KJV ¹ The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,

WLC ¹ וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

KJV ² What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?

MAR ² Que voulez-vous dire, vous qui usez ordinairement de ce proverbe touchant le pays d'Israël, en disant : les pères ont mangé le verjus et les dents des enfants en sont agacées ?

VULC ² Quid est quod inter vos parabolam vertitis in proverbium istud in terra Israël, dicentes : Patres comederunt uvam acerbam, et dentes filiorum obstupescunt ?

WLC ² מַה־ לָּכֶ֗ם אַתֶּם֙ מֹֽשְׁלִים֙ אֶת־ הַמָּשָׁ֣ל הַזֶּ֔ה עַל־ אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר אָבוֹת֙ יֹ֣אכְלוּ בֹ֔סֶר וְשִׁנֵּ֥י הַבָּנִ֖ים תִּקְהֶֽינָה׃

KJV ³ As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.

MAR ³ Je [suis] vivant, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel, que vous n'userez plus de ce proverbe en Israël.

VULC ³ Vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, si erit ultra vobis parabola hæc in proverbium in Israël.

WLC ³ חַי־ אָ֕נִי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה אִם־ יִֽהְיֶ֨ה לָכֶ֜ם ע֗וֹד מְשֹׁ֛ל הַמָּשָׁ֥ל הַזֶּ֖ה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ⁴ Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

MAR ⁴ Voici, toutes les âmes sont à moi ; l'âme de l'enfant est à moi comme l'âme du père ; [et] l'âme qui péchera [sera] celle [qui] mourra.

VULC ⁴ Ecce omnes animæ meæ sunt : ut anima patris, ita et anima filii mea est : anima quæ peccaverit, ipsa morietur.

WLC ⁴ הֵ֤ן כָּל־ הַנְּפָשׁוֹת֙ לִ֣י הֵ֔נָּה כְּנֶ֧פֶשׁ הָאָ֛ב וּכְנֶ֥פֶשׁ הַבֵּ֖ן לִי־ הֵ֑נָּה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַחֹטֵ֖את הִ֥יא תָמֽוּת׃

KJV ⁵ But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,

MAR ⁵ Mais l'homme qui sera juste, et qui fera ce qui est juste et droit ;

VULC ⁵ Et vir si fuerit justus, et fecerit judicium et justitiam,

WLC ⁵ וְאִ֖ישׁ כִּי־ יִהְיֶ֣ה צַדִּ֑יק וְעָשָׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָֽה׃

KJV ⁶ And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,

MAR ⁶ Qui n'aura point mangé sur les montagnes, et qui n'aura point levé ses yeux vers les idoles de la maison d'Israël, et n'aura point souillé la femme de son prochain, et ne se sera point approché de la femme dans son état d'impureté,

VULC ⁶ in montibus non comederit, et oculos suos non levaverit ad idola domus Israël : et uxorem proximi sui non violaverit, et ad mulierem menstruatam non accesserit :

WLC ⁶ אֶל־ הֶֽהָרִים֙ לֹ֣א אָכָ֔ל וְעֵינָיו֙ לֹ֣א נָשָׂ֔א אֶל־ גִּלּוּלֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאֶת־ אֵ֤שֶׁת רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ לֹ֣א טִמֵּ֔א וְאֶל־ אִשָּׁ֥ה נִדָּ֖ה לֹ֥א יִקְרָֽב׃

KJV ⁷ And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;

MAR ⁷ Et qui n'aura foulé personne, qui aura rendu le gage à son débiteur, qui n'aura point ravi le bien d'autrui, qui aura donné de son pain à celui qui avait faim, et qui aura couvert d'un vêtement celui qui était nu ;

VULC ⁷ et hominem non contristaverit, pignus debitori reddiderit, per vim nihil rapuerit : panem suum esurienti dederit, et nudum operuerit vestimento :

WLC ⁷ וְאִישׁ֙ לֹ֣א יוֹנֶ֔ה חֲבֹלָת֥וֹ חוֹב֙ יָשִׁ֔יב גְּזֵלָ֖ה לֹ֣א יִגְזֹ֑ל לַחְמוֹ֙ לְרָעֵ֣ב יִתֵּ֔ן וְעֵירֹ֖ם יְכַסֶּה־ בָּֽגֶד׃

KJV ⁸ He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,

MAR ⁸ Qui n'aura point prêté à usure, et n'aura point pris de surcroît ; qui aura détourné sa main de l'iniquité ; qui aura rendu un droit jugement entre les parties qui plaident ensemble,

VULC ⁸ ad usuram non commodaverit, et amplius non acceperit : ab iniquitate averterit manum suam, et judicium verum fecerit inter virum et virum :

WLC ⁸ בַּנֶּ֣שֶׁךְ לֹֽא־ יִתֵּ֗ן וְתַרְבִּית֙ לֹ֣א יִקָּ֔ח מֵעָ֖וֶל יָשִׁ֣יב יָד֑וֹ מִשְׁפַּ֤ט אֱמֶת֙ יַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה בֵּ֥ין אִ֖ישׁ לְאִֽישׁ׃

KJV ⁹ Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.

