WLC ¹ הֵ֛ן לֹֽא־ קָצְרָ֥ה יַד־ יְהוָ֖ה מֵֽהוֹשִׁ֑יעַ וְלֹא־ כָבְדָ֥ה אָזְנ֖וֹ מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃

KJV ² But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

S21 ² mais ce sont vos fautes qui ont fait séparation
entre vous et votre Dieu,
ce sont vos péchés qui vous l'ont caché
et l'ont empêché de vous écouter.

WLC ² כִּ֤י אִם־ עֲוֺנֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ הָי֣וּ מַבְדִּלִ֔ים בֵּינֵכֶ֕ם לְבֵ֖ין אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֑ם וְחַטֹּֽאותֵיכֶ֗ם הִסְתִּ֧ירוּ פָנִ֛ים מִכֶּ֖ם מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃

KJV ³ For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

S21 ³ En effet, vos mains sont souillées de sang
et vos doigts de crimes,
vos lèvres profèrent le mensonge,
votre langue fait entendre le mal.

WLC ³ כִּ֤י כַפֵּיכֶם֙ נְגֹאֲל֣וּ בַדָּ֔ם וְאֶצְבְּעוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם בֶּֽעָוֺ֑ן שִׂפְתֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ דִּבְּרוּ־ שֶׁ֔קֶר לְשׁוֹנְכֶ֖ם עַוְלָ֥ה תֶהְגֶּֽה׃

KJV ⁴ None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

S21 ⁴ Personne ne fait appel à la justice,
personne ne plaide avec droiture.
Ils s'appuient sur le vide et disent des faussetés,
ils conçoivent le trouble et donnent naissance au crime.

WLC ⁴ אֵין־ קֹרֵ֣א בְצֶ֔דֶק וְאֵ֥ין נִשְׁפָּ֖ט בֶּאֱמוּנָ֑ה בָּט֤וֹחַ עַל־ תֹּ֙הוּ֙ וְדַבֶּר־ שָׁ֔וְא הָר֥וֹ עָמָ֖ל וְהוֹלֵ֥יד אָֽוֶן׃

KJV ⁵ They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

S21 ⁵ Ils font éclore des œufs de vipère
et tissent des toiles d'araignée.
Celui qui mange de leurs œufs meurt
et, si l'on en écrase un, c'est un serpent qui sort.

WLC ⁵ בֵּיצֵ֤י צִפְעוֹנִי֙ בִּקֵּ֔עוּ וְקוּרֵ֥י עַכָּבִ֖ישׁ יֶאֱרֹ֑גוּ הָאֹכֵ֤ל מִבֵּֽיצֵיהֶם֙ יָמ֔וּת וְהַזּוּרֶ֖ה תִּבָּקַ֥ע אֶפְעֶֽה׃

KJV ⁶ Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

S21 ⁶ Leurs toiles ne servent pas à faire un habit
et ils ne peuvent se couvrir du fruit de leur travail.
Ils ne commettent que l'injustice
et leurs mains sont pleines d'actes de violence.

WLC ⁶ קֽוּרֵיהֶם֙ לֹא־ יִהְי֣וּ לְבֶ֔גֶד וְלֹ֥א יִתְכַּסּ֖וּ בְּמַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם מַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶם֙ מַֽעֲשֵׂי־ אָ֔וֶן וּפֹ֥עַל חָמָ֖ס בְּכַפֵּיהֶֽם׃

KJV ⁷ Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

S21 ⁷ *Leurs pieds courent au mal
et s'empressent de verser le sang innocent.
Leurs pensées sont orientées vers l'injustice,
la destruction et le malheur marquent leur passage.

WLC ⁷ רַגְלֵיהֶם֙ לָרַ֣ע יָרֻ֔צוּ וִֽימַהֲר֔וּ לִשְׁפֹּ֖ךְ דָּ֣ם נָקִ֑י מַחְשְׁבֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת אָ֔וֶן שֹׁ֥ד וָשֶׁ֖בֶר בִּמְסִלּוֹתָֽם׃

KJV ⁸ The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

S21 ⁸ Ils ne connaissent pas le chemin de la paix 
et le droit est absent de leur parcours.
Ils empruntent des sentiers tortueux:
celui qui y marche ne connaît pas la paix.

