DRB ¹ L'oracle touchant Damas. Voici, Damas va cesser d'être une ville, et elle sera un monceau de ruines.

KJV ¹ The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

DRB ² Les villes d'Aroër sont abandonnées, elles seront pour les troupeaux ; ils y coucheront, et il n'y aura personne qui les effraye.

KJV ² The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

DRB ³ Et la forteresse a cessé en Éphraïm, et le royaume à Damas ; et ce qui reste de la Syrie sera comme la gloire des fils d'Israël, dit l'Éternel des armées.

KJV ³ The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

DRB ⁴ Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, que la gloire de Jacob sera affaiblie, et que la graisse de sa chair sera amaigrie.

KJV ⁷ At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

DRB ⁹ En ce jour-là ses villes fortifiées seront comme les lieux délaissés d'un bois épais et d'un sommet, qui ont été délaissés devant les fils d'Israël ; et ce sera une désolation.

KJV ⁹ In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
