Exode 9KJV 1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
VULC 1 Dixit autem Dominus ad Moysen : Ingredere ad Pharaonem, et loquere ad eum : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Hebræorum : Dimitte populum meum ut sacrificet mihi.
WLC 1 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה בֹּ֖א אֶל־ פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־ עַמִּ֖י וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃
KJV 2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
VULC 2 Quod si adhuc renuis, et retines eos,
WLC 2 כִּ֛י אִם־ מָאֵ֥ן אַתָּ֖ה לְשַׁלֵּ֑חַ וְעוֹדְךָ֖ מַחֲזִ֥יק בָּֽם׃
KJV 3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
VULC 3 ecce manus mea erit super agros tuos, et super equos, et asinos, et camelos, et boves, et oves, pestis valde gravis.
WLC 3 הִנֵּ֨ה יַד־ יְהוָ֜ה הוֹיָ֗ה בְּמִקְנְךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה בַּסּוּסִ֤ים בַּֽחֲמֹרִים֙ בַּגְּמַלִּ֔ים בַּבָּקָ֖ר וּבַצֹּ֑אן דֶּ֖בֶר כָּבֵ֥ד מְאֹֽד׃
KJV 4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
VULC 4 Et faciet Dominus mirabile inter possessiones Israël et possessiones Ægyptiorum, ut nihil omnino pereat ex eis quæ pertinent ad filios Israël.
WLC 4 וְהִפְלָ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה בֵּ֚ין מִקְנֵ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּבֵ֖ין מִקְנֵ֣ה מִצְרָ֑יִם וְלֹ֥א יָמ֛וּת מִכָּל־ לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל דָּבָֽר׃
KJV 5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
VULC 5 Constituitque Dominus tempus, dicens : Cras faciet Dominus verbum istud in terra.
WLC 5 וַיָּ֥שֶׂם יְהוָ֖ה מוֹעֵ֣ד לֵאמֹ֑ר מָחָ֗ר יַעֲשֶׂ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּ֖ה בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
KJV 6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
VULC 6 Fecit ergo Dominus verbum hoc altera die : mortuaque sunt omnia animantia Ægyptiorum ; de animalibus vero filiorum Israël, nihil omnino periit.
WLC 6 וַיַּ֨עַשׂ יְהוָ֜ה אֶת־ הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת וַיָּ֕מָת כֹּ֖ל מִקְנֵ֣ה מִצְרָ֑יִם וּמִמִּקְנֵ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֹא־ מֵ֥ת אֶחָֽד׃
KJV 7 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
VULC 7 Et misit Pharao ad videndum : nec erat quidquam mortuum de his quæ possidebat Israël. Ingravatumque est cor Pharaonis, et non dimisit populum.
WLC 7 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְהִנֵּ֗ה לֹא־ מֵ֛ת מִמִּקְנֵ֥ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עַד־ אֶחָ֑ד וַיִּכְבַּד֙ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח אֶת־ הָעָֽם׃
KJV 8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
VULC 8 Et dixit Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron : Tollite plenas manus cineris de camino, et spargat illum Moyses in cælum coram Pharaone.
WLC 8 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָה֮ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאֶֽל־ אַהֲרֹן֒ קְח֤וּ לָכֶם֙ מְלֹ֣א חָפְנֵיכֶ֔ם פִּ֖יחַ כִּבְשָׁ֑ן וּזְרָק֥וֹ מֹשֶׁ֛ה הַשָּׁמַ֖יְמָה לְעֵינֵ֥י פַרְעֹֽה׃
KJV 9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
VULC 9 Sitque pulvis super omnem terram Ægypti : erunt enim in hominibus et jumentis ulcera, et vesicæ turgentes in universa terra Ægypti.
