DRB ¹ Et il arriva, la septième année*, au cinquième [mois], le dixième [jour] du mois, que des hommes d'entre les anciens d'Israël vinrent pour consulter l'Éternel ; et ils s'assirent devant moi.

DRB ² Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :

KJV ² Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,

WLC ² וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

DRB ³ Fils d'homme, parle aux anciens d'Israël, et dis-leur : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Êtes-vous venus pour me consulter ? Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si je suis consulté par vous !

KJV ³ Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

WLC ³ בֶּן־ אָדָ֗ם דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶת־ זִקְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הֲלִדְרֹ֥שׁ אֹתִ֖י אַתֶּ֣ם בָּאִ֑ים חַי־ אָ֙נִי֙ אִם־ אִדָּרֵ֣שׁ לָכֶ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

DRB ⁴ Les jugeras-tu, les jugeras-tu, fils d'homme ? Fais-leur connaître les abominations de leurs pères, et dis-leur :

KJV ⁴ Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:

WLC ⁴ הֲתִשְׁפֹּ֣ט אֹתָ֔ם הֲתִשְׁפּ֖וֹט בֶּן־ אָדָ֑ם אֶת־ תּוֹעֲבֹ֥ת אֲבוֹתָ֖ם הוֹדִיעֵֽם׃

DRB ⁵ Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Au jour que je choisis Israël, et que je levai ma main à la semence de la maison de Jacob, et que je me fis connaître à eux dans le pays d'Égypte, et que je leur levai ma main, disant :

KJV ⁵ And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;

WLC ⁵ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם כֹּֽה־ אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ בְּיוֹם֙ בָּחֳרִ֣י בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וָאֶשָּׂ֣א יָדִ֗י לְזֶ֙רַע֙ בֵּ֣ית יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב וָאִוָּדַ֥ע לָהֶ֖ם בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וָאֶשָּׂ֨א יָדִ֤י לָהֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

DRB ⁶ Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu, - en ce jour-là je leur levai ma main de les faire sortir du pays d'Égypte [pour les amener] dans le pays sur lequel j'avais jeté les yeux pour eux, [pays] ruisselant de lait et de miel, qui est un ornement entre tous les pays ;

KJV ⁶ In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:

WLC ⁶ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא נָשָׂ֤אתִי יָדִי֙ לָהֶ֔ם לְהֽוֹצִיאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֶל־ אֶ֜רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־ תַּ֣רְתִּי לָהֶ֗ם זָבַ֤ת חָלָב֙ וּדְבַ֔שׁ צְבִ֥י הִ֖יא לְכָל־ הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁷ et je leur dis : Que chacun de vous rejette les abominations que ses yeux regardent*, et ne vous rendez pas impurs par les idoles de l'Égypte. Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu.

KJV ⁷ Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

WLC ⁷ וָאֹמַ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם אִ֣ישׁ שִׁקּוּצֵ֤י עֵינָיו֙ הַשְׁלִ֔יכוּ וּבְגִלּוּלֵ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם אַל־ תִּטַּמָּ֑אוּ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

DRB ⁸ Et ils se rebellèrent contre moi, et ne voulurent pas m'écouter ; aucun d'eux ne rejeta les abominations que ses yeux regardaient*, ni ne quitta les idoles de l'Égypte ; et je dis que je verserais ma fureur sur eux, et que je consommerais ma colère sur eux, au milieu du pays d'Égypte.

KJV ⁸ But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

DRB ⁹ Mais j'ai agi à cause de mon nom, afin de ne pas le profaner aux yeux des nations au milieu desquelles ils étaient, aux yeux desquelles je m'étais fait connaître à eux, en les faisant sortir du pays d'Égypte.

KJV ⁹ But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

DRB ¹⁰ Et je les fis sortir du pays d'Égypte, et les amenai au désert ;

KJV ¹⁰ Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

DRB ¹¹ et je leur donnai mes statuts et leur fis connaître mes ordonnances, - par lesquels, s'il les pratique, un homme vivra.