WLC ⁸ דֶּ֤רֶךְ שָׁלוֹם֙ לֹ֣א יָדָ֔עוּ וְאֵ֥ין מִשְׁפָּ֖ט בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתָ֑ם נְתִיבֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ עִקְּשׁ֣וּ לָהֶ֔ם כֹּ֚ל דֹּרֵ֣ךְ בָּ֔הּ לֹ֥א יָדַ֖ע שָׁלֽוֹם׃

KJV ⁹ Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.

S21 ⁹ Voilà pourquoi le droit reste loin de nous
et la justice ne nous atteint pas.
Nous attendions la lumière et voici les ténèbres,
la clarté et voici que nous marchons dans l'obscurité.

WLC ⁹ עַל־ כֵּ֗ן רָחַ֤ק מִשְׁפָּט֙ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ וְלֹ֥א תַשִּׂיגֵ֖נוּ צְדָקָ֑ה נְקַוֶּ֤ה לָאוֹר֙ וְהִנֵּה־ חֹ֔שֶׁךְ לִנְגֹה֖וֹת בָּאֲפֵל֥וֹת נְהַלֵּֽךְ׃

KJV ¹⁰ We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.

S21 ¹⁰ Nous tâtonnons comme des aveugles le long d'un mur,
nous tâtonnons comme ceux qui n'ont pas d'yeux.
Nous trébuchons à midi comme en pleine nuit.
Au milieu de l'abondance nous ressemblons à des morts.

WLC ¹⁰ נְגַֽשְׁשָׁ֤ה כַֽעִוְרִים֙ קִ֔יר וּכְאֵ֥ין עֵינַ֖יִם נְגַשֵּׁ֑שָׁה כָּשַׁ֤לְנוּ בַֽצָּהֳרַ֙יִם֙ כַּנֶּ֔שֶׁף בָּאַשְׁמַנִּ֖ים כַּמֵּתִֽים׃

KJV ¹¹ We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.

S21 ¹¹ Nous grognons tous comme des ours,
nous gémissons sans cesse comme des colombes.
Nous attendions un juste jugement, mais il n'est pas là,
le salut, mais il est loin de nous.

KJV ¹² For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

et nos péchés témoignent contre nous;
nos transgressions font corps avec nous
et nous reconnaissons nos fautes.

WLC ¹² כִּֽי־ רַבּ֤וּ פְשָׁעֵ֙ינוּ֙ נֶגְדֶּ֔ךָ וְחַטֹּאותֵ֖ינוּ עָ֣נְתָה בָּ֑נוּ כִּֽי־ פְשָׁעֵ֣ינוּ אִתָּ֔נוּ וַעֲוֺנֹתֵ֖ינוּ יְדַֽעֲנֽוּם׃

KJV ¹³ In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

S21 ¹³ Nous avons eu un comportement coupable envers l'Eternel,
nous l'avons trahi,
nous nous sommes détournés de notre Dieu,
nous avons parlé exploitation et révolte,
nous avons conçu et médité dans le cœur des paroles mensongères,

WLC ¹³ פָּשֹׁ֤עַ וְכַחֵשׁ֙ בַּֽיהוָ֔ה וְנָס֖וֹג מֵאַחַ֣ר אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ דַּבֶּר־ עֹ֣שֶׁק וְסָרָ֔ה הֹר֧וֹ וְהֹג֛וֹ מִלֵּ֖ב דִּבְרֵי־ שָֽׁקֶר׃

KJV ¹⁴ And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

S21 ¹⁴ si bien que le droit s'est retiré
et la justice se tient éloignée.
Lorsque la vérité trébuche sur la place publique,
la droiture ne peut approcher.

WLC ¹⁴ וְהֻסַּ֤ג אָחוֹר֙ מִשְׁפָּ֔ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה מֵרָח֣וֹק תַּעֲמֹ֑ד כִּֽי־ כָשְׁלָ֤ה בָֽרְחוֹב֙ אֱמֶ֔ת וּנְכֹחָ֖ה לֹא־ תוּכַ֥ל לָבֽוֹא׃

KJV ¹⁵ Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

S21 ¹⁵ La vérité est devenue rare
et celui qui s'écarte du mal est victime de pillages.
L'Eternel voit avec indignation
qu'il n'y a plus de droiture.