WLC 9 וְהָיָ֣ה לְאָבָ֔ק עַ֖ל כָּל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְהָיָ֨ה עַל־ הָאָדָ֜ם וְעַל־ הַבְּהֵמָ֗ה לִשְׁחִ֥ין פֹּרֵ֛חַ אֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֖ת בְּכָל־ אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
KJV 10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
VULC 10 Tuleruntque cinerem de camino, et steterunt coram Pharaone, et sparsit illum Moyses in cælum : factaque sunt ulcera vesicarum turgentium in hominibus et jumentis :
WLC 10 וַיִּקְח֞וּ אֶת־ פִּ֣יחַ הַכִּבְשָׁ֗ן וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה וַיִּזְרֹ֥ק אֹת֛וֹ מֹשֶׁ֖ה הַשָּׁמָ֑יְמָה וַיְהִ֗י שְׁחִין֙ אֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֔ת פֹּרֵ֕חַ בָּאָדָ֖ם וּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃
KJV 11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
VULC 11 nec poterant malefici stare coram Moyse propter ulcera quæ in illis erant, et in omni terra Ægypti.
WLC 11 וְלֹֽא־ יָכְל֣וּ הַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֗ים לַעֲמֹ֛ד לִפְנֵ֥י מֹשֶׁ֖ה מִפְּנֵ֣י הַשְּׁחִ֑ין כִּֽי־ הָיָ֣ה הַשְּׁחִ֔ין בַּֽחֲרְטֻמִּ֖ם וּבְכָל־ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
KJV 12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
VULC 12 Induravitque Dominus cor Pharaonis, et non audivit eos, sicut locutus est Dominus ad Moysen.
WLC 12 וַיְחַזֵּ֤ק יְהוָה֙ אֶת־ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵהֶ֑ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ מֹשֶֽׁה׃
KJV 13 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
VULC 13 Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen : Mane consurge, et sta coram Pharaone, et dices ad eum : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Hebræorum : Dimitte populum meum ut sacrificet mihi.
WLC 13 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם בַּבֹּ֔קֶר וְהִתְיַצֵּ֖ב לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־ עַמִּ֖י וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃
KJV 14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
VULC 14 Quia in hac vice mittam omnes plagas meas super cor tuum, et super servos tuos, et super populum tuum : ut scias quod non sit similis mei in omni terra.
WLC 14 כִּ֣י ׀ בַּפַּ֣עַם הַזֹּ֗את אֲנִ֨י שֹׁלֵ֜חַ אֶת־ כָּל־ מַגֵּפֹתַי֙ אֶֽל־ לִבְּךָ֔ וּבַעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ וּבְעַמֶּ֑ךָ בַּעֲב֣וּר תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין כָּמֹ֖נִי בְּכָל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃
KJV 15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
VULC 15 Nunc enim extendens manum percutiam te, et populum tuum peste, peribisque de terra.
WLC 15 כִּ֤י עַתָּה֙ שָׁלַ֣חְתִּי אֶת־ יָדִ֔י וָאַ֥ךְ אוֹתְךָ֛ וְאֶֽת־ עַמְּךָ֖ בַּדָּ֑בֶר וַתִּכָּחֵ֖ד מִן־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃
KJV 16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
VULC 16 Idcirco autem posui te, ut ostendam in te fortitudinem meam, et narretur nomen meum in omni terra.
WLC 16 וְאוּלָ֗ם בַּעֲב֥וּר זֹאת֙ הֶעֱמַדְתִּ֔יךָ בַּעֲב֖וּר הַרְאֹתְךָ֣ אֶת־ כֹּחִ֑י וּלְמַ֛עַן סַפֵּ֥ר שְׁמִ֖י בְּכָל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃
KJV 17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
VULC 17 Adhuc retines populum meum, et non vis dimittere eum ?
WLC 17 עוֹדְךָ֖ מִסְתּוֹלֵ֣ל בְּעַמִּ֑י לְבִלְתִּ֖י שַׁלְּחָֽם׃
KJV 18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
VULC 18 En pluam cras hac ipsa hora grandinem multam nimis, qualis non fuit in Ægypto a die qua fundata est, usque in præsens tempus.
WLC 18 הִנְנִ֤י מַמְטִיר֙ כָּעֵ֣ת מָחָ֔ר בָּרָ֖ד כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא־ הָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֙הוּ֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם לְמִן־ הַיּ֥וֹם הִוָּסְדָ֖ה וְעַד־ עָֽתָּה׃
KJV 19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
VULC 19 Mitte ergo jam nunc, et congrega jumenta tua, et omnia quæ habes in agro : homines enim, et jumenta, et universa quæ inventa fuerint foris, nec congregata de agris, cecideritque super ea grando, morientur.
