KJV ² And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.

KJV ⁴ And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

KJV ⁵ And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

KJV ⁷ Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

KJV ¹⁰ And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

OST ¹⁰ Et l'Éternel répondit: Voici, je traite une alliance. Je ferai, devant tout ton peuple, des merveilles qui n'ont point été faites sur toute la terre, ni chez aucune nation; et tout le peuple au milieu duquel tu te trouves, verra l'oeuvre de l'Éternel; car ce que je vais faire avec toi, sera une chose terrible.

KJV ¹¹ Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

KJV ¹² Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

KJV ²³ Thrice in the year shall all your menchildren appear before the LORD God, the God of Israel.

KJV ²⁵ Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

WLC ²⁷ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כְּתָב־ לְךָ֖ אֶת־ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה כִּ֞י עַל־ פִּ֣י ׀ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֗לֶּה כָּרַ֧תִּי אִתְּךָ֛ בְּרִ֖ית וְאֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ²⁸ And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

OST ²⁸ Et Moïse fut là avec l'Éternel quarante jours et quarante nuits; il ne mangea point de pain et ne but point d'eau; et l'Éternel écrivit sur les tables les paroles de l'alliance, les dix paroles.

VULC ²⁸ Fuit ergo ibi cum Domino quadraginta dies et quadraginta noctes : panem non comedit, et aquam non bibit, et scripsit in tabulis verba fœderis decem.

WLC ²⁸ וַֽיְהִי־ שָׁ֣ם עִם־ יְהוָ֗ה אַרְבָּעִ֥ים יוֹם֙ וְאַרְבָּעִ֣ים לַ֔יְלָה לֶ֚חֶם לֹ֣א אָכַ֔ל וּמַ֖יִם לֹ֣א שָׁתָ֑ה וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב עַל־ הַלֻּחֹ֗ת אֵ֚ת דִּבְרֵ֣י הַבְּרִ֔ית עֲשֶׂ֖רֶת הַדְּבָרִֽים׃

KJV ²⁹ And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

OST ²⁹ Or, lorsque Moïse descendit de la montagne de Sinaï, les deux tables du Témoignage étant dans la main de Moïse, qui descendait de la montagne, Moïse ne savait point que la peau de son visage était devenue rayonnante, pendant qu'il parlait avec Dieu.

VULC ²⁹ Cumque descenderet Moyses de monte Sinai, tenebat duas tabulas testimonii, et ignorabat quod cornuta esset facies sua ex consortio sermonis Domini.

WLC ²⁹ וַיְהִ֗י בְּרֶ֤דֶת מֹשֶׁה֙ מֵהַ֣ר סִינַ֔י וּשְׁנֵ֨י לֻחֹ֤ת הָֽעֵדֻת֙ בְּיַד־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה בְּרִדְתּ֖וֹ מִן־ הָהָ֑ר וּמֹשֶׁ֣ה לֹֽא־ יָדַ֗ע כִּ֥י קָרַ֛ן ע֥וֹר פָּנָ֖יו בְּדַבְּר֥וֹ אִתּֽוֹ׃

KJV ³⁰ And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

OST ³⁰ Mais Aaron et tous les enfants d'Israël virent Moïse, et voici, la peau de son visage rayonnait, et ils craignirent d'approcher de lui.

KJV ³¹ And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.

OST ³¹ Alors Moïse les appela, et Aaron et tous les principaux de l'assemblée revinrent vers lui, et Moïse leur parla.

KJV ³² And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.

OST ³² Après cela, tous les enfants d'Israël s'approchèrent, et il leur commanda tout ce que l'Éternel lui avait dit sur le mont Sinaï.

VULC ³² venerunt ad eum etiam omnes filii Israël : quibus præcepit cuncta quæ audierat a Domino in monte Sinai.

WLC ³² וְאַחֲרֵי־ כֵ֥ן נִגְּשׁ֖וּ כָּל־ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיְצַוֵּ֕ם אֵת֩ כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אִתּ֖וֹ בְּהַ֥ר סִינָֽי׃

KJV ³³ And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.

OST ³³ Moïse acheva de parler avec eux; et il mit un voile sur sa face.

VULC ³³ Impletisque sermonibus, posuit velamen super faciem suam.

WLC ³³ וַיְכַ֣ל מֹשֶׁ֔ה מִדַּבֵּ֖ר אִתָּ֑ם וַיִּתֵּ֥ן עַל־ פָּנָ֖יו מַסְוֶֽה׃

KJV ³⁴ But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.

OST ³⁴ Et quand Moïse entrait devant l'Éternel pour parler avec lui, il ôtait le voile jusqu'à ce qu'il sortît; puis il sortait et disait aux enfants d'Israël ce qui lui avait été commandé.

VULC ³⁴ Quod ingressus ad Dominum, et loquens cum eo, auferebat donec exiret, et tunc loquebatur ad filios Israël omnia quæ sibi fuerant imperata.

WLC ³⁴ וּבְבֹ֨א מֹשֶׁ֜ה לִפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ לְדַבֵּ֣ר אִתּ֔וֹ יָסִ֥יר אֶת־ הַמַּסְוֶ֖ה עַד־ צֵאת֑וֹ וְיָצָ֗א וְדִבֶּר֙ אֶל־ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֵ֖ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְצֻוֶּֽה׃

KJV ³⁵ And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

OST ³⁵ Et les enfants d'Israël voyaient que le visage de Moïse, la peau du visage de Moïse, rayonnait; et Moïse remettait le voile sur son visage, jusqu'à ce qu'il entrât, pour parler avec l'Éternel.

WLC ³⁵ וְרָא֤וּ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֔ה כִּ֣י קָרַ֔ן ע֖וֹר פְּנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֑ה וְהֵשִׁ֨יב מֹשֶׁ֤ה אֶת־ הַמַּסְוֶה֙ עַל־ פָּנָ֔יו עַד־ בֹּא֖וֹ לְדַבֵּ֥ר אִתּֽוֹ׃
