WLC ¹ וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר אֱלֹהִ֔ים אֵ֛ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה לֵאמֹֽר׃

BAN ² Je suis l'Eternel ton Dieu qui t'ai tiré de la terre d'Egypte, d'une maison de servitude.

KJV ² I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

WLC ² אָֽנֹכִ֖י֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑֔יךָ אֲשֶׁ֧ר הוֹצֵאתִ֛יךָ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם מִבֵּ֣֥ית עֲבָדִֽ֑ים׃

BAN ³ Tu n'auras pas d'autres dieux devant ma face.

KJV ³ Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

WLC ³ לֹֽ֣א יִהְיֶֽה־ לְךָ֛֩ אֱלֹהִ֥֨ים אֲחֵרִ֖֜ים עַל־ פָּנָֽ֗יַ

BAN ⁴ Tu ne te feras pas d'image taillée, ni aucune figure de ce qui est dans les cieux en haut, ou de ce qui est sur la terre en bas, ou de ce qui est dans les eaux au-dessous de la terre.

KJV ⁴ Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

WLC ⁴ לֹֽ֣א תַֽעֲשֶׂ֨ה־ לְךָ֥֣ פֶ֣֙סֶל֙ ׀ וְכָל־ תְּמוּנָ֡֔ה אֲשֶׁ֤֣ר בַּשָּׁמַ֣֙יִם֙ ׀ מִמַּ֡֔עַל וַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר֩ בָּאָ֖֨רֶץ מִתַָּ֑֜חַת וַאֲשֶׁ֥֣ר בַּמַּ֖֣יִם ׀ מִתַּ֥֣חַת לָאָֽ֗רֶץ

BAN ⁵ Tu ne te prosterneras point devant elles et tu ne les serviras point ; car je suis l'Eternel ton Dieu, un Dieu jaloux, punissant les crimes des pères sur les fils, sur la troisième et sur la quatrième génération, pour ceux qui me haïssent,

KJV ⁵ Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

WLC ⁵ לֹֽא־ תִשְׁתַּחְוֶ֥֣ה לָהֶ֖ם֮ וְלֹ֣א תָעָבְדֵ֑ם֒ כִּ֣י אָֽנֹכִ֞י יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ אֵ֣ל קַנָּ֔א פֹּ֠קֵד עֲוֺ֨ן אָבֹ֧ת עַל־ בָּנִ֛ים עַל־ שִׁלֵּשִׁ֥ים וְעַל־ רִבֵּעִ֖ים לְשֹׂנְאָֽ֑י׃

BAN ⁶ et traitant avec bonté jusqu'à mille générations ceux qui m'aiment et qui gardent mes commandements.

KJV ⁶ And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

WLC ⁶ וְעֹ֥֤שֶׂה חֶ֖֙סֶד֙ לַאֲלָפִ֑֔ים לְאֹהֲבַ֖י וּלְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י מִצְוֺתָֽי׃

BAN ⁷ Tu ne prendras pas le nom de l'Eternel ton Dieu en vain, car l'Eternel n'absoudra point celui qui prendra son nom en vain.

KJV ⁷ Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

WLC ⁷ לֹ֥א תִשָּׂ֛א אֶת־ שֵֽׁם־ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לַשָּׁ֑וְא כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יְנַקֶּה֙ יְהוָ֔ה אֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁר־ יִשָּׂ֥א אֶת־ שְׁמ֖וֹ לַשָּֽׁוְא׃

BAN ⁸ Souviens-toi du jour du sabbat pour le sanctifier.

KJV ⁸ Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

WLC ⁸ זָכ֛וֹר֩ אֶת־ י֥֨וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֖֜ת לְקַדְּשֽׁ֗וֹ

BAN ⁹ Pendant six jours tu travailleras et tu feras tout ce que tu as à faire.

