KJV ⁷ But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

DRB ¹⁵ alors le père de la jeune femme, et sa mère, prendront les signes de la virginité de la jeune femme et les produiront devant les anciens de la ville, à la porte ;

KJV ¹⁵ Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

WLC ¹⁶ וְאָמַ֛ר אֲבִ֥י אֶל־ הַזְּקֵנִ֑ים אֶת־ בִּתִּ֗י נָתַ֜תִּי לָאִ֥ישׁ הַזֶּ֛ה לְאִשָּׁ֖ה וַיִּשְׂנָאֶֽהָ׃

DRB ¹⁷ et voici, il lui impute des actes qui donnent occasion de parler, disant : Je n'ai pas trouvé ta fille vierge ; et voici les signes de la virginité de ma fille. Et ils déploieront le drap devant les anciens de la ville.

KJV ¹⁷ And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

DRB ¹⁸ Et les anciens de cette ville prendront l'homme et le châtieront.

KJV ¹⁸ And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;

WLC ¹⁸ וְלָֽקְח֛וּ זִקְנֵ֥י הָֽעִיר־ הַהִ֖וא אֶת־ הָאִ֑ישׁ וְיִסְּר֖וּ אֹתֽוֹ׃

DRB ¹⁹ Et parce qu'il aura fait courir un mauvais bruit sur une vierge d'Israël, ils lui feront payer une amende de cent pièces d'argent, et ils les donneront au père de la jeune femme ; et elle restera* sa femme, et il ne pourra pas la renvoyer, tous ses jours.

KJV ¹⁹ And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

DRB ²⁰ - Mais si cette chose est vraie, si les signes de la virginité n'ont pas été trouvés chez la jeune femme,

KJV ²⁰ But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

WLC ²⁰ וְאִם־ אֱמֶ֣ת הָיָ֔ה הַדָּבָ֖ר הַזֶּ֑ה לֹא־ נִמְצְא֥וּ בְתוּלִ֖ים

DRB ²¹ alors ils feront sortir la jeune femme à l'entrée de la maison de son père, et les hommes de sa ville l'assommeront de pierres, et elle mourra ; car elle a commis une infamie en Israël, en se prostituant dans la maison de son père ; et tu ôteras le mal du milieu de toi.

KJV ²¹ Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

WLC ²¹ וְהוֹצִ֨יאוּ אֶת־ אֶל־ פֶּ֣תַח בֵּית־ אָבִ֗יהָ וּסְקָלוּהָ֩ אַנְשֵׁ֨י עִירָ֤הּ בָּאֲבָנִים֙ וָמֵ֔תָה כִּֽי־ עָשְׂתָ֤ה נְבָלָה֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לִזְנ֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֑יהָ וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃

DRB ²² Si un homme a été trouvé couché avec une femme mariée, ils mourront tous deux, l'homme qui a couché avec la femme, et la femme ; et tu ôteras le mal [du milieu] d'Israël.

KJV ²² If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

DRB ²³ - Si une jeune fille vierge est fiancée à un homme, et qu'un homme la trouve dans la ville et couche avec elle,

KJV ²³ If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;

WLC ²³ כִּ֤י יִהְיֶה֙ בְתוּלָ֔ה מְאֹרָשָׂ֖ה לְאִ֑ישׁ וּמְצָאָ֥הּ אִ֛ישׁ בָּעִ֖יר וְשָׁכַ֥ב עִמָּֽהּ׃

DRB ²⁴ vous les ferez sortir tous les deux à la porte de cette ville, et vous les assommerez de pierres, et ils mourront : la jeune fille, parce que, étant dans la ville, elle n'a pas crié, et l'homme, parce qu'il a humilié la femme de son prochain ; et tu ôteras le mal du milieu de toi.

KJV ²⁴ Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

DRB ²⁵ Et si c'est dans les champs, que l'homme a trouvé la jeune fille fiancée, et que, lui faisant violence, il* couche avec elle, alors l'homme qui aura couché avec elle mourra, lui seul ;

KJV ²⁵ But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.

KJV ²⁶ But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

DRB ²⁷ car il l'a trouvée dans les champs, la jeune fille fiancée a crié, et il n'y a eu personne pour la sauver.

KJV ²⁷ For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

DRB ²⁹ l'homme qui aura couché avec elle donnera au père de la jeune fille cinquante pièces d'argent, et elle sera sa femme, puisqu'il l'a humiliée ; il ne pourra pas la renvoyer, tous ses jours.

KJV ²⁹ Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

WLC ²⁹ וְ֠נָתַן הָאִ֨ישׁ הַשֹּׁכֵ֥ב עִמָּ֛הּ לַאֲבִ֥י חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים כָּ֑סֶף וְלֽוֹ־ תִהְיֶ֣ה לְאִשָּׁ֗ה תַּ֚חַת אֲשֶׁ֣ר עִנָּ֔הּ לֹא־ יוּכַ֥ל שַׁלְּחָ֖ה כָּל־ יָמָֽיו׃

DRB ³⁰ Un homme ne prendra pas la femme de son père, et ne relèvera pas le pan du vêtement de son père.

KJV ³⁰ A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
