KJV ² Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

NEG ² Sur une montagne nue dressez une bannière, Elevez la voix vers eux, Faites des signes avec la main, Et qu'ils franchissent les portes des tyrans!

WLC ² עַ֤ל הַר־ נִשְׁפֶּה֙ שְֽׂאוּ־ נֵ֔ס הָרִ֥ימוּ ק֖וֹל לָהֶ֑ם הָנִ֣יפוּ יָ֔ד וְיָבֹ֖אוּ פִּתְחֵ֥י נְדִיבִֽים׃

KJV ³ I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

NEG ³ J'ai donné des ordres à ma sainte armée, J'ai appelé les héros de ma colère, Ceux qui se réjouissent de ma grandeur.

WLC ³ אֲנִ֥י צִוֵּ֖יתִי לִמְקֻדָּשָׁ֑י גַּ֣ם קָרָ֤אתִי גִבּוֹרַי֙ לְאַפִּ֔י עַלִּיזֵ֖י גַּאֲוָתִֽי׃

KJV ⁴ The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

NEG ⁴ On entend une rumeur sur les montagnes, Comme celle d'un peuple nombreux; On entend un tumulte de royaumes, de nations rassemblées: L'Eternel des armées passe en revue l'armée qui va combattre.

WLC ⁴ ק֥וֹל הָמ֛וֹן בֶּֽהָרִ֖ים דְּמ֣וּת עַם־ רָ֑ב ק֠וֹל שְׁא֞וֹן מַמְלְכ֤וֹת גּוֹיִם֙ נֶֽאֱסָפִ֔ים יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת מְפַקֵּ֖ד צְבָ֥א מִלְחָמָֽה׃

KJV ⁵ They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

NEG ⁵ Ils viennent d'un pays lointain, De l'extrémité des cieux: L'Eternel et les instruments de sa colère Vont détruire toute la contrée.

WLC ⁵ בָּאִ֛ים מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מֶרְחָ֖ק מִקְצֵ֣ה הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם יְהוָה֙ וּכְלֵ֣י זַעְמ֔וֹ לְחַבֵּ֖ל כָּל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJV ⁶ Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

NEG ⁶ Gémissez, car le jour de l'Eternel est proche: Il vient comme un ravage du Tout-Puissant.

WLC ⁶ הֵילִ֕ילוּ כִּ֥י קָר֖וֹב י֣וֹם יְהוָ֑ה כְּשֹׁ֖ד מִשַּׁדַּ֥י יָבֽוֹא׃

KJV ⁷ Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

NEG ⁷ C'est pourquoi toutes les mains s'affaiblissent, Et tout cœur d'homme est abattu.

WLC ⁷ עַל־ כֵּ֖ן כָּל־ יָדַ֣יִם תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה וְכָל־ לְבַ֥ב אֱנ֖וֹשׁ יִמָּס׃

KJV ⁸ And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

NEG ⁸ Ils sont frappés d'épouvante; Les spasmes et les douleurs les saisissent; Ils se tordent comme une femme en travail; Ils se regardent les uns les autres avec stupeur; Leurs visages sont enflammés.

WLC ⁸ וְֽנִבְהָ֓לוּ ׀ צִירִ֤ים וַֽחֲבָלִים֙ יֹֽאחֵז֔וּן כַּיּוֹלֵדָ֖ה יְחִיל֑וּן אִ֤ישׁ אֶל־ רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ יִתְמָ֔הוּ פְּנֵ֥י לְהָבִ֖ים פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃

KJV ⁹ Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

NEG ⁹ Voici, le jour de l'Eternel arrive, Jour cruel, jour de colère et d'ardente fureur, Qui réduira la terre en solitude, Et en exterminera les pécheurs.

KJV ¹⁰ For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

NEG ¹⁰ Car les étoiles des cieux et leurs astres Ne feront plus briller leur lumière, Le soleil s'obscurcira dès son lever, Et la lune ne fera plus luire sa clarté.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּֽי־ כוֹכְבֵ֤י הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ וּכְסִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔ם לֹ֥א יָהֵ֖לּוּ אוֹרָ֑ם חָשַׁ֤ךְ הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ בְּצֵאת֔וֹ וְיָרֵ֖חַ לֹֽא־ יַגִּ֥יהַ אוֹרֽוֹ׃

KJV ¹¹ And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

KJV ¹² I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

KJV ¹³ Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

KJV ¹⁴ And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

KJV ¹⁵ Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

KJV ¹⁷ Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

KJV ¹⁸ Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.

NEG ¹⁸ De leurs arcs ils abattront les jeunes gens, Et ils seront sans pitié pour le fruit des entrailles; Leur œil n'épargnera point les enfants.

WLC ¹⁸ וּקְשָׁת֖וֹת נְעָרִ֣ים תְּרַטַּ֑שְׁנָה וּפְרִי־ בֶ֙טֶן֙ לֹ֣א יְרַחֵ֔מוּ עַל־ בָּנִ֖ים לֹֽא־ תָח֥וּס עֵינָֽם׃

KJV ¹⁹ And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

NEG ¹⁹ Et Babylone, l'ornement des royaumes, La fière parure des Chaldéens, Sera comme Sodome et Gomorrhe, que Dieu détruisit.

KJV ²⁰ It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

NEG ²⁰ Elle ne sera plus jamais habitée, Elle ne sera plus jamais peuplée; L'Arabe n'y dressera point sa tente, Et les bergers n'y parqueront point leurs troupeaux.

WLC ²⁰ לֹֽא־ תֵשֵׁ֣ב לָנֶ֔צַח וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁכֹּ֖ן עַד־ דּ֣וֹר וָד֑וֹר וְלֹֽא־ יַהֵ֥ל שָׁם֙ עֲרָבִ֔י וְרֹעִ֖ים לֹא־ יַרְבִּ֥צוּ שָֽׁם׃

KJV ²¹ But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

NEG ²¹ Les animaux du désert y prendront leur gîte, Les hiboux rempliront ses maisons, Les autruches en feront leur demeure Et les boucs y sauteront.

WLC ²¹ וְרָבְצוּ־ שָׁ֣ם צִיִּ֔ים וּמָלְא֥וּ בָתֵּיהֶ֖ם אֹחִ֑ים וְשָׁ֤כְנוּ שָׁם֙ בְּנ֣וֹת יַֽעֲנָ֔ה וּשְׂעִירִ֖ים יְרַקְּדוּ־ שָֽׁם׃

KJV ²² And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

NEG ²² Les chacals hurleront dans ses palais, Et les chiens sauvages dans ses maisons de plaisance. Son temps est près d'arriver, Et ses jours ne se prolongeront pas.

WLC ²² וְעָנָ֤ה אִיִּים֙ בְּאַלְמנוֹתָ֔יו וְתַנִּ֖ים בְּהֵ֣יכְלֵי עֹ֑נֶג וְקָר֤וֹב לָבוֹא֙ עִתָּ֔הּ וְיָמֶ֖יהָ לֹ֥א יִמָּשֵֽׁכוּ׃
