DRB ²² Femmes, soyez soumises à vos propres maris comme au Seigneur ;

KJV ²² Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

DRB ²³ parce que le mari* est le chef** de la femme, comme aussi le Christ est le chef** de l'assemblée, lui, le sauveur du corps.

KJV ²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

DRB ²⁴ Mais comme l'assemblée est soumise au Christ, ainsi que les femmes le soient aussi à leurs maris en toutes choses.

KJV ²⁴ Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

DRB ²⁵ Maris, aimez vos propres femmes, comme aussi le Christ a aimé l'assemblée et s'est livré lui-même pour elle,

KJV ²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

DRB ²⁶ afin qu'il la sanctifiât, en la purifiant par le lavage d'eau par [la] parole ;

KJV ²⁶ That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

DRB ²⁷ afin que lui se présentât l'assemblée à lui-même, glorieuse, n'ayant ni tache, ni ride, ni rien de semblable, mais afin qu'elle fût sainte et irréprochable.

KJV ²⁷ That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

DRB ²⁸ De même aussi, les maris doivent aimer leurs propres femmes comme leurs propres corps ; celui qui aime sa propre femme s'aime lui-même.

KJV ²⁸ So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

DRB ²⁹ Car personne n'a jamais haï sa propre chair, mais il la nourrit et la chérit, comme aussi le Christ l'assemblée :

KJV ²⁹ For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

DRB ³⁰ car nous sommes membres de son corps, - de sa chair et de ses os.

KJV ³⁰ For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

DRB ³¹ «C'est pour cela que l'homme laissera son père et sa mère et sera joint à sa femme ; et les deux seront* une seule chair» {Genèse 2:24}.

KJV ³¹ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

DRB ³² Ce mystère est grand ; mais moi je parle relativement à Christ et à l'assemblée.

KJV ³² This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

DRB ³³ Toutefois, que chacun de vous aussi en particulier aime sa propre femme comme lui-même ; et quant à la femme, qu'elle craigne son mari.

KJV ³³ Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

DRB ¹ Enfants, obéissez à vos parents dans le Seigneur, car cela est juste.

KJV ¹ Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

DRB ² «Honore ton père et ta mère», (c'est le premier commandement avec promesse,)

KJV ² Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

DRB ³ «afin que tu prospères et que tu vives longtemps sur la terre» {Exode 20:12 ; Deutéronome 5:16}.

KJV ³ That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

DRB ⁴ Et vous, pères, ne provoquez pas vos enfants, mais élevez-les dans la discipline et sous les avertissements du Seigneur.

KJV ⁴ And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