MAR ⁹ Qui aura marché dans mes statuts, et aura gardé mes ordonnances pour agir en vérité, celui-là est juste ; certainement il vivra, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.

VULC ⁹ in præceptis meis ambulaverit, et judicia mea custodierit, ut faciat veritatem : hic justus est ; vita vivet, ait Dominus Deus.

WLC ⁹ בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֧י יְהַלֵּ֛ךְ וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֥י שָׁמַ֖ר לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת אֱמֶ֑ת צַדִּ֥יק הוּא֙ חָיֹ֣ה יִֽחְיֶ֔ה נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

KJV ¹⁰ If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,

MAR ¹⁰ Que s'il a engendré un enfant qui soit un meurtrier, répandant le sang, et commettant des choses semblables ;

VULC ¹⁰ Quod si genuerit filium latronem, effundentem sanguinem, et fecerit unum de istis :

WLC ¹⁰ וְהוֹלִ֥יד בֵּן־ פָּרִ֖יץ שֹׁפֵ֣ךְ דָּ֑ם וְעָ֣שָׂה אָ֔ח מֵאַחַ֖ד מֵאֵֽלֶּה׃

KJV ¹¹ And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,

MAR ¹¹ Et qui ne fasse aucune de ces choses, [que j'ai commandées], mais qu'il mange sur les montagnes, qu'il corrompe la femme de son prochain,

VULC ¹¹ et hæc quidem omnia non facientem, sed in montibus comedentem, et uxorem proximi sui polluentem :

WLC ¹¹ וְה֕וּא אֶת־ כָּל־ אֵ֖לֶּה לֹ֣א עָשָׂ֑ה כִּ֣י גַ֤ם אֶל־ הֶֽהָרִים֙ אָכַ֔ל וְאֶת־ אֵ֥שֶׁת רֵעֵ֖הוּ טִמֵּֽא׃

KJV ¹² Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,

MAR ¹² Qu'il foule l'affligé, et le pauvre, qu'il ravisse le bien d'autrui, et qu'il ne rende point le gage, qu'il lève ses yeux vers les idoles et commette des abominations ;

VULC ¹² egenum et pauperem contristantem, rapientem rapinas, pignus non reddentem, et ad idola levantem oculos suos, abominationem facientem :

WLC ¹² עָנִ֤י וְאֶבְיוֹן֙ הוֹנָ֔ה גְּזֵל֣וֹת גָּזָ֔ל חֲבֹ֖ל לֹ֣א יָשִׁ֑יב וְאֶל־ הַגִּלּוּלִים֙ נָשָׂ֣א עֵינָ֔יו תּוֹעֵבָ֖ה עָשָֽׂה׃

KJV ¹³ Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

MAR ¹³ Qu'il donne à usure, et qu'il prenne du surcroît : vivra-t-il ? Il ne vivra pas, quand il aura commis toutes ces abominations, on le fera mourir de mort, et son sang sera sur lui.

VULC ¹³ ad usuram dantem, et amplius accipientem : numquid vivet ? Non vivet : cum universa hæc detestanda fecerit, morte morietur ; sanguis ejus in ipso erit.

WLC ¹³ בַּנֶּ֧שֶׁךְ נָתַ֛ן וְתַרְבִּ֥ית לָקַ֖ח וָחָ֑י לֹ֣א יִֽחְיֶ֗ה אֵ֣ת כָּל־ הַתּוֹעֵב֤וֹת הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ עָשָׂ֔ה מ֣וֹת יוּמָ֔ת דָּמָ֖יו בּ֥וֹ יִהְיֶֽה׃

KJV ¹⁴ Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,

MAR ¹⁴ Mais s'il engendre un fils qui voyant tous les péchés que son père aura commis, y prenne garde, et ne fasse pas de semblables choses ;

VULC ¹⁴ Quod si genuerit filium, qui videns omnia peccata patris sui quæ fecit, timuerit, et non fecerit simile eis :

