KJV ¹ In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.

S21 ¹ La vingt-cinquième année de notre exil, au début de l'année, le dixième jour du mois, 14 ans jour pour jour après la prise de Jérusalem, la main de l'Eternel a reposé sur moi et il m'a transporté dans le pays d'Israël.

KJV ² In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.

S21 ² Il m'y a transporté dans des visions divines et m'a déposé sur une montagne très haute; du côté sud, on y trouvait comme les bâtiments d'une ville.

WLC ² בְּמַרְא֣וֹת אֱלֹהִ֔ים הֱבִיאַ֖נִי אֶל־ אֶ֣רֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיְנִיחֵ֗נִי אֶל־ הַ֤ר גָּבֹ֙הַּ֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְעָלָ֥יו כְּמִבְנֵה־ עִ֖יר מִנֶּֽגֶב׃

KJV ³ And he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.

S21 ³ Il m'y a transporté et j'ai vu un homme dont l'aspect ressemblait à celui du bronze. Il tenait un cordon en lin et une canne servant à mesurer. Il se tenait à l'entrée.

WLC ³ וַיָּבֵ֨יא אוֹתִ֜י שָׁ֗מָּה וְהִנֵּה־ אִישׁ֙ מַרְאֵ֙הוּ֙ כְּמַרְאֵ֣ה נְחֹ֔שֶׁת וּפְתִיל־ פִּשְׁתִּ֥ים בְּיָד֖וֹ וּקְנֵ֣ה הַמִּדָּ֑ה וְה֥וּא עֹמֵ֖ד בַּשָּֽׁעַר׃

KJV ⁴ And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

S21 ⁴ Cet homme m'a dit: «Fils de l'homme, observe bien de tes yeux et ouvre bien tes oreilles, fais attention à tout ce que je vais te montrer! En effet, si tu as été amené ici, c'est pour que je te le montre. Rapporte tout ce que tu verras à la communauté d'Israël!»

WLC ⁴ וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֵלַ֜י הָאִ֗ישׁ בֶּן־ אָדָ֡ם רְאֵ֣ה בְעֵינֶיךָ֩ וּבְאָזְנֶ֨יךָ שְּׁמָ֜ע וְשִׂ֣ים לִבְּךָ֗ לְכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־ אֲנִי֙ מַרְאֶ֣ה אוֹתָ֔ךְ כִּ֛י לְמַ֥עַן הַרְאוֹתְכָ֖ה הֻבָ֣אתָה הֵ֑נָּה הַגֵּ֛ד אֶת־ כָּל־ אֲשֶׁר־ אַתָּ֥ה רֹאֶ֖ה לְבֵ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ⁵ And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits long by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

S21 ⁵ Un mur extérieur entourait le temple de tous côtés. Dans la main de l'homme se trouvait une canne à mesurer de 6 mesures; chaque mesure avait 8 centimètres de plus que la mesure ordinaire. Il a mesuré 3 mètres pour la largeur de l'enceinte et 3 mètres pour sa hauteur.

WLC ⁵ וְהִנֵּ֥ה חוֹמָ֛ה מִח֥וּץ לַבַּ֖יִת סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֑יב וּבְיַ֨ד הָאִ֜ישׁ קְנֵ֣ה הַמִּדָּ֗ה שֵׁשׁ־ אַמּ֤וֹת בָּֽאַמָּה֙ וָטֹ֔פַח וַיָּ֜מָד אֶת־ רֹ֤חַב הַבִּנְיָן֙ קָנֶ֣ה אֶחָ֔ד וְקוֹמָ֖ה קָנֶ֥ה אֶחָֽד׃

KJV ⁶ Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad; and the other threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad.

S21 ⁶ Il s'est rendu à l'entrée du côté est et en a gravi les marches. Puis il a mesuré 3 mètres de large pour le seuil de la porte et 3 mètres de large pour l'autre seuil.

