WLC ¹ שִׁמְע֤וּ אִיִּים֙ אֵלַ֔י וְהַקְשִׁ֥יבוּ לְאֻמִּ֖ים מֵרָח֑וֹק יְהוָה֙ מִבֶּ֣טֶן קְרָאָ֔נִי מִמְּעֵ֥י אִמִּ֖י הִזְכִּ֥יר שְׁמִֽי׃

KJV ² And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

MAR ² Et il a rendu ma bouche semblable à une épée aiguë ; il m'a caché dans l'ombre de sa main, et m'a rendu semblable à une flèche bien polie, il m'a serré dans son carquois.

VULC ² Et posuit os meum quasi gladium acutum,
in umbra manus suæ protexit me,
et posuit me sicut sagittam electam :
in pharetra sua abscondit me.

WLC ² וַיָּ֤שֶׂם פִּי֙ כְּחֶ֣רֶב חַדָּ֔ה בְּצֵ֥ל יָד֖וֹ הֶחְבִּיאָ֑נִי וַיְשִׂימֵ֙נִי֙ לְחֵ֣ץ בָּר֔וּר בְּאַשְׁפָּת֖וֹ הִסְתִּירָֽנִי׃

KJV ³ And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

MAR ³ Et il m'a dit ; tu es mon serviteur ; Israël [est] celui en qui je me glorifierai par toi.

VULC ³ Et dixit mihi : Servus meus es tu Israël,
quia in te gloriabor.

WLC ³ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר לִ֖י עַבְדִּי־ אָ֑תָּה יִשְׂרָאֵ֕ל אֲשֶׁר־ בְּךָ֖ אֶתְפָּאָֽר׃

KJV ⁴ Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.

MAR ⁴ Et moi j'ai dit ; j'ai travaillé en vain ; j'ai usé ma force pour néant et sans fruit ; toutefois mon droit est par-devers l'Eternel, mon œuvre est par-devers mon Dieu.

VULC ⁴ Et ego dixi : In vacuum laboravi ;
sine causa et vane fortitudinem meam consumpsi :
ergo judicium meum cum Domino,
et opus meum cum Deo meo.

WLC ⁴ וַאֲנִ֤י אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ לְרִ֣יק יָגַ֔עְתִּי לְתֹ֥הוּ וְהֶ֖בֶל כֹּחִ֣י כִלֵּ֑יתִי אָכֵן֙ מִשְׁפָּטִ֣י אֶת־ יְהוָ֔ה וּפְעֻלָּתִ֖י אֶת־ אֱלֹהָֽי׃

KJV ⁵ And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.

MAR ⁵ Maintenant donc l'Eternel, qui m'a formé dès le ventre pour lui être serviteur, m'a dit que je lui ramène Jacob ; mais Israël ne se rassemble point ; toutefois je serai glorifié aux yeux de l'Eternel, et mon Dieu sera ma force.

VULC ⁵ Et nunc dicit Dominus,
formans me ex utero servum sibi,
ut reducam Jacob ad eum,
et Israël non congregabitur ;
et glorificatus sum in oculis Domini,
et Deus meus factus est fortitudo mea.

WLC ⁵ וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה יֹצְרִ֤י מִבֶּ֙טֶן֙ לְעֶ֣בֶד ל֔וֹ לְשׁוֹבֵ֤ב יַֽעֲקֹב֙ אֵלָ֔יו וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יֵאָסֵ֑ף וְאֶכָּבֵד֙ בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וֵאלֹהַ֖י הָיָ֥ה עֻזִּֽי׃

KJV ⁶ And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

MAR ⁶ Et il m'a dit ; c'est peu de chose que tu me sois serviteur pour rétablir les Tribus de Jacob, et pour délivrer ]es captifs d'Israël ; c'est pourquoi je t'ai donné pour lumière aux nations, afin que tu sois mon salut jusques au bout de la terre.

ad suscitandas tribus Jacob,
et fæces Israël convertendas :

ut sis salus mea

KJV ⁷ Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

KJV ⁸ Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

MAR ⁸ Ainsi a dit l'Eternel ; je t'ai exaucé au temps de la bienveillance, et je t'ai aidé au jour du salut ; je te garderai, et je te donnerai pour être l'alliance du peuple, pour rétablir la terre, et afin que tu possèdes les héritages désolés.

KJV ⁹ That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

MAR ⁹ Disant à ceux qui sont garrottés ; sortez ; et à ceux qui sont dans les ténèbres ; montrez-vous. Ils paîtront sur les chemins, et leurs pâturages seront sur tous les lieux haut élevés.

et his qui in tenebris : Revelamini.
Super vias pascentur,
et in omnibus planis pascua eorum.

