Que la terre écoute avec tout ce qu'elle contient,
le monde avec tout ce qu'il produit!

WLC ¹ קִרְב֤וּ גוֹיִם֙ לִשְׁמֹ֔עַ וּלְאֻמִּ֖ים הַקְשִׁ֑יבוּ תִּשְׁמַ֤ע הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ וּמְלֹאָ֔הּ תֵּבֵ֖ל וְכָל־ צֶאֱצָאֶֽיהָ׃

KJV ² For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.

S21 ² En effet, la colère de l'Eternel s'abat sur toutes les nations
et sa fureur sur toute leur armée:
il les voue à la destruction,
il les livre au carnage.

WLC ² כִּ֣י קֶ֤צֶף לַֽיהוָה֙ עַל־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם וְחֵמָ֖ה עַל־ כָּל־ צְבָאָ֑ם הֶחֱרִימָ֖ם נְתָנָ֥ם לַטָּֽבַח׃

KJV ³ Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

S21 ³ Leurs victimes sont jetées,
leurs cadavres exhalent la puanteur
et les montagnes ruissellent de leur sang.

WLC ³ וְחַלְלֵיהֶ֣ם יֻשְׁלָ֔כוּ וּפִגְרֵיהֶ֖ם יַעֲלֶ֣ה בָאְשָׁ֑ם וְנָמַ֥סּוּ הָרִ֖ים מִדָּמָֽם׃

KJV ⁴ And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

S21 ⁴ Tous les corps célestes se désagrègent;
le ciel est roulé comme un livre
et *tous ses corps tomberont 
comme la feuille de la vigne,
comme celle du figuier.

WLC ⁴ וְנָמַ֙קּוּ֙ כָּל־ צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְנָגֹ֥לּוּ כַסֵּ֖פֶר הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְכָל־ צְבָאָ֣ם יִבּ֔וֹל כִּנְבֹ֤ל עָלֶה֙ מִגֶּ֔פֶן וּכְנֹבֶ֖לֶת מִתְּאֵנָֽה׃

KJV ⁵ For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.

S21 ⁵ C'est que mon épée s'est enivrée dans le ciel.
La voici qui descend pour frapper Edom,
ce peuple que, pour respecter le droit, j'ai voué à la destruction définitive.

WLC ⁵ כִּֽי־ רִוְּתָ֥ה בַשָּׁמַ֖יִם חַרְבִּ֑י הִנֵּה֙ עַל־ אֱד֣וֹם תֵּרֵ֔ד וְעַל־ עַ֥ם חֶרְמִ֖י לְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃

KJV ⁶ The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

S21 ⁶ L'épée de l'Eternel est pleine de sang, recouverte de graisse,
du sang des agneaux et des boucs,
de la graisse des rognons des béliers.
Oui, c'est un repas sacrificiel pour l'Eternel qui se déroule à Botsra,
un grand carnage dans le pays d'Edom.

WLC ⁶ חֶ֣רֶב לַיהוָ֞ה מָלְאָ֥ה דָם֙ הֻדַּ֣שְׁנָה מֵחֵ֔לֶב מִדַּ֤ם כָּרִים֙ וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים מֵחֵ֖לֶב כִּלְי֣וֹת אֵילִ֑ים כִּ֣י זֶ֤בַח לַֽיהוָה֙ בְּבָצְרָ֔ה וְטֶ֥בַח גָּד֖וֹל בְּאֶ֥רֶץ אֱדֽוֹם׃

KJV ⁷ And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

S21 ⁷ Les buffles tombent avec eux,
et les bœufs avec les taureaux.
Leur pays s'enivre de ce sang
et leur poussière est imprégnée de graisse.

WLC ⁷ וְיָרְד֤וּ רְאֵמִים֙ עִמָּ֔ם וּפָרִ֖ים עִם־ אַבִּירִ֑ים וְרִוְּתָ֤ה אַרְצָם֙ מִדָּ֔ם וַעֲפָרָ֖ם מֵחֵ֥לֶב יְדֻשָּֽׁן׃

KJV ⁸ For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

S21 ⁸ En effet, c'est un jour de vengeance pour l'Eternel,
une année de représailles pour la cause de Sion.

WLC ⁸ כִּ֛י י֥וֹם נָקָ֖ם לַֽיהוָ֑ה שְׁנַ֥ת שִׁלּוּמִ֖ים לְרִ֥יב צִיּֽוֹן׃

KJV ⁹ And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.

S21 ⁹ L'eau des torrents d'Edom sera changée en goudron
et sa poussière en soufre.
Son pays deviendra du goudron brûlant

WLC ⁹ וְנֶהֶפְכ֤וּ נְחָלֶ֙יהָ֙ לְזֶ֔פֶת וַעֲפָרָ֖הּ לְגָפְרִ֑ית וְהָיְתָ֣ה אַרְצָ֔הּ לְזֶ֖פֶת בֹּעֵרָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁰ It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

S21 ¹⁰ qui ne s'éteindra ni la nuit ni le jour.
Sa fumée s'élèvera éternellement.
De génération en génération il restera désert,
plus jamais personne n'y passera.

