BCC ¹ La parole de Yahweh me fut adressée en ces termes :

KJV ¹ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

WLC ¹ וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ² Fils de l'homme, tourne ta face vers Gog, au pays de Magog, prince souverain de Mosoch et de Thubal, et prophétise sur lui, et dis :

KJV ² Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

WLC ² בֶּן־ אָדָ֗ם שִׂ֤ים פָּנֶ֙יךָ֙ אֶל־ גּוֹג֙ אֶ֣רֶץ הַמָּג֔וֹג נְשִׂ֕יא רֹ֖אשׁ מֶ֣שֶׁךְ וְתֻבָ֑ל וְהִנָּבֵ֖א עָלָֽיו׃

BCC ³ Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : voici que je viens à toi, Gog, prince souverain de Mosoch et de Thubal,

KJV ³ And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

WLC ³ וְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה הִנְנִ֤י אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ גּ֔וֹג נְשִׂ֕יא רֹ֖אשׁ מֶ֥שֶׁךְ וְתֻבָֽל׃

BCC ⁴ Je t'emmènerai ; je mettrai des crocs à tes mâchoires, et je le ferai sortir, toi et toute ton armée, chevaux et cavaliers, tous magnifiquement équipés, troupe nombreuse, avec le bouclier et l'écu, tous maniant l'épée.

KJV ⁴ And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

WLC ⁴ וְשׁ֣וֹבַבְתִּ֔יךָ וְנָתַתִּ֥י חַחִ֖ים בִּלְחָיֶ֑יךָ וְהוֹצֵאתִי֩ אוֹתְךָ֨ וְאֶת־ כָּל־ חֵילֶ֜ךָ סוּסִ֣ים וּפָרָשִׁ֗ים לְבֻשֵׁ֤י מִכְלוֹל֙ כֻּלָּ֔ם קָהָ֥ל רָב֙ צִנָּ֣ה וּמָגֵ֔ן תֹּפְשֵׂ֥י חֲרָב֖וֹת כֻּלָּֽם׃

BCC ⁵ Perses, Éthiopiens et Libyens seront avec eux, tous avec le bouclier et le casque.

KJV ⁵ Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

WLC ⁵ פָּרַ֛ס כּ֥וּשׁ וּפ֖וּט אִתָּ֑ם כֻּלָּ֖ם מָגֵ֥ן וְכוֹבָֽע׃

BCC ⁶ Gomer et tous ses bataillons, la maison de Thogorma, des confins du septentrion et tous ses bataillons, peuples nombreux, seront avec toi.

KJV ⁶ Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

WLC ⁶ גֹּ֚מֶר וְכָל־ אֲגַפֶּ֔יהָ בֵּ֚ית תּֽוֹגַרְמָ֔ה יַרְכְּתֵ֥י צָפ֖וֹן וְאֶת־ כָּל־ אֲגַפָּ֑יו עַמִּ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים אִתָּֽךְ׃

BCC ⁷ Tiens-toi prêt, fais tes préparatifs, toi et toute la multitude qui s'est assemblée autour de toi ; sois leur chef.

KJV ⁷ Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

WLC ⁷ הִכֹּן֙ וְהָכֵ֣ן לְךָ֔ אַתָּ֕ה וְכָל־ קְהָלֶ֖ךָ הַנִּקְהָלִ֣ים עָלֶ֑יךָ וְהָיִ֥יתָ לָהֶ֖ם לְמִשְׁמָֽר׃

BCC ⁸ Au bout de beaucoup de jours tu seras visité ; à la fin des années tu viendras contre la nation soustraite à l'épée, rassemblée d'entre beaucoup de peuples sur les montagnes d'Israël, qui ont été longtemps désertes, la nation ramenée du milieu des peuples ; et qui habite toute entière en sécurité.

KJV ⁸ After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

WLC ⁸ מִיָּמִ֣ים רַבִּים֮ תִּפָּקֵד֒ בְּאַחֲרִ֨ית הַשָּׁנִ֜ים תָּב֣וֹא ׀ אֶל־ אֶ֣רֶץ ׀ מְשׁוֹבֶ֣בֶת מֵחֶ֗רֶב מְקֻבֶּ֙צֶת֙ מֵעַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים עַ֚ל הָרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁר־ הָי֥וּ לְחָרְבָּ֖ה תָּמִ֑יד וְהִיא֙ מֵעַמִּ֣ים הוּצָ֔אָה וְיָשְׁב֥וּ לָבֶ֖טַח כֻּלָּֽם׃

BCC ⁹ Tu monteras, tu arriveras comme l'ouragan, tu seras comme le nuage qui va couvrir la terre, toi et tous tes bataillons, et des peuples nombreux avec toi.