KJV ¹¹ And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

WLC ¹¹ וָאֶתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֶת־ חֻקּוֹתַ֔י וְאֶת־ מִשְׁפָּטַ֖י הוֹדַ֣עְתִּי אוֹתָ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה אוֹתָ֛ם הָאָדָ֖ם וָחַ֥י בָּהֶֽם׃

DRB ¹² Et je leur donnai aussi mes sabbats, pour être un signe entre moi et eux, afin qu'ils connussent que je suis l'Éternel qui les sanctifie.

KJV ¹² Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

WLC ¹² וְגַ֤ם אֶת־ שַׁבְּתוֹתַי֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לָהֶ֔ם לִהְי֣וֹת לְא֔וֹת בֵּינִ֖י וּבֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם לָדַ֕עַת כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃

DRB ¹³ Et la maison d'Israël se rebella contre moi dans le désert ; ils ne marchèrent pas dans mes statuts, et ils rejetèrent mes ordonnances, - par lesquels, s'il les pratique, un homme vivra ; et ils profanèrent extrêmement mes sabbats ; et je dis que je verserais sur eux ma fureur dans le désert, pour les consumer.

KJV ¹³ But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

DRB ¹⁶ parce qu'ils avaient rejeté mes ordonnances, et qu'ils n'avaient pas marché dans mes statuts, et qu'ils avaient profané mes sabbats ; car leur cœur marchait après leurs idoles.

KJV ¹⁶ Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

WLC ¹⁶ יַ֜עַן בְּמִשְׁפָּטַ֣י מָאָ֗סוּ וְאֶת־ חֻקּוֹתַי֙ לֹא־ הָלְכ֣וּ בָהֶ֔ם וְאֶת־ שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י חִלֵּ֑לוּ כִּ֛י אַחֲרֵ֥י גִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם לִבָּ֥ם הֹלֵֽךְ׃

DRB ¹⁷ Mais mon œil eut compassion d'eux pour ne pas les détruire, et je ne les consumai pas entièrement dans le désert.

KJV ¹⁷ Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

WLC ¹⁷ וַתָּ֧חָס עֵינִ֛י עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מִֽשַּׁחֲתָ֑ם וְלֹֽא־ עָשִׂ֧יתִי אוֹתָ֛ם כָּלָ֖ה בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃

DRB ¹⁸ Et je dis à leurs fils dans le désert : Ne marchez pas dans les statuts de vos pères, et ne gardez point leurs ordonnances, et ne vous rendez pas impurs par leurs idoles.

KJV ¹⁸ But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

KJV ²¹ Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

DRB ²² Mais je retirai ma main ; et j'ai agi à cause de mon nom, afin de ne pas le profaner aux yeux des nations sous les yeux desquelles je les avais fait sortir.

KJV ²² Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

DRB ²³ Je leur levai aussi ma main dans le désert, que je les disperserais parmi les nations et que je les disséminerais dans les pays,

KJV ²³ I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;

WLC ²³ גַּם־ אֲנִ֗י נָשָׂ֧אתִי אֶת־ יָדִ֛י לָהֶ֖ם בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר לְהָפִ֤יץ אֹתָם֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם וּלְזָר֥וֹת אוֹתָ֖ם בָּאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

DRB ²⁴ parce qu'ils ne pratiquaient pas mes ordonnances, et qu'ils rejetaient mes statuts et profanaient mes sabbats, et que leurs yeux étaient après les idoles de leurs pères.

KJV ²⁴ Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

WLC ²⁴ יַ֜עַן מִשְׁפָּטַ֤י לֹֽא־ עָשׂוּ֙ וְחֻקּוֹתַ֣י מָאָ֔סוּ וְאֶת־ שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י חִלֵּ֑לוּ וְאַחֲרֵי֙ גִּלּוּלֵ֣י אֲבוֹתָ֔ם הָי֖וּ עֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

DRB ²⁵ Et moi aussi, je leur donnai des statuts qui n'étaient pas bons et des ordonnances par lesquelles ils ne pouvaient vivre ;

KJV ²⁵ Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;

WLC ²⁵ וְגַם־ אֲנִי֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לָהֶ֔ם חֻקִּ֖ים לֹ֣א טוֹבִ֑ים וּמִ֨שְׁפָּטִ֔ים לֹ֥א יִֽחְי֖וּ בָּהֶֽם׃

DRB ²⁶ et je les rendis impurs dans leurs dons, en ce qu'ils consacraient* tout ce qui ouvrait la matrice, afin que je les misse en désolation, pour qu'ils connussent que je suis l'Éternel.