WLC ⁶ וַיָּב֗וֹא אֶל־ שַׁ֙עַר֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר פָּנָיו֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַקָּדִ֔ימָה וַיַּ֖עַל וַיָּ֣מָד ׀ אֶת־ סַ֣ף הַשַּׁ֗עַר קָנֶ֤ה אֶחָד֙ רֹ֔חַב וְאֵת֙ סַ֣ף אֶחָ֔ד קָנֶ֥ה אֶחָ֖ד רֹֽחַב׃

KJV ⁷ And every little chamber was one reed long, and one reed broad; and between the little chambers were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within was one reed.

S21 ⁷ Chaque local mesurait 3 mètres de long et 3 mètres de large. Il y avait entre eux un espace de 2 mètres et demi. Le seuil de la porte, près du vestibule de l'entrée, à l'intérieur, mesurait 3 mètres.

KJV ⁸ He measured also the porch of the gate within, one reed.

S21 ⁸ Il a mesuré 3 mètres pour le vestibule de l'entrée, à l'intérieur.

WLC ⁸ וַיָּ֜מָד אֶת־ אֻלָ֥ם הַשַּׁ֛עַר מֵהַבַּ֖יִת קָנֶ֥ה אֶחָֽד׃

KJV ⁹ Then measured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was inward.

S21 ⁹ Il a mesuré le vestibule de l'entrée: il faisait 4 mètres, et ses piliers un. Le vestibule de l'entrée se trouvait à l'intérieur.

WLC ⁹ וַיָּ֜מָד אֶת־ אֻלָ֤ם הַשַּׁ֙עַר֙ שְׁמֹנֶ֣ה אַמּ֔וֹת שְׁתַּ֣יִם אַמּ֑וֹת וְאֻלָ֥ם הַשַּׁ֖עַר מֵהַבָּֽיִת׃

KJV ¹⁰ And the little chambers of the gate eastward were three on this side, and three on that side; they three were of one measure: and the posts had one measure on this side and on that side.

S21 ¹⁰ Les locaux de l'entrée est étaient au nombre de trois d'un côté et trois de l'autre. Tous les trois avaient les mêmes dimensions, et les piliers de chaque côté avaient aussi les mêmes dimensions.

KJV ¹¹ And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.

S21 ¹¹ Il a mesuré 5 mètres pour la largeur de l'ouverture de l'entrée et 6 mètres et demi pour la longueur de l'entrée.

WLC ¹¹ וַיָּ֛מָד אֶת־ רֹ֥חַב פֶּֽתַח־ הַשַּׁ֖עַר עֶ֣שֶׂר אַמּ֑וֹת אֹ֣רֶךְ הַשַּׁ֔עַר שְׁל֥וֹשׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה אַמּֽוֹת׃

KJV ¹² The space also before the little chambers was one cubit on this side, and the space was one cubit on that side: and the little chambers were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.

S21 ¹² Il y avait devant les locaux un muret d'un demi-mètre de chaque côté. Chaque local avait 3 mètres d'un côté et 3 mètres de l'autre.

WLC ¹² וּגְב֞וּל לִפְנֵ֤י הַתָּאוֹת֙ אַמָּ֣ה אֶחָ֔ת וְאַמָּה־ אַחַ֥ת גְּב֖וּל מִפֹּ֑ה וְהַתָּ֕א שֵׁשׁ־ אַמּ֣וֹת מִפּ֔וֹ וְשֵׁ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת מִפּֽוֹ׃

KJV ¹³ He measured then the gate from the roof of one little chamber to the roof of another: the breadth was five and twenty cubits, door against door.

S21 ¹³ Il a mesuré l'entrée depuis le toit d'un local jusqu'au toit de l'autre: il y avait une largeur de 12 mètres et demi entre les deux ouvertures opposées.

WLC ¹³ וַיָּ֣מָד אֶת־ הַשַּׁ֗עַר מִגַּ֤ג הַתָּא֙ לְגַגּ֔וֹ רֹ֕חַב עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְחָמֵ֖שׁ אַמּ֑וֹת פֶּ֖תַח נֶ֥גֶד פָּֽתַח׃

KJV ¹⁴ He made also posts of threescore cubits, even unto the post of the court round about the gate.