WLC ¹⁴ וְהִנֵּה֙ הוֹלִ֣יד בֵּ֔ן וַיַּ֕רְא אֶת־ כָּל־ חַטֹּ֥את אָבִ֖יו אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה וַיִּרְאֶ֕ה וְלֹ֥א יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה כָּהֵֽן׃

KJV ¹⁵ That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour's wife,

KJV ¹⁶ Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,

VULC ¹⁶ et virum non contristaverit, pignus non retinuerit, et rapinam non rapuerit : panem suum esurienti dederit, et nudum operuerit vestimento :

WLC ¹⁶ וְאִישׁ֙ לֹ֣א הוֹנָ֔ה חֲבֹל֙ לֹ֣א חָבָ֔ל וּגְזֵלָ֖ה לֹ֣א גָזָ֑ל לַחְמוֹ֙ לְרָעֵ֣ב נָתָ֔ן וְעֵר֖וֹם כִּסָּה־ בָֽגֶד׃

KJV ¹⁷ That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

MAR ¹⁷ Qu'il retire sa main de dessus l'affligé, qu'il ne prenne ni usure ni surcroît, qu'il garde mes ordonnances, et qu'il marche dans mes statuts ; il ne mourra point pour l'iniquité de son père, mais certainement il vivra.

VULC ¹⁷ a pauperis injuria averterit manum suam, usuram et superabundantiam non acceperit, judicia mea fecerit, in præceptis meis ambulaverit : hic non morietur in iniquitate patris sui, sed vita vivet.

WLC ¹⁷ מֵעָנִ֞י הֵשִׁ֣יב יָד֗וֹ נֶ֤שֶׁךְ וְתַרְבִּית֙ לֹ֣א לָקָ֔ח מִשְׁפָּטַ֣י עָשָׂ֔ה בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֖י הָלָ֑ךְ ה֗וּא לֹ֥א יָמ֛וּת בַּעֲוֺ֥ן אָבִ֖יו חָיֹ֥ה יִחְיֶֽה׃

KJV ¹⁸ As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

MAR ¹⁸ Mais son père, parce qu'il a usé de fraude, et qu'il a ravi ce qui était à son frère, et fait parmi son peuple ce qui n'est pas bon, voici, il mourra pour son iniquité.

VULC ¹⁸ Pater ejus, quia calumniatus est, et vim fecit fratri, et malum operatus est in medio populi sui, ecce mortuus est in iniquitate sua.

WLC ¹⁸ אָבִ֞יו כִּֽי־ עָ֣שַׁק עֹ֗שֶׁק גָּזַל֙ גֵּ֣זֶל אָ֔ח וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־ ט֛וֹב עָשָׂ֖ה בְּת֣וֹךְ עַמָּ֑יו וְהִנֵּה־ מֵ֖ת בַּעֲוֺנֽוֹ׃

KJV ¹⁹ Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

MAR ¹⁹ Mais, direz-vous : pourquoi un tel fils ne portera-t-il pas l'iniquité de son père ? Parce qu'un tel fils a fait ce qui était juste et droit, et qu'il a gardé tous mes statuts, et les a faits ; certainement il vivra.

VULC ¹⁹ Et dicitis : Quare non portavit filius iniquitatem patris ? Videlicet quia filius judicium et justitiam operatus est, omnia præcepta mea custodivit, et fecit illa, vivet vita.

WLC ¹⁹ וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם מַדֻּ֛עַ לֹא־ נָשָׂ֥א הַבֵּ֖ן בַּעֲוֺ֣ן הָאָ֑ב וְהַבֵּ֞ן מִשְׁפָּ֧ט וּצְדָקָ֣ה עָשָׂ֗ה אֵ֣ת כָּל־ חֻקּוֹתַ֥י שָׁמַ֛ר וַיַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם חָיֹ֥ה יִחְיֶֽה׃

KJV ²⁰ The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

MAR ²⁰ L'âme qui péchera sera celle qui mourra. Le fils ne portera point l'iniquité du père, et le père ne portera point l'iniquité du fils ; la justice du juste sera sur le [juste] ; et la méchanceté du méchant sera sur le [méchant].

VULC ²⁰ Anima quæ peccaverit, ipsa morietur : filius non portabit iniquitatem patris, et pater non portabit iniquitatem filii : justitia justi super eum erit, et impietas impii erit super eum.