KJV ²⁶ And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.

WLC ²⁶ וָאֲטַמֵּ֤א אוֹתָם֙ בְּמַתְּנוֹתָ֔ם בְּהַעֲבִ֖יר כָּל־ פֶּ֣טֶר רָ֑חַם לְמַ֣עַן אֲשִׁמֵּ֔ם לְמַ֙עַן֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵֽדְע֔וּ אֲשֶׁ֖ר אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

DRB ²⁷ C'est pourquoi, fils d'homme, parle à la maison d'Israël, et dis-leur : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Encore en ceci vos pères m'ont outragé, en étant infidèles envers moi.

KJV ²⁷ Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

WLC ²⁷ לָכֵ֞ן דַּבֵּ֨ר אֶל־ בֵּ֤ית יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בֶּן־ אָדָ֔ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה ע֗וֹד זֹ֚את גִּדְּפ֤וּ אוֹתִי֙ אֲב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם בְּמַעֲלָ֥ם בִּ֖י מָֽעַל׃

DRB ²⁸ Quand je les introduisis dans le pays touchant lequel j'avais levé ma main de le leur donner, ils ont regardé toute haute colline et tout arbre touffu, et là ils ont offert leurs sacrifices, et là ils ont présenté la provocation de leur offrande*, et là ils ont placé leurs parfums agréables, et là ils ont répandu leurs libations.

KJV ²⁸ For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.

WLC ²⁸ וָאֲבִיאֵם֙ אֶל־ הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָשָׂ֙אתִי֙ אֶת־ יָדִ֔י לָתֵ֥ת אוֹתָ֖הּ לָהֶ֑ם וַיִּרְאוּ֩ כָל־ גִּבְעָ֨ה רָמָ֜ה וְכָל־ עֵ֣ץ עָבֹ֗ת וַיִּזְבְּחוּ־ שָׁ֤ם אֶת־ זִבְחֵיהֶם֙ וַיִּתְּנוּ־ שָׁם֙ כַּ֣עַס קָרְבָּנָ֔ם וַיָּשִׂ֣ימוּ שָׁ֗ם רֵ֚יחַ נִיח֣וֹחֵיהֶ֔ם וַיַּסִּ֥יכוּ שָׁ֖ם אֶת־ נִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃

DRB ²⁹ Et je leur dis : Qu'est-ce que ce haut lieu où vous allez ? et son nom a été appelé Bama*, jusqu'à ce jour.

KJV ²⁹ Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name whereof is called Bamah unto this day.

WLC ²⁹ וָאֹמַ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם מָ֣ה הַבָּמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ אַתֶּ֥ם הַבָּאִ֖ים שָׁ֑ם וַיִּקָּרֵ֤א שְׁמָהּ֙ בָּמָ֔ה עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

DRB ³⁰ C'est pourquoi, dis à la maison d'Israël : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Ne vous rendez-vous pas impurs dans la voie de vos pères, et ne vous prostituez-vous pas après leurs abominations ?

KJV ³⁰ Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?

WLC ³⁰ לָכֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֣ר ׀ אֶל־ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הַבְּדֶ֥רֶךְ אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם אַתֶּ֣ם נִטְמְאִ֑ים וְאַחֲרֵ֥י שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖ם אַתֶּ֥ם זֹנִֽים׃

DRB ³¹ Et quand vous offrez vos dons, en faisant passer vos fils par le feu, vous vous rendez impurs par toutes vos idoles jusqu'à aujourd'hui, - et moi, je serais consulté par vous, maison d'Israël ? Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si je suis consulté par vous !