S21 ¹⁴ Il a compté 30 mètres pour les piliers, près desquels se trouvait une cour qui s'étendait tout autour de l'entrée. 

WLC ¹⁴ וַיַּ֥עַשׂ אֶת־ אֵילִ֖ים שִׁשִּׁ֣ים אַמָּ֑ה וְאֶל־ אֵיל֙ הֶֽחָצֵ֔ר הַשַּׁ֖עַר סָבִ֥יב ׀ סָבִֽיב׃

KJV ¹⁵ And from the face of the gate of the entrance unto the face of the porch of the inner gate were fifty cubits.

S21 ¹⁵ Depuis le devant de l'entrée extérieure jusqu'au vestibule de l'entrée intérieure, il y avait 25 mètres.

WLC ¹⁵ וְעַ֗ל פְּנֵי֙ הַשַּׁ֣עַר עַל־ לִפְנֵ֕י אֻלָ֥ם הַשַּׁ֖עַר הַפְּנִימִ֑י חֲמִשִּׁ֖ים אַמָּֽה׃

KJV ¹⁶ And there were narrow windows to the little chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the arches: and windows were round about inward: and upon each post were palm trees.

S21 ¹⁶ Il y avait des fenêtres grillagées tout autour des locaux et de leurs piliers, à l'intérieur de l'entrée. Il y avait aussi des fenêtres tout autour du vestibule, à l'intérieur. Des branches de palmier étaient sculptées sur les piliers.

WLC ¹⁶ וְחַלֹּנ֣וֹת אֲטֻמ֣וֹת אֶֽל־ הַתָּאִ֡ים וְאֶל֩ אֵלֵיהֵ֨מָה לִפְנִ֤ימָה לַשַּׁ֙עַר֙ סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֔יב וְכֵ֖ן לָאֵֽלַמּ֑וֹת וְחַלּוֹנ֞וֹת סָבִ֤יב ׀ סָבִיב֙ לִפְנִ֔ימָה וְאֶל־ אַ֖יִל תִּמֹרִֽים׃

KJV ¹⁷ Then brought he me into the outward court, and, lo, there were chambers, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty chambers were upon the pavement.

S21 ¹⁷ Ensuite, il m'a conduit dans le parvis extérieur. Tout autour se trouvaient des salles et un dallage qui garnissait le parvis. Il y avait 30 salles sur ce dallage.

WLC ¹⁷ וַיְבִיאֵ֗נִי אֶל־ הֶֽחָצֵר֙ הַחִ֣יצוֹנָ֔ה וְהִנֵּ֤ה לְשָׁכוֹת֙ וְרִֽצְפָ֔ה עָשׂ֥וּי לֶחָצֵ֖ר סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֑יב שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים לְשָׁכ֖וֹת אֶל־ הָרִֽצְפָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁸ And the pavement by the side of the gates over against the length of the gates was the lower pavement.

S21 ¹⁸ Le dallage s'étendait de chaque côté des entrées et répondait à leur longueur; c'était le dallage inférieur.

WLC ¹⁸ וְהָרִֽצְפָה֙ אֶל־ כֶּ֣תֶף הַשְּׁעָרִ֔ים לְעֻמַּ֖ת אֹ֣רֶךְ הַשְּׁעָרִ֑ים הָרִֽצְפָ֖ה הַתַּחְתּוֹנָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁹ Then he measured the breadth from the forefront of the lower gate unto the forefront of the inner court without, an hundred cubits eastward and northward.

S21 ¹⁹ Il a mesuré la largeur depuis l'entrée inférieure jusqu'à la partie externe du parvis intérieur: il y avait 50 mètres à l'est. En ce qui concerne la partie nord,

KJV ²⁰ And the gate of the outward court that looked toward the north, he measured the length thereof, and the breadth thereof.

S21 ²⁰ l'homme a mesuré la longueur et la largeur de l'entrée nord du parvis extérieur.