WLC 19 וְעַתָּ֗ה שְׁלַ֤ח הָעֵז֙ אֶֽת־ מִקְנְךָ֔ וְאֵ֛ת כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְךָ֖ בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה כָּל־ הָאָדָ֨ם וְהַבְּהֵמָ֜ה אֲשֶֽׁר־ יִמָּצֵ֣א בַשָּׂדֶ֗ה וְלֹ֤א יֵֽאָסֵף֙ הַבַּ֔יְתָה וְיָרַ֧ד עֲלֵהֶ֛ם הַבָּרָ֖ד וָמֵֽתוּ׃
KJV 20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
VULC 20 Qui timuit verbum Domini de servis Pharaonis, fecit confugere servos suos et jumenta in domos :
WLC 20 הַיָּרֵא֙ אֶת־ דְּבַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה מֵֽעַבְדֵ֖י פַּרְעֹ֑ה הֵנִ֛יס אֶת־ עֲבָדָ֥יו וְאֶת־ מִקְנֵ֖הוּ אֶל־ הַבָּתִּֽים׃
KJV 21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
VULC 21 qui autem neglexit sermonem Domini, dimisit servos suos et jumenta in agris.
WLC 21 וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־ שָׂ֛ם לִבּ֖וֹ אֶל־ דְּבַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה וַֽיַּעֲזֹ֛ב אֶת־ עֲבָדָ֥יו וְאֶת־ מִקְנֵ֖הוּ בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃
KJV 22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
VULC 22 Et dixit Dominus ad Moysen : Extende manum tuam in cælum, ut fiat grando in universa terra Ægypti super homines, et super jumenta, et super omnem herbam agri in terra Ægypti.
WLC 22 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁה נְטֵ֤ה אֶת־ יָֽדְךָ֙ עַל־ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וִיהִ֥י בָרָ֖ד בְּכָל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם עַל־ הָאָדָ֣ם וְעַל־ הַבְּהֵמָ֗ה וְעַ֛ל כָּל־ עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
KJV 23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
VULC 23 Extenditque Moyses virgam in cælum, et Dominus dedit tonitrua, et grandinem, ac discurrentia fulgura super terram : pluitque Dominus grandinem super terram Ægypti.
WLC 23 וַיֵּ֨ט מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶת־ מַטֵּהוּ֮ עַל־ הַשָּׁמַיִם֒ וַֽיהוָ֗ה נָתַ֤ן קֹלֹת֙ וּבָרָ֔ד וַתִּ֥הֲלַךְ אֵ֖שׁ אָ֑רְצָה וַיַּמְטֵ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה בָּרָ֖ד עַל־ אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
KJV 24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
VULC 24 Et grando et ignis mista pariter ferebantur : tantæque fuit magnitudinis, quanta ante numquam apparuit in universa terra Ægypti ex quo gens illa condita est.
WLC 24 וַיְהִ֣י בָרָ֔ד וְאֵ֕שׁ מִתְלַקַּ֖חַת בְּת֣וֹךְ הַבָּרָ֑ד כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹֽא־ הָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֙הוּ֙ בְּכָל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם מֵאָ֖ז הָיְתָ֥ה לְגֽוֹי׃
KJV 25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
VULC 25 Et percussit grando in omni terra Ægypti cuncta quæ fuerunt in agris, ab homine usque ad jumentum : cunctamque herbam agri percussit grando, et omne lignum regionis confregit.
WLC 25 וַיַּ֨ךְ הַבָּרָ֜ד בְּכָל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֗יִם אֵ֚ת כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה מֵאָדָ֖ם וְעַד־ בְּהֵמָ֑ה וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־ עֵ֤שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה֙ הִכָּ֣ה הַבָּרָ֔ד וְאֶת־ כָּל־ עֵ֥ץ הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה שִׁבֵּֽר׃
KJV 26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
VULC 26 Tantum in terra Gessen, ubi erant filii Israël, grando non cecidit.