WLC ²⁰ הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַחֹטֵ֖את הִ֣יא תָמ֑וּת בֵּ֞ן לֹא־ יִשָּׂ֣א ׀ בַּעֲוֺ֣ן הָאָ֗ב וְאָב֙ לֹ֤א יִשָּׂא֙ בַּעֲוֺ֣ן הַבֵּ֔ן צִדְקַ֤ת הַצַּדִּיק֙ עָלָ֣יו תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְרִשְׁעַ֥ת עָלָ֥יו תִּֽהְיֶֽה׃

KJV ²¹ But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

MAR ²¹ Que si le méchant se détourne de tous ses péchés qu'il aura commis, et qu'il garde tous mes statuts, et fasse ce qui est juste et droit, certainement il vivra, il ne mourra point.

VULC ²¹ Si autem impius egerit pœnitentiam ab omnibus peccatis suis quæ operatus est, et custodierit omnia præcepta mea, et fecerit judicium et justitiam, vita vivet, et non morietur.

WLC ²¹ וְהָרָשָׁ֗ע כִּ֤י יָשׁוּב֙ מִכָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה וְשָׁמַר֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ חֻקּוֹתַ֔י וְעָשָׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָ֑ה חָיֹ֥ה יִחְיֶ֖ה לֹ֥א יָמֽוּת׃

KJV ²² All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

MAR ²² Il ne lui sera point fait mention de tous ses crimes qu'il aura commis, [mais] il vivra pour sa justice, à laquelle il se sera adonné.

VULC ²² Omnium iniquitatum ejus quas operatus est, non recordabor : in justitia sua quam operatus est, vivet.

WLC ²² כָּל־ פְּשָׁעָיו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה לֹ֥א יִזָּכְר֖וּ ל֑וֹ בְּצִדְקָת֥וֹ אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֖ה יִֽחְיֶֽה׃

KJV ²³ Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

MAR ²³ Prendrais-je en aucune manière plaisir à la mort du méchant, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel, et non plutôt qu'il se détourne de son train, et qu'il vive ?

VULC ²³ Numquid voluntatis meæ est mors impii, dicit Dominus Deus, et non ut convertatur a viis suis, et vivat ?

WLC ²³ הֶחָפֹ֤ץ אֶחְפֹּץ֙ מ֣וֹת רָשָׁ֔ע נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה הֲל֛וֹא בְּשׁוּב֥וֹ מִדְּרָכָ֖יו וְחָיָֽה׃

KJV ²⁴ But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

MAR ²⁴ Mais si le juste se détourne de sa justice, et qu'il commette l'iniquité, selon toutes les abominations que le méchant a accoutumé de commettre, vivra-t-il ? il ne sera point fait mention de toutes ses justices qu'il aura faites, à cause de son crime qu'il aura commis, et à cause de son péché qu'il aura fait ; il mourra pour ces choses-là.

VULC ²⁴ Si autem averterit se justus a justitia sua, et fecerit iniquitatem secundum omnes abominationes quas operari solet impius, numquid vivet ? Omnes justitiæ ejus quas fecerat, non recordabuntur : in prævaricatione qua prævaricatus est, et in peccato suo quod peccavit, in ipsis morietur.

WLC ²⁴ וּבְשׁ֨וּב צַדִּ֤יק מִצִּדְקָתוֹ֙ וְעָ֣שָׂה עָ֔וֶל כְּכֹ֨ל הַתּוֹעֵב֜וֹת אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֧ה הָרָשָׁ֛ע יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה וָחָ֑י כָּל־ אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂה֙ לֹ֣א תִזָּכַ֔רְנָה בְּמַעֲל֧וֹ אֲשֶׁר־ מָעַ֛ל וּבְחַטָּאת֥וֹ אֲשֶׁר־ חָטָ֖א בָּ֥ם יָמֽוּת׃

KJV ²⁵ Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

MAR ²⁵ Et vous, vous dites : la voie du Seigneur n'est pas bien réglée. Ecoutez maintenant maison d'Israël ; ma voie n'est-elle pas bien réglée ? ne sont-ce pas plutôt vos voies qui ne sont pas bien réglées ?

VULC ²⁵ Et dixistis : Non est æqua via Domini ! Audite ergo, domus Israël : numquid via mea non est æqua, et non magis viæ vestræ pravæ sunt ?

WLC ²⁵ וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵ֖ן דֶּ֣רֶךְ אֲדֹנָ֑י שִׁמְעוּ־ נָא֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הֲדַרְכִּי֙ לֹ֣א יִתָּכֵ֔ן הֲלֹ֥א דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵֽנוּ׃

KJV ²⁶ When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

MAR ²⁶ Quand le juste se détournera de sa justice, et qu'il commettra l'iniquité, il mourra pour ces choses-là ; il mourra pour son iniquité qu'il aura commise.