WLC ²⁰ וְהַשַּׁ֗עַר אֲשֶׁ֤ר פָּנָיו֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַצָּפ֔וֹן לֶחָצֵ֖ר הַחִֽיצוֹנָ֑ה מָדַ֥ד אָרְכּ֖וֹ וְרָחְבּֽוֹ׃

KJV ²¹ And the little chambers thereof were three on this side and three on that side; and the posts thereof and the arches thereof were after the measure of the first gate: the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

S21 ²¹ Ses locaux, au nombre de trois d'un côté et trois de l'autre, ses piliers et son vestibule avaient les mêmes dimensions que la première entrée: 25 mètres de long et 12 mètres et demi de large.

KJV ²² And their windows, and their arches, and their palm trees, were after the measure of the gate that looketh toward the east; and they went up unto it by seven steps; and the arches thereof were before them.

S21 ²² Ses fenêtres, son vestibule et ses branches de palmier sculptées avaient les mêmes dimensions que pour l'entrée du côté est. On y accédait par sept marches en face desquelles se trouvait son vestibule.

WLC ²² כְּמִדַּ֣ת הַשַּׁ֔עַר אֲשֶׁ֥ר פָּנָ֖יו דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַקָּדִ֑ים וּבְמַעֲל֥וֹת שֶׁ֙בַע֙ יַֽעֲלוּ־ ב֔וֹ לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃

KJV ²³ And the gate of the inner court was over against the gate toward the north, and toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate an hundred cubits.

S21 ²³ Il y avait une entrée au parvis intérieur, vis-à-vis de l'entrée nord, comme c'était le cas de l'entrée du côté est. Il a mesuré 50 mètres d'une entrée à l'autre.

WLC ²³ וְשַׁ֙עַר֙ לֶחָצֵ֣ר הַפְּנִימִ֔י נֶ֣גֶד הַשַּׁ֔עַר לַצָּפ֖וֹן וְלַקָּדִ֑ים וַיָּ֧מָד מִשַּׁ֛עַר אֶל־ שַׁ֖עַר מֵאָ֥ה אַמָּֽה׃

KJV ²⁴ After that he brought me toward the south, and behold a gate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereof and the arches thereof according to these measures.

S21 ²⁴ Puis il m'a amené du côté sud, où se trouvait aussi une entrée. Il a mesuré ses piliers et son vestibule, qui avaient les mêmes dimensions que pour les autres entrées.

WLC ²⁴ וַיּוֹלִכֵ֙נִי֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַדָּר֔וֹם וְהִנֵּה־ שַׁ֖עַר דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַדָּר֑וֹם וּמָדַ֤ד כַּמִּדּ֖וֹת הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

KJV ²⁵ And there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

S21 ²⁵ Cette entrée et son vestibule avaient des fenêtres tout autour, pareilles aux autres fenêtres, et mesuraient 25 mètres de long et 12 mètres et demi de large.

WLC ²⁵ וְחַלּוֹנִ֨ים ל֤וֹ סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֔יב כְּהַחֲלֹּנ֖וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה חֲמִשִּׁ֤ים אַמָּה֙ אֹ֔רֶךְ וְרֹ֕חַב חָמֵ֥שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים אַמָּֽה׃

KJV ²⁶ And there were seven steps to go up to it, and the arches thereof were before them: and it had palm trees, one on this side, and another on that side, upon the posts thereof.

S21 ²⁶ On y accédait par sept marches en face desquelles se trouvait son vestibule. Il y avait, de part et d'autre, des branches de palmier sculptées sur ses piliers.

WLC ²⁶ וּמַעֲל֤וֹת שִׁבְעָה֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם וְתִמֹרִ֣ים ל֗וֹ אֶחָ֥ד מִפּ֛וֹ וְאֶחָ֥ד מִפּ֖וֹ אֶל־

KJV ²⁷ And there was a gate in the inner court toward the south: and he measured from gate to gate toward the south an hundred cubits.

S21 ²⁷ Le parvis intérieur avait aussi une entrée du côté sud. L'homme a mesuré d'une entrée sud à l'autre: il y avait 50 mètres.