WLC 26 רַ֚ק בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גֹּ֔שֶׁן אֲשֶׁר־ שָׁ֖ם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לֹ֥א הָיָ֖ה בָּרָֽד׃
KJV 27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
VULC 27 Misitque Pharao, et vocavit Moysen et Aaron, dicens ad eos : Peccavi etiam nunc : Dominus justus ; ego et populus meus, impii.
WLC 27 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח פַּרְעֹ֗ה וַיִּקְרָא֙ לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֔ן וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֖ם חָטָ֣אתִי הַפָּ֑עַם יְהוָה֙ הַצַּדִּ֔יק וַאֲנִ֥י וְעַמִּ֖י הָרְשָׁעִֽים׃
KJV 28 Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
VULC 28 Orate Dominum ut desinant tonitrua Dei, et grando : ut dimittam vos, et nequaquam hic ultra maneatis.
WLC 28 הַעְתִּ֙ירוּ֙ אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה וְרַ֕ב מִֽהְיֹ֛ת קֹלֹ֥ת אֱלֹהִ֖ים וּבָרָ֑ד וַאֲשַׁלְּחָ֣ה אֶתְכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א תֹסִפ֖וּן לַעֲמֹֽד׃
KJV 29 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.
VULC 29 Ait Moyses : Cum egressus fuero de urbe, extendam palmas meas ad Dominum, et cessabunt tonitrua, et grando non erit, ut scias quia Domini est terra :
WLC 29 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כְּצֵאתִי֙ אֶת־ הָעִ֔יר אֶפְרֹ֥שׂ אֶת־ כַּפַּ֖י אֶל־ יְהוָ֑ה הַקֹּל֣וֹת יֶחְדָּל֗וּן וְהַבָּרָד֙ לֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶה־ ע֔וֹד לְמַ֣עַן תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֥י לַיהוָ֖ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃
KJV 30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
VULC 30 novi autem quod et tu et servi tui necdum timeatis Dominum Deum.
WLC 30 וְאַתָּ֖ה וַעֲבָדֶ֑יךָ יָדַ֕עְתִּי כִּ֚י טֶ֣רֶם תִּֽירְא֔וּן מִפְּנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃
KJV 31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
VULC 31 Linum ergo et hordeum læsum est, eo quod hordeum esset virens, et linum jam folliculos germinaret :
WLC 31 וְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֥ה וְהַשְּׂעֹרָ֖ה נֻכָּ֑תָה כִּ֤י הַשְּׂעֹרָה֙ אָבִ֔יב וְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֖ה גִּבְעֹֽל׃
KJV 32 But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
VULC 32 triticum autem et far non sunt læsa, quia serotina erant.
WLC 32 וְהַחִטָּ֥ה וְהַכֻּסֶּ֖מֶת לֹ֣א נֻכּ֑וּ כִּ֥י אֲפִילֹ֖ת הֵֽנָּה׃
KJV 33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
VULC 33 Egressusque Moyses a Pharaone ex urbe, tetendit manus ad Dominum : et cessaverunt tonitrua et grando, nec ultra stillavit pluvia super terram.
WLC 33 וַיֵּצֵ֨א מֹשֶׁ֜ה מֵעִ֤ם פַּרְעֹה֙ אֶת־ הָעִ֔יר וַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂ כַּפָּ֖יו אֶל־ יְהוָ֑ה וַֽיַּחְדְּל֤וּ הַקֹּלוֹת֙ וְהַבָּרָ֔ד וּמָטָ֖ר לֹא־ נִתַּ֥ךְ אָֽרְצָה׃
KJV 34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
VULC 34 Videns autem Pharao quod cessasset pluvia, et grando, et tonitrua, auxit peccatum :
WLC 34 וַיַּ֣רְא פַּרְעֹ֗ה כִּֽי־ חָדַ֨ל הַמָּטָ֧ר וְהַבָּרָ֛ד וְהַקֹּלֹ֖ת וַיֹּ֣סֶף לַחֲטֹ֑א וַיַּכְבֵּ֥ד לִבּ֖וֹ ה֥וּא וַעֲבָדָֽיו׃
KJV 35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
VULC 35 et ingravatum est cor ejus, et servorum illius, et induratum nimis : nec dimisit filios Israël, sicut præceperat Dominus per manum Moysi.
