BCC ¹ Car voici que le Seigneur, Yahweh des armées, va retirer de Jérusalem et de Juda toute ressource et tout appui, toute ressource de pain et toute ressource d'eau ;

KJV ¹ For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.

WLC ¹ כִּי֩ הִנֵּ֨ה הָאָד֜וֹן יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת מֵסִ֤יר מִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ וּמִ֣יהוּדָ֔ה מַשְׁעֵ֖ן וּמַשְׁעֵנָ֑ה כֹּ֚ל מִשְׁעַן־ לֶ֔חֶם וְכֹ֖ל מִשְׁעַן־ מָֽיִם׃

BCC ² héros et homme de guerre, juge, prophète et devin, ancien,

KJV ² The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

WLC ² גִּבּ֖וֹר וְאִ֣ישׁ מִלְחָמָ֑ה שׁוֹפֵ֥ט וְנָבִ֖יא וְקֹסֵ֥ם וְזָקֵֽן׃

BCC ³ capitaine et notable, conseiller, ouvrier expert en son art et habile enchanteur.

KJV ³ The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

WLC ³ שַׂר־ חֲמִשִּׁ֖ים וּנְשׂ֣וּא פָנִ֑ים וְיוֹעֵ֛ץ וַחֲכַ֥ם חֲרָשִׁ֖ים וּנְב֥וֹן לָֽחַשׁ׃

BCC ⁴ Et je leur donnerai des jeunes gens pour princes, et des enfants domineront sur eux.

KJV ⁴ And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

WLC ⁴ וְנָתַתִּ֥י נְעָרִ֖ים שָׂרֵיהֶ֑ם וְתַעֲלוּלִ֖ים יִמְשְׁלוּ־ בָֽם׃

BCC ⁵ Et le peuple se ruera homme contre homme, chacun contre son voisin ; ils se précipiteront, le jeune homme contre le vieillard, et l'homme de rien contre le plus illustre.

KJV ⁵ And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

WLC ⁵ וְנִגַּ֣שׂ הָעָ֔ם אִ֥ישׁ בְּאִ֖ישׁ וְאִ֣ישׁ בְּרֵעֵ֑הוּ יִרְהֲב֗וּ הַנַּ֙עַר֙ בַּזָּקֵ֔ן וְהַנִּקְלֶ֖ה בַּנִּכְבָּֽד׃

BCC ⁶ Lorsqu'un homme prendra son frère dans la maison de son père, en disant : "Tu as un manteau, sois notre chef, et que cette ruine soit sous ta garde"!

KJV ⁶ When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

WLC ⁶ כִּֽי־ יִתְפֹּ֨שׂ אִ֤ישׁ בְּאָחִיו֙ בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֔יו שִׂמְלָ֣ה לְכָ֔ה קָצִ֖ין תִּֽהְיֶה־ לָּ֑נוּ וְהַמַּכְשֵׁלָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את תַּ֥חַת יָדֶֽךָ׃

BCC ⁷ Il se récriera en ce jour-là : "Je ne veux pas être le médecin : je n'ai dans ma maison ni pain ni manteau ; ne me faites pas chef du peuple".

KJV ⁷ In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.

WLC ⁷ יִשָּׂא֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַה֤וּא ׀ לֵאמֹר֙ לֹא־ אֶהְיֶ֣ה חֹבֵ֔שׁ וּבְבֵיתִ֕י אֵ֥ין לֶ֖חֶם וְאֵ֣ין שִׂמְלָ֑ה לֹ֥א תְשִׂימֻ֖נִי קְצִ֥ין עָֽם׃

BCC ⁸ Car Jérusalem chancelle et Juda s'écroule, parce que leurs paroles et leurs oeuvres sont contre Yahweh, pour braver le regard de sa majesté.