WLC ²⁷ וְשַׁ֛עַר לֶחָצֵ֥ר הַפְּנִימִ֖י דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַדָּר֑וֹם וַיָּ֨מָד מִשַּׁ֧עַר אֶל־ הַשַּׁ֛עַר דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַדָּר֖וֹם מֵאָ֥ה אַמּֽוֹת׃

KJV ²⁸ And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate: and he measured the south gate according to these measures;

S21 ²⁸ Ensuite, il m'a conduit dans cette cour intérieure, par l'entrée sud. Il a mesuré l'entrée sud, qui avait les mêmes dimensions que les autres entrées.

WLC ²⁸ וַיְבִיאֵ֛נִי אֶל־ חָצֵ֥ר הַפְּנִימִ֖י בְּשַׁ֣עַר הַדָּר֑וֹם וַיָּ֙מָד֙ אֶת־ הַשַּׁ֣עַר הַדָּר֔וֹם כַּמִּדּ֖וֹת הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

KJV ²⁹ And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

S21 ²⁹ Ses locaux, ses piliers et son vestibule avaient les mêmes dimensions. Cette entrée et son vestibule avaient des fenêtres tout autour et mesuraient 25 mètres de long et 12 mètres et demi de large.

KJV ³⁰ And the arches round about were five and twenty cubits long, and five cubits broad.

KJV ³¹ And the arches thereof were toward the utter court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof: and the going up to it had eight steps.

S21 ³¹ Son vestibule débouchait sur le parvis extérieur. Il y avait des branches de palmier sculptées sur ses piliers, et huit marches pour y accéder.

WLC ³¹ וְאֵלַמָּ֗ו אֶל־ חָצֵר֙ הַחִ֣צוֹנָ֔ה וְתִמֹרִ֖ים אֶל־ וּמַעֲל֥וֹת שְׁמוֹנֶ֖ה

KJV ³² And he brought me into the inner court toward the east: and he measured the gate according to these measures.

KJV ³⁴ And the arches thereof were toward the outward court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof, on this side, and on that side: and the going up to it had eight steps.

S21 ³⁴ Son vestibule donnait sur le parvis extérieur. Il y avait, de part et d'autre, des branches de palmier sculptées sur ses piliers, et huit marches pour y accéder.

WLC ³⁴ לֶֽחָצֵר֙ הַחִ֣יצוֹנָ֔ה וְתִמֹרִ֥ים אֶל־ מִפּ֣וֹ וּמִפּ֑וֹ וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מַעֲל֖וֹת

KJV ³⁵ And he brought me to the north gate, and measured it according to these measures;

S21 ³⁵ Puis il m'a conduit à l'entrée nord. Il l'a mesurée et a trouvé les mêmes dimensions que pour les autres entrées

WLC ³⁵ וַיְבִיאֵ֖נִי אֶל־ שַׁ֣עַר הַצָּפ֑וֹן וּמָדַ֖ד כַּמִּדּ֥וֹת הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

KJV ³⁶ The little chambers thereof, the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, and the windows to it round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

S21 ³⁶ à ses locaux, à ses piliers et à son vestibule. Elle avait des fenêtres tout autour et mesurait 25 mètres de long et 12 mètres et demi de large.

KJV ³⁸ And the chambers and the entries thereof were by the posts of the gates, where they washed the burnt offering.

S21 ³⁸ Il y avait une salle dont l'accès se situait près des piliers des entrées. C'était là qu'on devait laver les victimes destinées aux holocaustes.

WLC ³⁸ וְלִשְׁכָּ֣ה וּפִתְחָ֔הּ בְּאֵילִ֖ים הַשְּׁעָרִ֑ים שָׁ֖ם יָדִ֥יחוּ אֶת־ הָעֹלָֽה׃

KJV ³⁹ And in the porch of the gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slay thereon the burnt offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering.

S21 ³⁹ De chaque côté du vestibule de l'entrée se trouvaient deux tables sur lesquelles on devait égorger les animaux destinés aux holocaustes, aux sacrifices d'expiation et aux sacrifices de culpabilité.