KJV ⁹ Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

WLC ⁹ וְעָלִ֙יתָ֙ כַּשֹּׁאָ֣ה תָב֔וֹא כֶּעָנָ֛ן לְכַסּ֥וֹת הָאָ֖רֶץ תִּֽהְיֶ֑ה אַתָּה֙ וְכָל־ אֲגַפֶּ֔יךָ וְעַמִּ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים אוֹתָֽךְ׃

BCC ¹⁰ Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : En ce jour-là, des pensées s'élèveront dans ton coeur, et tu concevras un mauvais dessein.

KJV ¹⁰ Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

WLC ¹⁰ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יַעֲל֤וּ דְבָרִים֙ עַל־ לְבָבֶ֔ךָ וְחָשַׁבְתָּ֖ מַחֲשֶׁ֥בֶת רָעָֽה׃

BCC ¹¹ Tu diras : je monterai contre un pays ouvert ; je viendrai vers ces gens tranquilles qui habitent en sécurité, qui ont tous des demeures sans murailles, qui n'ont ni verrous ni portes.

KJV ¹¹ And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

WLC ¹¹ וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ אֶֽעֱלֶה֙ עַל־ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּרָז֔וֹת אָבוֹא֙ הַשֹּׁ֣קְטִ֔ים יֹשְׁבֵ֖י לָבֶ֑טַח כֻּלָּ֗ם יֹֽשְׁבִים֙ בְּאֵ֣ין חוֹמָ֔ה וּבְרִ֥יחַ וּדְלָתַ֖יִם אֵ֥ין לָהֶֽם׃

BCC ¹² Tu iras pour piller et faire du butin, pour porter ta main sur des ruines maintenant habitées, sur un peuple recueilli du milieu des nations, qui élève des troupeaux et acquiert des biens, et qui habite au centre de la terre.

KJV ¹² To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

WLC ¹² לִשְׁלֹ֥ל שָׁלָ֖ל וְלָבֹ֣ז בַּ֑ז לְהָשִׁ֨יב יָדְךָ֜ עַל־ חֳרָב֣וֹת נוֹשָׁבֹ֗ת וְאֶל־ עַם֙ מְאֻסָּ֣ף מִגּוֹיִ֔ם עֹשֶׂה֙ מִקְנֶ֣ה וְקִנְיָ֔ן יֹשְׁבֵ֖י עַל־ טַבּ֥וּר הָאָֽרֶץ׃

BCC ¹³ Saba, Dédan, les trafiquants de Tharsis et tous ses lionceaux te diront « Est-ce pour piller que tu viens ? Est-ce pour faire du butin que tu as assemblé tes troupes ; pour emporter de l'argent et de l'or, pour prendre des troupeaux et des biens, pour ravir de grandes dépouilles ? »

KJV ¹³ Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

WLC ¹³ שְׁבָ֡א וּ֠דְדָן וְסֹחֲרֵ֨י תַרְשִׁ֤ישׁ וְכָל־ כְּפִרֶ֙יהָ֙ יֹאמְר֣וּ לְךָ֔ הֲלִשְׁלֹ֤ל שָׁלָל֙ אַתָּ֣ה בָ֔א הֲלָבֹ֥ז בַּ֖ז הִקְהַ֣לְתָּ קְהָלֶ֑ךָ לָשֵׂ֣את ׀ כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֗ב לָקַ֙חַת֙ מִקְנֶ֣ה וְקִנְיָ֔ן לִשְׁלֹ֖ל שָׁלָ֥ל גָּדֽוֹל׃

BCC ¹⁴ C'est pourquoi prophétise, fils de l'homme, et dis à Gog : ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : n'est-ce pas ? En ce jour-là, quand mon peuple habitera en sécurité,

KJV ¹⁴ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

WLC ¹⁴ לָכֵן֙ הִנָּבֵ֣א בֶן־ אָדָ֔ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ לְג֔וֹג כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה הֲל֣וֹא ׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא בְּשֶׁ֨בֶת עַמִּ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל לָבֶ֖טַח תֵּדָֽע׃

BCC ¹⁵ tu le sauras, et tu viendras de ton pays, des confins du septentrion, toi et des peuples nombreux avec toi, tous montés sur des chevaux, grande troupe et puissante armée.

KJV ¹⁵ And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

WLC ¹⁵ וּבָ֤אתָ מִמְּקֽוֹמְךָ֙ מִיַּרְכְּתֵ֣י צָפ֔וֹן אַתָּ֕ה וְעַמִּ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים אִתָּ֑ךְ רֹכְבֵ֤י סוּסִים֙ כֻּלָּ֔ם קָהָ֥ל גָּד֖וֹל וְחַ֥יִל רָֽב׃

BCC ¹⁶ Et tu monteras contre mon peuple d'Israël ; comme une nuée qui va couvrir le pays. Ce sera à la fin des jours que je te ferai venir contre mon pays, afin que les nations me connaissent, quand je me sanctifierai en toi à leurs yeux, ô Gog.