KJV ⁹ Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

WLC ⁹ שֵׁ֤֣שֶׁת יָמִ֣ים֙ תַּֽעֲבֹ֔ד֮ וְעָשִׂ֖֣יתָ כָּל־ מְלַאכְתֶּֽךָ֒

BAN ¹⁰ Mais le septième jour est un sabbat consacré à l'Eternel ton Dieu ; tu ne feras aucun ouvrage, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton serviteur, ni ta servante, ni ta bête, ni l'étranger qui est dans tes portes ;

KJV ¹⁰ But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

WLC ¹⁰ וְי֙וֹם֙ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔֜י שַׁבָּ֖֣ת ׀ לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑֗יךָ לֹֽ֣א־ תַעֲשֶׂ֣֨ה כָל־ מְלָאכָ֡֜ה אַתָּ֣ה ׀ וּבִנְךָֽ֣־ וּ֠בִתֶּ֗ךָ עַבְדְּךָ֤֨ וַאֲמָֽתְךָ֜֙ וּבְהֶמְתֶּ֔֗ךָ וְגֵרְךָ֖֙ אֲשֶׁ֥֣ר בִּשְׁעָרֶֽ֔יךָ

BAN ¹¹ car pendant six jours l'Eternel a fait les cieux, la terre, la mer, et tout ce qu'ils contiennent, et il s'est reposé le septième jour ; c'est pourquoi l'Eternel a béni le jour du sabbat et l'a sanctifié.

KJV ¹¹ For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

WLC ¹¹ כִּ֣י שֵֽׁשֶׁת־ יָמִים֩ עָשָׂ֨ה יְהוָ֜ה אֶת־ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם וְאֶת־ הָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת־ הַיָּם֙ וְאֶת־ כָּל־ אֲשֶׁר־ בָּ֔ם וַיָּ֖נַח בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֑י עַל־ כֵּ֗ן בֵּרַ֧ךְ יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־ י֥וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֖ת וַֽיְקַדְּשֵֽׁהוּ׃

BAN ¹² Honore ton père et ta mère afin que tes jours soient prolongés sur la terre que l'Eternel ton Dieu te donne.

KJV ¹² Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

WLC ¹² כַּבֵּ֥ד אֶת־ אָבִ֖יךָ וְאֶת־ אִמֶּ֑ךָ לְמַ֙עַן֙ יַאֲרִכ֣וּן יָמֶ֔יךָ עַ֚ל הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לָֽךְ׃

BAN ¹³ Tu ne commettras pas de meurtre.

KJV ¹³ Thou shalt not kill.

BAN ¹⁴ Tu ne commettras pas d'adultère.

BAN ¹⁵ Tu ne déroberas pas.

KJV ¹⁵ Thou shalt not steal.

WLC ¹⁵ לֹ֣֖א תִּֿגְנֹֽ֔ב׃

BAN ¹⁶ Tu ne déposeras pas comme faux témoin contre ton prochain.

KJV ¹⁶ Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

WLC ¹⁶ לֹֽא־ תַעֲנֶ֥ה בְרֵעֲךָ֖ עֵ֥ד שָֽׁקֶר׃

BAN ¹⁷ Tu ne convoiteras pas la maison de ton prochain. Tu ne convoiteras pas la femme de ton prochain, ni son serviteur, ni sa servante, ni son boeuf, ni son âne, ni rien de ce qui est à ton prochain.

KJV ¹⁷ Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

WLC ¹⁷ לֹ֥א תַחְמֹ֖ד בֵּ֣ית רֵעֶ֑ךָ לֹֽא־ תַחְמֹ֞ד אֵ֣שֶׁת רֵעֶ֗ךָ וְעַבְדּ֤וֹ וַאֲמָתוֹ֙ וְשׁוֹר֣וֹ וַחֲמֹר֔וֹ וְכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְרֵעֶֽךָ׃

BAN ¹⁸ Et tout le peuple voyait et entendait le tonnerre, les éclairs, le son du cor, la montagne fumante. Et le peuple, à cette vue, trembla et se tint à distance,

KJV ¹⁸ And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

WLC ¹⁸ וְכָל־ הָעָם֩ רֹאִ֨ים אֶת־ הַקּוֹלֹ֜ת וְאֶת־ הַלַּפִּידִ֗ם וְאֵת֙ ק֣וֹל הַשֹּׁפָ֔ר וְאֶת־ הָהָ֖ר עָשֵׁ֑ן וַיַּ֤רְא הָעָם֙ וַיָּנֻ֔עוּ וַיַּֽעַמְד֖וּ מֵֽרָחֹֽק׃

BAN ¹⁹ et il dit à Moïse : Parle, toi, avec nous, et que nous écoutions ; et que Dieu ne parle pas avec nous, de peur que nous ne mourions.