KJV ⁸ For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

WLC ⁸ כִּ֤י כָשְׁלָה֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וִיהוּדָ֖ה נָפָ֑ל כִּֽי־ לְשׁוֹנָ֤ם וּמַֽעַלְלֵיהֶם֙ אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה לַמְר֖וֹת עֵנֵ֥י כְבוֹדֽוֹ׃

BCC ⁹ L'air de leur visage dépose contre eux ; comme Sodome, ils publient leur péché et ne s'en cachent point. Malheur à eux ! car ils sont eux-mêmes les auteurs de leur perte.

KJV ⁹ The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

WLC ⁹ הַכָּרַ֤ת פְּנֵיהֶם֙ עָ֣נְתָה בָּ֔ם וְחַטָּאתָ֛ם כִּסְדֹ֥ם הִגִּ֖ידוּ לֹ֣א כִחֵ֑דוּ א֣וֹי לְנַפְשָׁ֔ם כִּֽי־ גָמְל֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם רָעָֽה׃

BCC ¹⁰ Dites au juste qu'il est heureux, car il mangera le fruit de ses oeuvres.

KJV ¹⁰ Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

WLC ¹⁰ אִמְר֥וּ צַדִּ֖יק כִּי־ ט֑וֹב כִּֽי־ פְרִ֥י מַעַלְלֵיהֶ֖ם יֹאכֵֽלוּ׃

BCC ¹¹ Malheur au méchant! mal lui arrivera, car ce que ses mains ont fait lui sera rendu.

KJV ¹¹ Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

WLC ¹¹ א֖וֹי לְרָשָׁ֣ע רָ֑ע כִּֽי־ גְמ֥וּל יָדָ֖יו יֵעָ֥שֶׂה לּֽוֹ׃

BCC ¹² Mon peuple est opprimé par des enfants, et des femmes le gouvernent. Mon peuple, ceux qui te dirigent t'égarent, et ils ruinent le chemin où tu dois passer.

KJV ¹² As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

WLC ¹² עַמִּי֙ נֹגְשָׂ֣יו מְעוֹלֵ֔ל וְנָשִׁ֖ים מָ֣שְׁלוּ ב֑וֹ עַמִּי֙ מְאַשְּׁרֶ֣יךָ מַתְעִ֔ים וְדֶ֥רֶךְ אֹֽרְחֹתֶ֖יךָ בִּלֵּֽעוּ׃

BCC ¹³ Yahweh s'est levé pour rendre la justice, et il est debout pour juger les peuples.

KJV ¹³ The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

WLC ¹³ נִצָּ֥ב לָרִ֖יב יְהוָ֑ה וְעֹמֵ֖ד לָדִ֥ין עַמִּֽים׃

BCC ¹⁴ Yahweh entre en jugement avec les anciens et les princes de son peuple : "Vous avez brouté la vigne ; la dépouille du pauvre est dans vos maisons.

KJV ¹⁴ The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

WLC ¹⁴ יְהוָה֙ בְּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט יָב֔וֹא עִם־ זִקְנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹ וְשָׂרָ֑יו וְאַתֶּם֙ בִּֽעַרְתֶּ֣ם הַכֶּ֔רֶם גְּזֵלַ֥ת הֶֽעָנִ֖י בְּבָתֵּיכֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁵ De quel droit foulez-vous mon peuple, et écrasez-vous la face des malheureux"? -oracle du Seigneur Yahweh des armées.

KJV ¹⁵ What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

WLC ¹⁵ תְּדַכְּא֣וּ עַמִּ֔י וּפְנֵ֥י עֲנִיִּ֖ים תִּטְחָ֑נוּ נְאֻם־ אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִ֖ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

BCC ¹⁶ Yahweh a dit : Parce que les filles de Sion sont devenues orgueilleuses, qu'elles s'avancent la tête haute, lançant des regards, qu'elles vont à petits pas, et font sonner les anneaux de leurs pieds,

KJV ¹⁶ Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

WLC ¹⁶ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָ֗ה יַ֚עַן כִּ֤י גָֽבְהוּ֙ בְּנ֣וֹת צִיּ֔וֹן וַתֵּלַ֙כְנָה֙ גָּר֔וֹן וּֽמְשַׂקְּר֖וֹת עֵינָ֑יִם הָל֤וֹךְ וְטָפֹף֙ תֵּלַ֔כְנָה וּבְרַגְלֵיהֶ֖ם תְּעַכַּֽסְנָה׃

BCC ¹⁷ le Seigneur rendra chauve le crâne des filles de Sion, et Yahweh découvrira leur nudité.