WLC ¹⁵ וַתְּהִ֤י הָֽאֱמֶת֙ נֶעְדֶּ֔רֶת וְסָ֥ר מֵרָ֖ע מִשְׁתּוֹלֵ֑ל וַיַּ֧רְא יְהוָ֛ה וַיֵּ֥רַע בְּעֵינָ֖יו כִּֽי־ אֵ֥ין מִשְׁפָּֽט׃

KJV ¹⁶ And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

S21 ¹⁶ Il constate qu'il n'y a personne,
il est consterné en voyant qu'il n'y a personne pour intercéder,
alors son bras lui assure le salut
et sa justice lui sert de soutien.

WLC ¹⁶ וַיַּרְא֙ כִּֽי־ אֵ֣ין אִ֔ישׁ וַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֵ֖ם כִּ֣י אֵ֣ין מַפְגִּ֑יעַ וַתּ֤וֹשַֽׁע לוֹ֙ זְרֹע֔וֹ וְצִדְקָת֖וֹ הִ֥יא סְמָכָֽתְהוּ׃

KJV ¹⁷ For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

S21 ¹⁷ Il enfile la justice comme une cuirasse
et met sur sa tête le casque du salut;
il prend la vengeance pour vêtement
et s'enveloppe du zèle comme d'un manteau.

WLC ¹⁷ וַיִּלְבַּ֤שׁ צְדָקָה֙ כַּשִּׁרְיָ֔ן וְכ֥וֹבַע יְשׁוּעָ֖ה בְּרֹאשׁ֑וֹ וַיִּלְבַּ֞שׁ בִּגְדֵ֤י נָקָם֙ תִּלְבֹּ֔שֶׁת וַיַּ֥עַט כַּמְעִ֖יל קִנְאָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁸ According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

S21 ¹⁸ Il paiera à chacun le salaire qu'il mérite:
la colère à ses adversaires,
le salaire qu'ils méritent à ses ennemis;
il paiera aussi aux îles le salaire qu'elles méritent.

WLC ¹⁸ כְּעַ֤ל גְּמֻלוֹת֙ כְּעַ֣ל יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם חֵמָ֣ה לְצָרָ֔יו גְּמ֖וּל לְאֹֽיְבָ֑יו לָאִיִּ֖ים גְּמ֥וּל יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃

KJV ¹⁹ So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

S21 ¹⁹ On craindra le nom de l'Eternel à l'ouest
et sa gloire à l'est.
Quand l'adversaire surgira, pareil à un fleuve,
l'Esprit de l'Eternel le mettra en fuite.

WLC ¹⁹ וְיִֽירְא֤וּ מִֽמַּעֲרָב֙ אֶת־ שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה וּמִמִּזְרַח־ שֶׁ֖מֶשׁ אֶת־ כְּבוֹד֑וֹ כִּֽי־ יָב֤וֹא כַנָּהָר֙ צָ֔ר ר֥וּחַ יְהוָ֖ה נֹ֥סְסָה בֽוֹ׃

KJV ²⁰ And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

S21 ²⁰ *Le libérateur viendra pour Sion,
pour ceux de Jacob qui renoncent à leur révolte,
déclare l'Eternel.

WLC ²⁰ וּבָ֤א לְצִיּוֹן֙ גּוֹאֵ֔ל וּלְשָׁבֵ֥י פֶ֖שַׁע בְּיַֽעֲקֹ֑ב נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ²¹ As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

S21 ²¹ Quant à moi, telle sera mon alliance avec eux, dit l'Eternel: mon Esprit, qui repose sur toi, et mes paroles, celles que j'ai mises dans ta bouche, ne quitteront pas ta bouche, ni celle de tes enfants, ni celle de tes petits-enfants, dit l'Eternel, dès maintenant et pour toujours.

WLC ²¹ וַאֲנִ֗י זֹ֣את בְּרִיתִ֤י אוֹתָם֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה רוּחִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָלֶ֔יךָ וּדְבָרַ֖י אֲשֶׁר־ שַׂ֣מְתִּי בְּפִ֑יךָ לֹֽא־ יָמ֡וּשׁוּ מִפִּיךָ֩ וּמִפִּ֨י זַרְעֲךָ֜ וּמִפִּ֨י זֶ֤רַע זַרְעֲךָ֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה מֵעַתָּ֖ה וְעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃
