KJV ¹ In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

WLC ¹ בִּשְׁנַת־ מוֹת֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ עֻזִּיָּ֔הוּ וָאֶרְאֶ֧ה אֶת־ אֲדֹנָ֛י יֹשֵׁ֥ב עַל־ כִּסֵּ֖א רָ֣ם וְנִשָּׂ֑א וְשׁוּלָ֖יו מְלֵאִ֥ים אֶת־ הַהֵיכָֽל׃

KJV ² Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

MAR ² Les Séraphins se tenaient au-dessus de lui, et chacun d'eux avait six ailes ; de deux ils couvraient leur face, et de deux ils couvraient leurs pieds, et de deux ils volaient.

VULC ² Seraphim stabant super illud : sex alæ uni, et sex alæ alteri ; duabus velabant faciem ejus, et duabus velabant pedes ejus, et duabus volabant.

WLC ² שְׂרָפִ֨ים עֹמְדִ֤ים ׀ מִמַּ֙עַל֙ ל֔וֹ שֵׁ֧שׁ כְּנָפַ֛יִם שֵׁ֥שׁ כְּנָפַ֖יִם לְאֶחָ֑ד בִּשְׁתַּ֣יִם ׀ יְכַסֶּ֣ה פָנָ֗יו וּבִשְׁתַּ֛יִם יְכַסֶּ֥ה רַגְלָ֖יו וּבִשְׁתַּ֥יִם יְעוֹפֵֽף׃

KJV ³ And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

MAR ³ Et ils criaient l'un à l'autre, et disaient : Saint, Saint, Saint est l'Eternel des armées ; tout ce qui est dans toute la terre est sa gloire.

VULC ³ Et clamabant alter ad alterum, et dicebant : [Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus Dominus, Deus exercituum ;
plena est omnis terra gloria ejus.]

WLC ³ וְקָרָ֨א זֶ֤ה אֶל־ זֶה֙ וְאָמַ֔ר קָד֧וֹשׁ ׀ קָד֛וֹשׁ קָד֖וֹשׁ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת מְלֹ֥א כָל־ הָאָ֖רֶץ כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃

KJV ⁴ And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

MAR ⁴ Et les poteaux des seuils furent ébranlés par la voix de celui qui criait ; et la maison fut remplie de fumée.

VULC ⁴ Et commota sunt superliminaria cardinum a voce clamantis, et domus repleta est fumo.

WLC ⁴ וַיָּנֻ֙עוּ֙ אַמּ֣וֹת הַסִּפִּ֔ים מִקּ֖וֹל הַקּוֹרֵ֑א וְהַבַּ֖יִת יִמָּלֵ֥א עָשָֽׁן׃

KJV ⁵ Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

MAR ⁵ Alors je dis ; Hélas moi ! car c'est fait de moi, parce que je suis un homme souillé de lèvres, et que je demeure parmi un peuple souillé de lèvres ; et mes yeux ont vu le Roi, l'Eternel des armées.

VULC ⁵ Et dixi : [Væ mihi, quia tacui,
quia vir pollutus labiis ego sum,
et in medio populi polluta labia habentis ego habito,
et regem Dominum exercituum vidi oculis meis.]

WLC ⁵ וָאֹמַ֞ר אֽוֹי־ לִ֣י כִֽי־ נִדְמֵ֗יתִי כִּ֣י אִ֤ישׁ טְמֵֽא־ שְׂפָתַ֙יִם֙ אָנֹ֔כִי וּבְתוֹךְ֙ עַם־ טְמֵ֣א שְׂפָתַ֔יִם אָנֹכִ֖י יוֹשֵׁ֑ב כִּ֗י אֶת־ הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת רָא֥וּ עֵינָֽי׃

KJV ⁶ Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

MAR ⁶ Mais l'un des Séraphins vola vers moi, tenant en sa main un charbon vif, qu'il avait pris de dessus l'autel avec des pincettes ;

VULC ⁶ Et volavit ad me unus de seraphim, et in manu ejus calculus, quem forcipe tulerat de altari,

WLC ⁶ וַיָּ֣עָף אֵלַ֗י אֶחָד֙ מִן־ הַשְּׂרָפִ֔ים וּבְיָד֖וֹ רִצְפָּ֑ה בְּמֶ֨לְקַחַ֔יִם לָקַ֖ח מֵעַ֥ל הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

KJV ⁷ And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

MAR ⁷ Et il en toucha ma bouche, et dit ; voici, ceci a touché tes lèvres, c'est pourquoi ton iniquité sera ôtée, et la propitiation sera faite pour ton péché.

VULC ⁷ et tetigit os meum, et dixit : [Ecce tetigit hoc labia tua,
et auferetur iniquitas tua, et peccatum tuum mundabitur.]