WLC ¹⁰ לַ֤יְלָה וְיוֹמָם֙ לֹ֣א תִכְבֶּ֔ה לְעוֹלָ֖ם יַעֲלֶ֣ה עֲשָׁנָ֑הּ מִדּ֤וֹר לָדוֹר֙ תֶּחֱרָ֔ב לְנֵ֣צַח נְצָחִ֔ים אֵ֥ין עֹבֵ֖ר בָּֽהּ׃

KJV ¹¹ But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.

S21 ¹¹ Le pélican et le hérisson en prendront possession,
la chouette et le corbeau y habiteront.
On y étendra le ruban à mesurer du vide
et le fil à plomb du chaos.

WLC ¹¹ וִירֵשׁ֙וּהָ֙ קָאַ֣ת וְקִפּ֔וֹד וְיַנְשׁ֥וֹף וְעֹרֵ֖ב יִשְׁכְּנוּ־ בָ֑הּ וְנָטָ֥ה עָלֶ֛יהָ קַֽו־ תֹ֖הוּ וְאַבְנֵי־ בֹֽהוּ׃

KJV ¹² They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.

S21 ¹² Ses notables n'y proclameront plus de roi,
tous ses princes auront disparu.

WLC ¹² חֹרֶ֥יהָ וְאֵֽין־ שָׁ֖ם מְלוּכָ֣ה יִקְרָ֑אוּ וְכָל־ שָׂרֶ֖יהָ יִ֥הְיוּ אָֽפֶס׃

KJV ¹³ And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.

S21 ¹³ Les buissons d'épines pousseront dans ses palais,
les ronces et les orties dans ses forteresses.
Ce sera le domaine des chacals,
le repaire des autruches.

WLC ¹³ וְעָלְתָ֤ה אַרְמְנֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ סִירִ֔ים קִמּ֥וֹשׂ וָח֖וֹחַ בְּמִבְצָרֶ֑יהָ וְהָיְתָה֙ נְוֵ֣ה תַנִּ֔ים חָצִ֖יר לִבְנ֥וֹת יַעֲנָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁴ The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.

S21 ¹⁴ Les bêtes du désert y rencontreront les hyènes
et les boucs s'y appelleront l'un l'autre.
Le spectre de la nuit y aura sa résidence
et y trouvera son endroit de repos.

WLC ¹⁴ וּפָגְשׁ֤וּ צִיִּים֙ אֶת־ אִיִּ֔ים וְשָׂעִ֖יר עַל־ רֵעֵ֣הוּ יִקְרָ֑א אַךְ־ שָׁם֙ הִרְגִּ֣יעָה לִּילִ֔ית וּמָצְאָ֥ה לָ֖הּ מָנֽוֹחַ׃

KJV ¹⁵ There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.

S21 ¹⁵ Le serpent y fera son nid, y déposera ses œufs,
les couvera et rassemblera ses petits sous son ombre.
Là se rassembleront les vautours, chaque femelle avec son compagnon.

WLC ¹⁵ שָׁ֣מָּה קִנְּנָ֤ה קִפּוֹז֙ וַתְּמַלֵּ֔ט וּבָקְעָ֖ה וְדָגְרָ֣ה בְצִלָּ֑הּ אַךְ־ שָׁ֛ם נִקְבְּצ֥וּ דַיּ֖וֹת אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָֽהּ׃

KJV ¹⁶ Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

S21 ¹⁶ Cherchez dans le livre de l'Eternel et lisez!
Aucune de ces bêtes ne sera absente,
aucune femelle avec son compagnon ne manquera.
Oui, c'est l'Eternel qui l'a ordonné
et c'est son Esprit qui les rassemblera.

WLC ¹⁶ דִּרְשׁ֨וּ מֵֽעַל־ סֵ֤פֶר יְהוָה֙ וּֽקְרָ֔אוּ אַחַ֤ת מֵהֵ֙נָּה֙ לֹ֣א נֶעְדָּ֔רָה אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָ֖הּ לֹ֣א פָקָ֑דוּ כִּֽי־ פִי֙ ה֣וּא צִוָּ֔ה וְרוּח֖וֹ ה֥וּא קִבְּצָֽן׃

KJV ¹⁷ And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.

S21 ¹⁷ Il a procédé à un tirage au sort pour eux,
sa main leur a partagé ce pays au ruban à mesurer.
Ils en prendront possession pour toujours,
ils y auront leur résidence de génération en génération.

WLC ¹⁷ וְהֽוּא־ הִפִּ֤יל לָהֶן֙ גּוֹרָ֔ל וְיָד֛וֹ חִלְּקַ֥תָּה לָהֶ֖ם בַּקָּ֑ו עַד־ עוֹלָם֙ יִֽירָשׁ֔וּהָ לְד֥וֹר וָד֖וֹר יִשְׁכְּנוּ־ בָֽהּ׃