VULC ²⁶ Cum enim averterit se justus a justitia sua, et fecerit iniquitatem, morietur in eis : in injustitia quam operatus est morietur.

WLC ²⁶ בְּשׁוּב־ צַדִּ֧יק מִצִּדְקָת֛וֹ וְעָ֥שָׂה עָ֖וֶל וּמֵ֣ת עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם בְּעַוְל֥וֹ אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֖ה יָמֽוּת׃

KJV ²⁷ Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

MAR ²⁷ Et quand le méchant se détournera de sa méchanceté qu'il aura commise, et qu'il fera ce qui est juste et droit, il fera vivre son âme.

VULC ²⁷ Et cum averterit se impius ab impietate sua quam operatus est, et fecerit judicium et justitiam, ipse animam suam vivificabit :

WLC ²⁷ וּבְשׁ֣וּב רָשָׁ֗ע מֵֽרִשְׁעָתוֹ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה וַיַּ֥עַשׂ מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָ֑ה ה֖וּא אֶת־ נַפְשׁ֥וֹ יְחַיֶּֽה׃

KJV ²⁸ Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

MAR ²⁸ Ayant donc considéré [sa conduite], et s'étant détourné de tous ses crimes qu'il aura commis, certainement il vivra, il ne mourra point.

VULC ²⁸ considerans enim, et avertens se ab omnibus iniquitatibus suis quas operatus est, vita vivet, et non morietur.

WLC ²⁸ וַיִּרְאֶ֣ה מִכָּל־ פְּשָׁעָ֖יו אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה חָי֥וֹ יִחְיֶ֖ה לֹ֥א יָמֽוּת׃

KJV ²⁹ Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

MAR ²⁹ Et la maison d'Israël dira : la voie du Seigneur l'Eternel n'est pas bien réglée. Ô maison d'Israël ! mes voies ne sont-elles pas bien réglées ? ne sont-ce pas plutôt vos voies qui ne sont pas bien réglées ?

VULC ²⁹ Et dicunt filii Israël : Non est æqua via Domini ! Numquid viæ meæ non sunt æquæ, domus Israël, et non magis viæ vestræ pravæ ?

WLC ²⁹ וְאָֽמְרוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵ֖ן דֶּ֣רֶךְ אֲדֹנָ֑י הַדְּרָכַ֞י לֹ֤א יִתָּֽכְנּוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הֲלֹ֥א דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵֽן׃

KJV ³⁰ Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

MAR ³⁰ C'est pourquoi je jugerai un chacun de vous selon ses voies, ô maison d'Israël ! dit le Seigneur. Convertissez-vous, et détournez-vous de tous vos péchés, et l'iniquité ne vous sera point en ruine.

VULC ³⁰ Idcirco unumquemque juxta vias suas judicabo, domus Israël, ait Dominus Deus. Convertimini, et agite pœnitentiam ab omnibus iniquitatibus vestris, et non erit vobis in ruinam iniquitas.

WLC ³⁰ לָכֵן֩ אִ֨ישׁ כִּדְרָכָ֜יו אֶשְׁפֹּ֤ט אֶתְכֶם֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה שׁ֤וּבוּ וְהָשִׁ֙יבוּ֙ מִכָּל־ פִּשְׁעֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹֽא־ יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֛ם לְמִכְשׁ֖וֹל עָוֺֽן׃

KJV ³¹ Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

MAR ³¹ Jetez loin de vous tous les crimes par lesquels vous avez péché ; et faites-vous un nouveau coeur, et un esprit nouveau, et pourquoi mourriez-vous, ô maison d'Israël ?

VULC ³¹ Projicite a vobis omnes prævaricationes vestras in quibus prævaricati estis, et facite vobis cor novum, et spiritum novum : et quare moriemini, domus Israël ?

WLC ³¹ הַשְׁלִ֣יכוּ מֵעֲלֵיכֶ֗ם אֶת־ כָּל־ פִּשְׁעֵיכֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר פְּשַׁעְתֶּ֣ם בָּ֔ם וַעֲשׂ֥וּ לָכֶ֛ם לֵ֥ב חָדָ֖שׁ וְר֣וּחַ חֲדָשָׁ֑ה וְלָ֥מָּה תָמֻ֖תוּ בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ³² For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

MAR ³² Car je ne prends point de plaisir à la mort de celui qui meurt, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel. Convertissez-vous donc, et vivez.

VULC ³² Quia nolo mortem morientis, dicit Dominus Deus : revertimini, et vivite.