KJV ³¹ For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

WLC ³¹ וּבִשְׂאֵ֣ת מַתְּנֹֽתֵיכֶ֡ם בְּֽהַעֲבִיר֩ בְּנֵיכֶ֨ם בָּאֵ֜שׁ אַתֶּם֩ נִטְמְאִ֤֨ים לְכָל־ גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶם֙ עַד־ הַיּ֔וֹם וַאֲנִ֛י אִדָּרֵ֥שׁ לָכֶ֖ם בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל חַי־ אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אִם־ אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ לָכֶֽם׃

DRB ³² Et ce qui monte dans votre esprit n'arrivera nullement, en ce que vous dites : Nous serons comme les nations, comme les familles des pays, en servant le bois et la pierre.

KJV ³² And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

WLC ³² וְהָֽעֹלָה֙ עַל־ ר֣וּחֲכֶ֔ם הָי֖וֹ לֹ֣א תִֽהְיֶ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ אַתֶּ֣ם אֹמְרִ֗ים נִֽהְיֶ֤ה כַגּוֹיִם֙ כְּמִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת הָאֲרָצ֔וֹת לְשָׁרֵ֖ת עֵ֥ץ וָאָֽבֶן׃

DRB ³³ Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si je ne règne sur vous avec une main forte et un bras étendu, et avec effusion de fureur,

KJV ³³ As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

WLC ³³ חַי־ אָ֕נִי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה אִם־ לֹ֠א בְּיָ֨ד חֲזָקָ֜ה וּבִזְר֧וֹעַ נְטוּיָ֛ה וּבְחֵמָ֥ה שְׁפוּכָ֖ה אֶמְל֥וֹךְ עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃

DRB ³⁴ et si je ne vous fais sortir d'entre les peuples, et ne vous rassemble hors des pays dans lesquels vous êtes dispersés, avec une main forte et un bras étendu, et avec effusion de fureur,

KJV ³⁴ And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.

WLC ³⁴ וְהוֹצֵאתִ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ מִן־ הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים וְקִבַּצְתִּ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם מִן־ הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר נְפוֹצֹתֶ֖ם בָּ֑ם בְּיָ֤ד חֲזָקָה֙ וּבִזְר֣וֹעַ נְטוּיָ֔ה וּבְחֵמָ֖ה שְׁפוּכָֽה׃

DRB ³⁵ et si je ne vous introduis dans le désert des peuples, et là n'entre en jugement avec vous face à face !

KJV ³⁵ And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

WLC ³⁵ וְהֵבֵאתִ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם אֶל־ מִדְבַּ֖ר הָֽעַמִּ֑ים וְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּ֤י אִתְּכֶם֙ שָׁ֔ם פָּנִ֖ים אֶל־ פָּנִֽים׃

DRB ³⁶ Comme je suis entré en jugement avec vos pères dans le désert du pays d'Égypte, ainsi j'entrerai en jugement avec vous, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel ;

KJV ³⁶ Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.

WLC ³⁶ כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר נִשְׁפַּ֙טְתִּי֙ אֶת־ אֲב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם בְּמִדְבַּ֖ר אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם כֵּ֚ן אִשָּׁפֵ֣ט אִתְּכֶ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

DRB ³⁷ et je vous ferai passer sous la verge, et vous introduirai dans le lien de l'alliance ;

KJV ³⁷ And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

WLC ³⁷ וְהַעֲבַרְתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם תַּ֣חַת הַשָּׁ֑בֶט וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם בְּמָסֹ֥רֶת הַבְּרִֽית׃

DRB ³⁸ et je séparerai d'entre vous les rebelles et ceux qui se sont révoltés contre moi : je les ferai sortir du pays dans lequel ils séjournent, mais ils n'entreront point dans la terre d'Israël ; et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel.

KJV ³⁸ And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

WLC ³⁸ וּבָרוֹתִ֣י מִכֶּ֗ם הַמֹּרְדִ֤ים וְהַפּֽוֹשְׁעִים֙ בִּ֔י מֵאֶ֤רֶץ מְגֽוּרֵיהֶם֙ אוֹצִ֣יא אוֹתָ֔ם וְאֶל־ אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֹ֣א יָב֑וֹא וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּי־ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

DRB ³⁹ Et vous, maison d'Israël ! ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Allez, servez chacun vos idoles, à l'avenir aussi, si aucun de vous ne veut m'écouter ; mais ne profanez plus mon saint nom par vos dons et par vos idoles.

