez encore au monde :

KJV ²⁰ Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

BAN ²¹ Ne mange point, ne goûte point, ne touche point ?

KJV ²¹ (Touch not; taste not; handle not;

BAN ²² préceptes qui deviennent tous pernicieux par l'usage qu'on en fait selon les ordonnances et les doctrines des hommes ;

KJV ²² Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

BAN ²³ lesquelles ont, à la vérité, une apparence de sagesse, par un culte volontaire et par humilité, et en ce qu'elles ne ménagent point le corps n'ayant aucun égard à ce qui peut satisfaire la chair.

KJV ²³ Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
