BCC ¹ Quand il s'élèvera une contestation entre des hommes, et qu'ils se seront présentés au jugement, qu'on les aura jugés, qu'on aura absous l'innocent et condamné le coupable,

KJV ¹ If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

BCC ² si le coupable a mérité d'être battu, le juge le fera étendre par terre et battre en sa présence d'un nombre de coups proportionné à sa faute.

KJV ² And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

BCC ⁶ Le premier-né qu'elle mettra au monde succédera au frère défunt et prendra son nom, afin que ce nom ne soit pas effacé d'Israël.
