BAN ¹ Sentence de Tyr.
Hurlez, navires de Tarsis ; car elle est détruite ! Plus de maisons, on n'y entre plus ! C'est du pays de Kittim qu'ils en reçoivent la nouvelle.

KJV ¹ The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.

WLC ¹ מַשָּׂ֖א צֹ֑ר הֵילִ֣ילוּ ׀ אֳנִיּ֣וֹת תַּרְשִׁ֗ישׁ כִּֽי־ שֻׁדַּ֤ד מִבַּ֙יִת֙ מִבּ֔וֹא מֵאֶ֥רֶץ כִּתִּ֖ים נִגְלָה־ לָֽמוֹ׃

BAN ² Soyez muets, habitants de l'île, que remplissaient les marchands de Sidon, parcourant la mer.

KJV ² Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.

WLC ² דֹּ֖מּוּ יֹ֣שְׁבֵי אִ֑י סֹחֵ֥ר צִיד֛וֹן עֹבֵ֥ר יָ֖ם מִלְאֽוּךְ׃

BAN ³ A travers les grandes eaux, le blé du Nil, les moissons du fleuve étaient son revenu ; elle était le marché des nations.

KJV ³ And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a mart of nations.

WLC ³ וּבְמַ֤יִם רַבִּים֙ זֶ֣רַע שִׁחֹ֔ר קְצִ֥יר יְא֖וֹר תְּבֽוּאָתָ֑הּ וַתְּהִ֖י סְחַ֥ר גּוֹיִֽם׃

BAN ⁴ Sois confuse, Sidon ; car la mer, la citadelle de la mer a parlé disant : Je n'ai point été en travail, je n'ai point enfanté ; je n'ai point nourri de jeunes hommes, je n'ai point élevé de vierges !

KJV ⁴ Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.

WLC ⁴ בּ֣וֹשִׁי צִיד֔וֹן כִּֽי־ אָמַ֣ר יָ֔ם מָע֥וֹז הַיָּ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹֽא־ חַ֣לְתִּי וְלֹֽא־ יָלַ֗דְתִּי וְלֹ֥א גִדַּ֛לְתִּי בַּחוּרִ֖ים רוֹמַ֥מְתִּי בְתוּלֽוֹת׃

BAN ⁵ Quand l'Fgypte en apprendra la nouvelle, elle tremblera, quand elle apprendra la nouvelle de Tyr.

KJV ⁵ As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.

WLC ⁵ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־ שֵׁ֖מַע לְמִצְרָ֑יִם יָחִ֖ילוּ כְּשֵׁ֥מַע צֹֽר׃

BAN ⁶ Passez à Tarsis, poussez des hurlements, habitants de l'île !

KJV ⁶ Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.

WLC ⁶ עִבְר֖וּ תַּרְשִׁ֑ישָׁה הֵילִ֖ילוּ יֹ֥שְׁבֵי אִֽי׃

BAN ⁷ Est-ce là le sort de votre cité joyeuse, dont l'origine remontait aux jours anciens et que ses pieds portaient au loin pour y habiter ?

KJV ⁷ Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.

WLC ⁷ הֲזֹ֥את לָכֶ֖ם עַלִּיזָ֑ה מִֽימֵי־ קֶ֤דֶם קַדְמָתָהּ֙ יֹבִל֣וּהָ רַגְלֶ֔יהָ מֵֽרָח֖וֹק לָגֽוּר׃

BAN ⁸ Qui a décrété cela contre Tyr, elle qui donnait des couronnes, elle dont les marchands étaient des princes, et les trafiquants des grands de la terre ?

KJV ⁸ Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the earth?

WLC ⁸ מִ֚י יָעַ֣ץ זֹ֔את עַל־ צֹ֖ר הַמַּֽעֲטִירָ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר סֹחֲרֶ֙יה֙ שָׂרִ֔ים כִּנְעָנֶ֖יהָ נִכְבַּדֵּי־ אָֽרֶץ׃

BAN ⁹ C'est l'Eternel des armées qui l'a décrété, pour flétrir l'orgueil de tout ce qui brille, pour humilier tous les grands de la terre.

KJV ⁹ The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.

WLC ⁹ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת יְעָצָ֑הּ לְחַלֵּל֙ גְּא֣וֹן כָּל־ צְבִ֔י לְהָקֵ֖ל כָּל־ נִכְבַּדֵּי־ אָֽרֶץ׃

BAN ¹⁰ Répands-toi dans ton pays, comme le Nil, fille de Tarsis ; tu n'as plus de chaînes !

KJV ¹⁰ Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.

WLC ¹⁰ עִבְרִ֥י אַרְצֵ֖ךְ כַּיְאֹ֑ר בַּת־ תַּרְשִׁ֕ישׁ אֵ֖ין מֵ֥זַח עֽוֹד׃

BAN ¹¹ Il a étendu sa main sur la mer, il a fait trembler les royaumes ; l'Eternel a ordonné contre Canaan la destruction de ses forteresses,

KJV ¹¹ He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.

