KJV ²² Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

S21 ²² Femmes, [soumettez-vous] à votre mari comme au Seigneur,

KJV ²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

S21 ²³ car le mari est le chef de la femme, comme Christ est le chef de l'Eglise qui est son corps et dont il est le Sauveur.

KJV ²⁴ Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

S21 ²⁴ Mais tout comme l'Eglise se soumet à Christ, que les femmes aussi se soumettent en tout à leur mari.

KJV ²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

S21 ²⁵ Maris, aimez votre femme comme Christ a aimé l'Eglise. Il s'est donné lui-même pour elle

KJV ²⁶ That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

S21 ²⁶ afin de la conduire à la sainteté après l'avoir purifiée et lavée par l'eau de la parole,

KJV ²⁷ That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

S21 ²⁷ pour faire paraître devant lui cette Eglise glorieuse, sans tache, ni ride, ni rien de semblable, mais sainte et irréprochable.

KJV ²⁸ So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

S21 ²⁸ C'est ainsi que les maris doivent aimer leur femme comme leur propre corps. Celui qui aime sa femme s'aime lui-même.

KJV ²⁹ For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

S21 ²⁹ En effet, jamais personne n'a détesté son propre corps. Au contraire, il le nourrit et en prend soin, tout comme le Seigneur le fait pour l'Eglise

KJV ³⁰ For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

S21 ³⁰ parce que nous sommes les membres de son corps, [formés de sa chair et de ses os].

KJV ³¹ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

S21 ³¹ C'est pourquoi l'homme quittera son père et sa mère, s'attachera à sa femme, et les deux ne feront qu'un. 

KJV ³² This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

S21 ³² Ce mystère est grand, et je dis cela par rapport à Christ et à l'Eglise.

KJV ³³ Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

S21 ³³ Du reste, que chacun de vous aime sa femme comme lui-même et que la femme respecte son mari.

KJV ¹ Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

S21 ¹ Enfants, obéissez à vos parents, [dans le Seigneur,] car cela est juste.

KJV ² Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

S21 ² Honore ton père et ta mère – c'est le premier commandement accompagné d'une promesse –

KJV ³ That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

S21 ³ afin que tu sois heureux et que tu vives longtemps sur la terre.

KJV ⁴ And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

S21 ⁴ Quant à vous, pères, n'irritez pas vos enfants mais élevez-les en leur donnant une éducation et des avertissements qui viennent du Seigneur.