KJV ¹⁷ Therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

WLC ¹⁷ וְשִׂפַּ֣ח אֲדֹנָ֔י קָדְקֹ֖ד בְּנ֣וֹת צִיּ֑וֹן וַיהוָ֖ה פָּתְהֵ֥ן יְעָרֶֽה׃

BCC ¹⁸ En ce jour-là, le Seigneur enlèvera le luxe des anneaux, les soleils et les croissants ;

KJV ¹⁸ In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

WLC ¹⁸ בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא יָסִ֣יר אֲדֹנָ֗י אֵ֣ת תִּפְאֶ֧רֶת הָעֲכָסִ֛ים וְהַשְּׁבִיסִ֖ים וְהַשַּׂהֲרֹנִֽים׃

BCC ¹⁹ les pendants d'oreille, tes bracelets et les voiles ;

KJV ¹⁹ The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

WLC ¹⁹ הַנְּטִיפ֥וֹת וְהַשֵּׁיר֖וֹת וְהָֽרְעָלֽוֹת׃

BCC ²⁰ les diadèmes, les chaînettes des pieds et les ceintures ;

KJV ²⁰ The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

WLC ²⁰ הַפְּאֵרִ֤ים וְהַצְּעָדוֹת֙ וְהַקִּשֻּׁרִ֔ים וּבָתֵּ֥י הַנֶּ֖פֶשׁ וְהַלְּחָשִֽׁים׃

BCC ²¹ les boîtes à parfum et les amulettes, les bagues et les anneaux du nez ;

KJV ²¹ The rings, and nose jewels,

WLC ²¹ הַטַּבָּע֖וֹת וְנִזְמֵ֥י הָאָֽף׃

BCC ²² les robes de fête et les larges tuniques, les manteaux et les bourses ;

KJV ²² The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

WLC ²² הַמַּֽחֲלָצוֹת֙ וְהַמַּ֣עֲטָפ֔וֹת וְהַמִּטְפָּח֖וֹת וְהָחֲרִיטִֽים׃

BCC ²³ les miroirs et les mousselines, les turbans et les mantilles.

KJV ²³ The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

WLC ²³ וְהַגִּלְיֹנִים֙ וְהַסְּדִינִ֔ים וְהַצְּנִיפ֖וֹת וְהָרְדִידִֽים׃

BCC ²⁴ Et, au lieu de parfum, il y aura la pourriture ; au lieu de ceinture, une corde ; au lieu de cheveux bouclés, une tête chauve ; au lieu d'une ample robe, un sac ; au lieu de beauté, la marque imprimée par le feu

KJV ²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

WLC ²⁴ וְהָיָה֩ תַ֨חַת בֹּ֜שֶׂם מַ֣ק יִֽהְיֶ֗ה וְתַ֨חַת חֲגוֹרָ֤ה נִקְפָּה֙ וְתַ֨חַת מַעֲשֶׂ֤ה מִקְשֶׁה֙ קָרְחָ֔ה וְתַ֥חַת פְּתִיגִ֖יל מַחֲגֹ֣רֶת שָׂ֑ק כִּי־ תַ֖חַת יֹֽפִי׃

BCC ²⁵ Tes guerriers tomberont par l'épée, et tes héros dans la bataille.

KJV ²⁵ Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.

WLC ²⁵ מְתַ֖יִךְ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יִפֹּ֑לוּ וּגְבוּרָתֵ֖ךְ בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

BCC ²⁶ Les portes de Sion gémiront et seront dans le deuil, et, désolée, elle sera assise dans la poussière.

KJV ²⁶ And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

WLC ²⁶ וְאָנ֥וּ וְאָבְל֖וּ פְּתָחֶ֑יהָ וְנִקָּ֖תָה לָאָ֥רֶץ תֵּשֵֽׁב׃