KJV ¹⁶ And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

WLC ¹⁶ וְעָלִ֙יתָ֙ עַל־ עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֶּֽעָנָ֖ן לְכַסּ֣וֹת הָאָ֑רֶץ בְּאַחֲרִ֨ית הַיָּמִ֜ים תִּֽהְיֶ֗ה וַהֲבִאוֹתִ֙יךָ֙ עַל־ אַרְצִ֔י לְמַעַן֩ דַּ֨עַת הַגּוֹיִ֜ם אֹתִ֗י בְּהִקָּדְשִׁ֥י בְךָ֛ לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם גּֽוֹג׃

BCC ¹⁷ Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : n'es-tu pas celui dont j'ai parlé aux jours d'autrefois, par l'intermédiaire de mes serviteurs les prophètes d'Israël, qui ont prophétisé en ces jours-là, pendant des années, que je te ferais venir contre eux ?

KJV ¹⁷ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

WLC ¹⁷ כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה הַֽאַתָּה־ ה֨וּא אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבַּ֜רְתִּי בְּיָמִ֣ים קַדְמוֹנִ֗ים בְּיַד֙ עֲבָדַי֙ נְבִיאֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הַֽנִּבְּאִ֛ים בַּיָּמִ֥ים הָהֵ֖ם שָׁנִ֑ים לְהָבִ֥יא אֹתְךָ֖ עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

BCC ¹⁸ En ce jour-là, le jour où Gog entrera dans la terre d'Israël, dit le Seigneur Yahweh, mon courroux montera à mes narines,

KJV ¹⁸ And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.

WLC ¹⁸ וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא בְּי֨וֹם בּ֥וֹא גוֹג֙ עַל־ אַדְמַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה תַּעֲלֶ֥ה חֲמָתִ֖י בְּאַפִּֽי׃

BCC ¹⁹ et dans ma jalousie, dans le feu de ma fureur, ‒je l'ai dit, ‒ il y aura en ce jour-là un grand tremblement sur la terre d'Israël.

KJV ¹⁹ For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

WLC ¹⁹ וּבְקִנְאָתִ֥י בְאֵשׁ־ עֶבְרָתִ֖י דִּבַּ֑רְתִּי אִם־ לֹ֣א ׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יִֽהְיֶה֙ רַ֣עַשׁ גָּד֔וֹל עַ֖ל אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

BCC ²⁰ Devant moi trembleront les poissons de la mer, les oiseaux du ciel, les bêtes des champs, tout reptile qui rampe sur la terre, et tout homme qui est sur la face de la terre ; les montagnes s'écrouleront et les rochers tomberont, et toute muraille tombera sur le sol.

KJV ²⁰ So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

WLC ²⁰ וְרָעֲשׁ֣וּ מִפָּנַ֡י דְּגֵ֣י הַיָּם֩ וְע֨וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֜יִם וְחַיַּ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה וְכָל־ הָרֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ הָרֹמֵ֣שׂ עַל־ הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה וְכֹל֙ הָֽאָדָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־ פְּנֵ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה וְנֶהֶרְס֣וּ הֶהָרִ֗ים וְנָֽפְלוּ֙ הַמַּדְרֵג֔וֹת וְכָל־ חוֹמָ֖ה לָאָ֥רֶץ תִּפּֽוֹל׃

BCC ²¹ Et j'appellerai contre lui l'épée sur toutes mes montagnes, ‒ oracle du Seigneur Yahweh, et chacun tournera son épée contre son frère.

KJV ²¹ And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.

WLC ²¹ וְקָרָ֨אתִי עָלָ֤יו לְכָל־ הָרַי֙ חֶ֔רֶב נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה חֶ֥רֶב אִ֖ישׁ בְּאָחִ֥יו תִּֽהְיֶֽה׃

BCC ²² J'exercerai mon jugement sur lui par la peste et par le sang ; je ferai pleuvoir des torrents de pluie et des pierres de grêle, du feu et du soufre, sur lui et sur ses bataillons, et sur les peuples nombreux qui seront avec lui.

KJV ²² And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

WLC ²² וְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּ֥י אִתּ֖וֹ בְּדֶ֣בֶר וּבְדָ֑ם וְגֶ֣שֶׁם שׁוֹטֵף֩ וְאַבְנֵ֨י אֶלְגָּבִ֜ישׁ אֵ֣שׁ וְגָפְרִ֗ית אַמְטִ֤יר עָלָיו֙ וְעַל־ אֲגַפָּ֔יו וְעַל־ עַמִּ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּֽוֹ׃

BCC ²³ Je me montrerai grand et saint, et je me ferai connaître aux yeux de beaucoup de nations, et elles sauront que je suis Yahweh. »

KJV ²³ Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

WLC ²³ וְהִתְגַּדִּלְתִּי֙ וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתִּ֔י וְנ֣וֹדַעְתִּ֔י לְעֵינֵ֖י גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֑ים וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