WLC ¹¹ יָדוֹ֙ נָטָ֣ה עַל־ הַיָּ֔ם הִרְגִּ֖יז מַמְלָכ֑וֹת יְהוָה֙ צִוָּ֣ה אֶל־ כְּנַ֔עַן לַשְׁמִ֖ד מָעֻזְנֶֽיהָ׃

BAN ¹² et il a dit : Tu ne feras plus éclater ta joie, vierge déshonorée, fille de Sidon ! Lève-toi, passe à Kittim ; là même il n'y aura pas de repos pour toi.

KJV ¹² And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.

WLC ¹² וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לֹֽא־ תוֹסִ֥יפִי ע֖וֹד לַעְל֑וֹז הַֽמְעֻשָּׁקָ֞ה בְּתוּלַ֣ת בַּת־ צִיד֗וֹן ק֣וּמִי עֲבֹ֔רִי גַּם־ שָׁ֖ם לֹא־ יָנ֥וּחַֽ לָֽךְ׃

BAN ¹³ Vois le pays des Chaldéens, de ce peuple qui n'était pas ; Assur, il l'a livré aux bêtes du désert ; ils ont élevé leurs tours de siège, ils ont détruit ses palais, ils en font un monceau de ruines.

KJV ¹³ Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.

WLC ¹³ הֵ֣ן ׀ אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֗ים זֶ֤ה הָעָם֙ לֹ֣א הָיָ֔ה אַשּׁ֖וּר יְסָדָ֣הּ לְצִיִּ֑ים הֵקִ֣ימוּ עֹרְרוּ֙ אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ שָׂמָ֖הּ לְמַפֵּלָֽה׃

BAN ¹⁴ Hurlez, navires de Tarsis, car on a détruit votre forteresse !

KJV ¹⁴ Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.

WLC ¹⁴ הֵילִ֖ילוּ אֳנִיּ֣וֹת תַּרְשִׁ֑ישׁ כִּ֥י שֻׁדַּ֖ד מָעֻזְּכֶֽן׃

BAN ¹⁵ Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, que Tyr sera oubliée soixante-dix ans, la durée des jours d'un roi. Et au bout des soixante-dix ans, il en sera de Tyr comme dans la chanson de la courtisane :

KJV ¹⁵ And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.

WLC ¹⁵ וְהָיָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא וְנִשְׁכַּ֤חַת צֹר֙ שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה כִּימֵ֖י מֶ֣לֶךְ אֶחָ֑ד מִקֵּ֞ץ שִׁבְעִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לְצֹ֔ר כְּשִׁירַ֖ת הַזּוֹנָֽה׃

BAN ¹⁶ Prends la harpe, fais le tour de la ville, courtisane oubliée ! Joue avec art, multiplie tes chants, pour que l'on se souvienne de toi !

KJV ¹⁶ Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

WLC ¹⁶ קְחִ֥י כִנּ֛וֹר סֹ֥בִּי עִ֖יר זוֹנָ֣ה נִשְׁכָּחָ֑ה הֵיטִ֤יבִי נַגֵּן֙ הַרְבִּי־ שִׁ֔יר לְמַ֖עַן תִּזָּכֵֽרִי׃

BAN ¹⁷ Il arrivera, au bout de soixante-dix ans, que l'Eternel visitera Tyr, et elle recevra de nouveau son salaire, et elle se prostituera à tous les royaumes du monde sur la face de la terre.

KJV ¹⁷ And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

WLC ¹⁷ וְהָיָ֞ה מִקֵּ֣ץ ׀ שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֗ה יִפְקֹ֤ד יְהוָה֙ אֶת־ צֹ֔ר וְשָׁבָ֖ה לְאֶתְנַנָּ֑ה וְזָֽנְתָ֛ה אֶת־ כָּל־ מַמְלְכ֥וֹת הָאָ֖רֶץ עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה׃

BAN ¹⁸ Et ses gains et son salaire seront consacrés à l'Eternel ; ils ne seront ni amassés ni mis en réserve car ses gains appartiendront à ceux qui habitent devant l'Eternel, afin qu'ils mangent et se rassasient et soient vêtus magnifiquement.

KJV ¹⁸ And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

WLC ¹⁸ וְהָיָ֨ה סַחְרָ֜הּ וְאֶתְנַנָּ֗הּ קֹ֚דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָ֔ה לֹ֥א יֵֽאָצֵ֖ר וְלֹ֣א יֵֽחָסֵ֑ן כִּ֣י לַיֹּשְׁבִ֞ים לִפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ יִֽהְיֶ֣ה סַחְרָ֔הּ לֶאֱכֹ֥ל לְשָׂבְעָ֖ה וְלִמְכַסֶּ֥ה עָתִֽיק׃