KJV ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

quia miserator eorum reget eos,

KJV ¹¹ And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

MAR ¹¹ Et je réduirai toutes mes montagnes en chemins, et mes sentiers seront relevés.

et semitæ meæ exaltabuntur.

KJV ¹² Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

MAR ¹² Voici, ceux-ci viendront de loin ; et voici, ceux-là viendront de l'Aquilon, et [ceux-là] de la mer, et les autres du pays des Siniens.

KJV ¹³ Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

KJV ¹⁴ But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

KJV ¹⁸ Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.

KJV ¹⁹ For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.

et longe fugabuntur qui absorbebant te.

WLC ¹⁹ כִּ֤י חָרְבֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ וְשֹׁ֣מְמֹתַ֔יִךְ וְאֶ֖רֶץ הֲרִֽסֻתֵ֑יךְ כִּ֤י עַתָּה֙ תֵּצְרִ֣י מִיּוֹשֵׁ֔ב וְרָחֲק֖וּ מְבַלְּעָֽיִךְ׃

KJV ²⁰ The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.

MAR ²⁰ Les enfants que tu auras, après avoir perdu les autres, diront encore, toi l'entendant ; ce lieu est trop étroit pour moi, fais-moi place afin que j'y puisse demeurer.

filii sterilitatis tuæ :
Angustus est mihi locus ;
fac spatium mihi ut habitem.

WLC ²⁰ ע֚וֹד יֹאמְר֣וּ בְאָזְנַ֔יִךְ בְּנֵ֖י שִׁכֻּלָ֑יִךְ צַר־ לִ֥י הַמָּק֖וֹם גְּשָׁה־ לִּ֥י וְאֵשֵֽׁבָה׃

KJV ²¹ Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?

MAR ²¹ Et tu diras en ton cœur ; qui m'a engendré ceux-ci ; vu que j'avais perdu mes enfants, et que j'étais seule ? emmenée en captivité, et agitée, et qui m'a nourri ceux-ci ? voici, j'étais demeurée toute seule, et ceux-ci où étaient-ils ?

VULC ²¹ Et dices in corde tuo :
Quis genuit mihi istos ?
ego sterilis et non pariens,
transmigrata, et captiva ;
et istos quis enutrivit ?
ego destituta et sola ;

WLC ²¹ וְאָמַ֣רְתְּ בִּלְבָבֵ֗ךְ מִ֤י יָֽלַד־ לִי֙ אֶת־ אֵ֔לֶּה וַאֲנִ֥י שְׁכוּלָ֖ה וְגַלְמוּדָ֑ה גֹּלָ֣ה ׀ וְסוּרָ֗ה וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ מִ֣י גִדֵּ֔ל הֵ֤ן אֲנִי֙ נִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּי לְבַדִּ֔י אֵ֖לֶּה אֵיפֹ֥ה הֵֽם׃

KJV ²² Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.

KJV ²³ And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

MAR ²³ Et les Rois seront tes nourriciers, et les Princesses leurs femmes tes nourrices ; ils se prosterneront devant toi le visage contre terre, et lécheront la poudre de tes pieds ; et tu sauras que je suis l'Eternel, et que ceux qui se confient en moi ne seront point honteux.

VULC ²³ Et erunt reges nutritii tui,
et reginæ nutrices tuæ ;
vultu in terram demisso adorabunt te,
et pulverem pedum tuorum lingent.
Et scies quia ego Dominus,
super quo non confundentur qui exspectant eum.

WLC ²³ וְהָי֨וּ מְלָכִ֜ים אֹֽמְנַ֗יִךְ וְשָׂרֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ מֵינִ֣יקֹתַ֔יִךְ אַפַּ֗יִם אֶ֚רֶץ יִשְׁתַּ֣חֲווּ לָ֔ךְ וַעֲפַ֥ר רַגְלַ֖יִךְ יְלַחֵ֑כוּ וְיָדַ֙עַתְּ֙ כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ יֵבֹ֖שׁוּ קוָֹֽי׃

KJV ²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

MAR ²⁴ Le pillage sera-t-il ôté à l'homme puissant? et les captifs du juste seront-ils délivrés ?

VULC ²⁴ Numquid tolletur a forti præda ?
aut quod captum fuerit a robusto, salvum esse poterit ?

WLC ²⁴ הֲיֻקַּ֥ח מִגִּבּ֖וֹר מַלְק֑וֹחַ וְאִם־ שְׁבִ֥י צַדִּ֖יק יִמָּלֵֽט׃

KJV ²⁵ But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Equidem, et captivitas a forti tolletur,
et quod ablatum fuerit a robusto, salvabitur.
Eos vero qui judicaverunt te, ego judicabo,
et filios tuos ego salvabo.