KJV ³⁹ As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

WLC ³⁹ וְאַתֶּ֨ם בֵּֽית־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהֹוִ֗ה אִ֤ישׁ גִּלּוּלָיו֙ לְכ֣וּ עֲבֹ֔דוּ וְאַחַ֕ר אִם־ אֵינְכֶ֖ם שֹׁמְעִ֣ים אֵלָ֑י וְאֶת־ שֵׁ֤ם קָדְשִׁי֙ לֹ֣א תְחַלְּלוּ־ ע֔וֹד בְּמַתְּנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם וּבְגִלּוּלֵיכֶֽם׃

DRB ⁴⁰ Car en ma montagne sainte, en la haute montagne d'Israël, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, là me servira la maison d'Israël tout entière, dans le pays ; là je prendrai plaisir en eux, et là je demanderai vos offrandes élevées et les prémices de vos offrandes, dans toutes vos choses saintes*.

KJV ⁴⁰ For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

WLC ⁴⁰ כִּ֣י בְהַר־ קָדְשִׁ֞י בְּהַ֣ר ׀ מְר֣וֹם יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה שָׁ֣ם יַעַבְדֻ֜נִי כָּל־ בֵּ֧ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל כֻּלֹּ֖ה בָּאָ֑רֶץ שָׁ֣ם אֶרְצֵ֔ם וְשָׁ֞ם אֶדְר֣וֹשׁ אֶת־ תְּרוּמֹֽתֵיכֶ֗ם וְאֶת־ רֵאשִׁ֛ית מַשְׂאוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם בְּכָל־ קָדְשֵׁיכֶֽם׃

DRB ⁴¹ Je prendrai plaisir en vous comme en un parfum agréable, quand je vous aurai fait sortir d'entre les peuples, et que je vous aurai rassemblés des pays dans lesquels vous serez dispersés, et que je serai sanctifié en vous aux yeux des nations.

KJV ⁴¹ I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

WLC ⁴¹ בְּרֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹחַ֮ אֶרְצֶ֣ה אֶתְכֶם֒ בְּהוֹצִיאִ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ מִן־ הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים וְקִבַּצְתִּ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם מִן־ הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר נְפֹצֹתֶ֖ם בָּ֑ם וְנִקְדַּשְׁתִּ֥י בָכֶ֖ם לְעֵינֵ֥י הַגּוֹיִֽם׃

DRB ⁴² Et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel, quand je vous aurai fait entrer dans la terre d'Israël, dans le pays touchant lequel j'ai levé ma main de le donner à vos pères.

KJV ⁴² And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

DRB ⁴³ Et là vous vous souviendrez de vos voies et de toutes vos actions par lesquelles vous vous êtes rendus impurs, et vous aurez horreur de vous-mêmes à cause de toutes vos iniquités, que vous avez commises ;

KJV ⁴³ And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.

WLC ⁴³ וּזְכַרְתֶּם־ שָׁ֗ם אֶת־ דַּרְכֵיכֶם֙ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ עֲלִיל֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִטְמֵאתֶ֖ם בָּ֑ם וּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙ בִּפְנֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכָל־ רָעוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃

DRB ⁴⁴ et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel, quand j'agirai envers vous à cause de mon nom, non pas selon vos mauvaises voies et selon vos actions corrompues, ô maison d'Israël, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.

KJV ⁴⁴ And ye shall know that I am the LORD when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

WLC ⁴⁴ וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙ כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה בַּעֲשׂוֹתִ֥י אִתְּכֶ֖ם לְמַ֣עַן שְׁמִ֑י לֹא֩ כְדַרְכֵיכֶ֨ם הָרָעִ֜ים וְכַעֲלִילֽוֹתֵיכֶ֤ם הַנִּשְׁחָתוֹת֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

KJV ⁴⁵ Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

KJV ⁴⁶ Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;

KJV ⁴⁷ And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

KJV ⁴⁸ And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

KJV ⁴⁹ Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?