KJV ¹⁹ And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

WLC ¹⁹ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה דַּבֵּר־ אַתָּ֥ה עִמָּ֖נוּ וְנִשְׁמָ֑עָה וְאַל־ יְדַבֵּ֥ר עִמָּ֛נוּ אֱלֹהִ֖ים פֶּן־ נָמֽוּת׃

BAN ²⁰ Et Moïse dit au peuple : Ne craignez pas, car c'est pour vous mettre à l'épreuve que Dieu est venu, et c'est pour que sa crainte vous soit présente, afin que vous ne péchiez pas.

KJV ²⁰ And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

WLC ²⁰ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶל־ הָעָם֮ אַל־ תִּירָאוּ֒ כִּ֗י לְבַֽעֲבוּר֙ נַסּ֣וֹת אֶתְכֶ֔ם בָּ֖א הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וּבַעֲב֗וּר תִּהְיֶ֧ה יִרְאָת֛וֹ עַל־ פְּנֵיכֶ֖ם לְבִלְתִּ֥י תֶחֱטָֽאוּ׃

BAN ²¹ Et le peuple resta à distance. Mais Moïse s'approcha de la nuée épaisse où était Dieu.

KJV ²¹ And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

WLC ²¹ וַיַּעֲמֹ֥ד הָעָ֖ם מֵרָחֹ֑ק וּמֹשֶׁה֙ נִגַּ֣שׁ אֶל־ הָֽעֲרָפֶ֔ל אֲשֶׁר־ שָׁ֖ם הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃

BAN ²² Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse :
Tu parleras ainsi aux fils d'Israël : Vous avez vu vous-mêmes que je vous ai parlé du haut des cieux.

KJV ²² And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

WLC ²² וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֹּ֥ה תֹאמַ֖ר אֶל־ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אַתֶּ֣ם רְאִיתֶ֔ם כִּ֚י מִן־ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי עִמָּכֶֽם׃

BAN ²³ Vous ne ferez point de dieux à côté de moi, vous ne vous ferez point de dieux d'argent et vous ne vous ferez point de dieux d'or.

KJV ²³ Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

WLC ²³ לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּן אִתִּ֑י אֱלֹ֤הֵי כֶ֙סֶף֙ וֵאלֹהֵ֣י זָהָ֔ב לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ לָכֶֽם׃

BAN ²⁴ Tu me feras un autel de terre, sur lequel tu immoleras tes holocaustes et tes sacrifices de reconnaissance, ton menu bétail et ton gros bétail ; en quelque lieu que je fasse souvenir de mon nom, je viendrai à toi et te bénirai.

KJV ²⁴ An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

WLC ²⁴ מִזְבַּ֣ח אֲדָמָה֮ תַּעֲשֶׂה־ לִּי֒ וְזָבַחְתָּ֣ עָלָ֗יו אֶת־ עֹלֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ וְאֶת־ שְׁלָמֶ֔יךָ אֶת־ צֹֽאנְךָ֖ וְאֶת־ בְּקָרֶ֑ךָ בְּכָל־ הַמָּקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַזְכִּ֣יר אֶת־ שְׁמִ֔י אָב֥וֹא אֵלֶ֖יךָ וּבֵרַכְתִּֽיךָ׃

BAN ²⁵ Et si tu me fais un autel de pierres, tu ne le construiras point en pierres de taille ; car, en levant le fer sur elles, tu les aurais rendues profanes.

KJV ²⁵ And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

WLC ²⁵ וְאִם־ מִזְבַּ֤ח אֲבָנִים֙ תַּֽעֲשֶׂה־ לִּ֔י לֹֽא־ תִבְנֶ֥ה אֶתְהֶ֖ן גָּזִ֑ית כִּ֧י חַרְבְּךָ֛ הֵנַ֥פְתָּ עָלֶ֖יהָ וַתְּחַֽלְלֶֽהָ׃

BAN ²⁶ Et tu ne monteras point à mon autel par des degrés, afin que ta nudité ne soit pas découverte sur lui.

KJV ²⁶ Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

WLC ²⁶ וְלֹֽא־ תַעֲלֶ֥ה בְמַעֲלֹ֖ת עַֽל־ מִזְבְּחִ֑י אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹֽא־ תִגָּלֶ֥ה עֶרְוָתְךָ֖ עָלָֽיו׃