WLC ⁷ וַיַּגַּ֣ע עַל־ פִּ֔י וַיֹּ֕אמֶר הִנֵּ֛ה נָגַ֥ע זֶ֖ה עַל־ שְׂפָתֶ֑יךָ וְסָ֣ר עֲוֺנֶ֔ךָ וְחַטָּאתְךָ֖ תְּכֻפָּֽר׃

KJV ⁸ Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

MAR ⁸ Puis j'ouïs la voix du Seigneur, disant ; qui enverrai-je, et qui ira pour nous ? et je dis ; me voici, envoie-moi.

VULC ⁸ Et audivi vocem Domini dicentis : [Quem mittam ?
et quis ibit nobis ?] Et dixi : [Ecce ego, mitte me.]

WLC ⁸ וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע אֶת־ ק֤וֹל אֲדֹנָי֙ אֹמֵ֔ר אֶת־ מִ֥י אֶשְׁלַ֖ח וּמִ֣י יֵֽלֶךְ־ לָ֑נוּ וָאֹמַ֖ר הִנְנִ֥י שְׁלָחֵֽנִי׃

KJV ⁹ And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

MAR ⁹ Et il dit ; va, et dis à ce peuple ; En entendant vous entendrez, mais vous ne comprendrez point ; et en voyant vous verrez, mais vous n'apercevrez point.

VULC ⁹ Et dixit : [Vade, et dices populo huic :
Audite audientes, et nolite intelligere ;
et videte visionem, et nolite cognoscere.

WLC ⁹ וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לֵ֥ךְ וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה שִׁמְע֤וּ שָׁמ֙וֹעַ֙ וְאַל־ תָּבִ֔ינוּ וּרְא֥וּ רָא֖וֹ וְאַל־ תֵּדָֽעוּ׃

KJV ¹⁰ Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

MAR ¹⁰ Engraisse le cœur de ce peuple, et rends ses oreilles pesantes, et bouche ses yeux ; de peur qu'il ne voie de ses yeux, et qu'il n'entende de ses oreilles, et que son cœur ne comprenne, et qu'il ne se convertisse, et qu'il ne recouvre la santé.

VULC ¹⁰ Excæca cor populi hujus,
et aures ejus aggrava,
et oculos ejus claude :
ne forte videat oculis suis,
et auribus suis audiat,
et corde suo intelligat,
et convertatur, et sanem eum.]

WLC ¹⁰ הַשְׁמֵן֙ לֵב־ הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה וְאָזְנָ֥יו הַכְבֵּ֖ד וְעֵינָ֣יו הָשַׁ֑ע פֶּן־ יִרְאֶ֨ה בְעֵינָ֜יו וּבְאָזְנָ֣יו יִשְׁמָ֗ע וּלְבָב֥וֹ יָבִ֛ין וָשָׁ֖ב וְרָ֥פָא לֽוֹ׃

KJV ¹¹ Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

MAR ¹¹ Et je dis ; jusques-à quand, Seigneur ? et il répondit : Jusques-à ce que les villes aient été désolées, et qu'il n'y ait plus d'habitants, ni d'homme dans les maisons, et que la terre soit mise en une entière désolation ;

VULC ¹¹ Et dixi : [Usquequo, Domine ?] Et dixit : [Donec desolentur civitates absque habitatore,
et domus sine homine,
et terra relinquetur deserta.

WLC ¹¹ וָאֹמַ֕ר עַד־ מָתַ֖י אֲדֹנָ֑י וַיֹּ֡אמֶר עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁר֩ אִם־ שָׁא֨וּ עָרִ֜ים מֵאֵ֣ין יוֹשֵׁ֗ב וּבָתִּים֙ מֵאֵ֣ין אָדָ֔ם וְהָאֲדָמָ֖ה תִּשָּׁאֶ֥ה שְׁמָמָֽה׃

KJV ¹² And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

MAR ¹² Et que l'Eternel ait dispersé au loin les hommes, et que celle qu'il aura abandonnée ait demeuré longtemps au milieu du pays.

VULC ¹² Et longe faciet Dominus homines,
et multiplicabitur quæ derelicta fuerat in medio terræ.

WLC ¹² וְרִחַ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־ הָאָדָ֑ם וְרַבָּ֥ה הָעֲזוּבָ֖ה בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJV ¹³ But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

MAR ¹³ Toutefois il y en aura encore en elle une dizaine, puis elle sera derechef broutée ; [mais] comme la fermeté des chênes et des rouvres consiste en ce qu'ils rejettent, [ainsi] la semence sainte sera la fermeté.

VULC ¹³ Et adhuc in ea decimatio,
et convertetur, et erit in ostensionem
sicut terebinthus, et sicut quercus quæ expandit ramos suos ;
semen sanctum erit id quod steterit in ea.]

WLC ¹³ וְע֥וֹד בָּהּ֙ עֲשִׂ֣רִיָּ֔ה וְשָׁ֖בָה וְהָיְתָ֣ה לְבָעֵ֑ר כָּאֵלָ֣ה וְכָאַלּ֗וֹן אֲשֶׁ֤ר בְּשַׁלֶּ֙כֶת֙ מַצֶּ֣בֶת בָּ֔ם זֶ֥רַע קֹ֖דֶשׁ מַצַּבְתָּֽהּ׃