WLC ³⁹ וּבְאֻלָ֣ם הַשַּׁ֗עַר שְׁנַ֤יִם שֻׁלְחָנוֹת֙ מִפּ֔וֹ וּשְׁנַ֥יִם שֻׁלְחָנ֖וֹת מִפֹּ֑ה לִשְׁח֤וֹט אֲלֵיהֶם֙ הָעוֹלָ֔ה וְהַחַטָּ֖את וְהָאָשָֽׁם׃

KJV ⁴⁰ And at the side without, as one goeth up to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables.

S21 ⁴⁰ A l'un des côtés extérieurs par où l'on montait, à l'entrée nord, il y avait deux tables; de l'autre côté, vers le vestibule de l'entrée, il y avait aussi deux tables.

WLC ⁴⁰ וְאֶל־ הַכָּתֵ֣ף מִח֗וּצָה לָעוֹלֶה֙ לְפֶ֙תַח֙ הַשַּׁ֣עַר הַצָּפ֔וֹנָה שְׁנַ֖יִם שֻׁלְחָנ֑וֹת וְאֶל־ הַכָּתֵ֣ף הָאַחֶ֗רֶת אֲשֶׁר֙ לְאֻלָ֣ם הַשַּׁ֔עַר שְׁנַ֖יִם שֻׁלְחָנֽוֹת׃

KJV ⁴¹ Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they slew their sacrifices.

S21 ⁴¹ Il y avait ainsi, sur les côtés de l'entrée, quatre tables d'une part et quatre tables de l'autre, en tout huit tables sur lesquelles on devait égorger les animaux.

WLC ⁴¹ אַרְבָּעָ֨ה שֻׁלְחָנ֜וֹת מִפֹּ֗ה וְאַרְבָּעָ֧ה שֻׁלְחָנ֛וֹת מִפֹּ֖ה לְכֶ֣תֶף הַשָּׁ֑עַר שְׁמוֹנָ֥ה שֻׁלְחָנ֖וֹת אֲלֵיהֶ֥ם יִשְׁחָֽטוּ׃

KJV ⁴² And the four tables were of hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice.

S21 ⁴² Il y avait encore pour les holocaustes quatre tables en pierres de taille, longues de 75 centimètres, larges de 75 centimètres et hautes de 50 centimètres. On devait déposer sur ces tables les instruments avec lesquels on égorgeait les animaux pour les holocaustes et pour les autres sacrifices.

WLC ⁴² וְאַרְבָּעָה֩ שֻׁלְחָנ֨וֹת לָעוֹלָ֜ה אַבְנֵ֣י גָזִ֗ית אֹרֶךְ֩ אַמָּ֨ה אַחַ֤ת וָחֵ֙צִי֙ וְרֹ֨חַב אַמָּ֤ה אַחַת֙ וָחֵ֔צִי וְגֹ֖בַהּ אַמָּ֣ה אֶחָ֑ת אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם וְיַנִּ֤יחוּ אֶת־ הַכֵּלִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִשְׁחֲט֧וּ אֶת־ הָעוֹלָ֛ה בָּ֖ם וְהַזָּֽבַח׃

KJV ⁴³ And within were hooks, an hand broad, fastened round about: and upon the tables was the flesh of the offering.

S21 ⁴³ Des crochets de 8 centimètres étaient fixés à l'intérieur, tout autour, tandis que la viande des sacrifices devait être mise sur les tables.

WLC ⁴³ וְהַֽשְׁפַתַּ֗יִם טֹ֧פַח אֶחָ֛ד מוּכָנִ֥ים בַּבַּ֖יִת סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֑יב וְאֶל־ הַשֻּׁלְחָנ֖וֹת בְּשַׂ֥ר הַקָּרְבָֽן׃

KJV ⁴⁴ And without the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the north.

S21 ⁴⁴ A l'extérieur de l'entrée intérieure, dans le parvis intérieur, il y avait des salles pour les chanteurs: l'une était à côté de l'entrée nord et orientée au sud, l'autre était à côté de l'entrée est et orientée au nord.

WLC ⁴⁴ וּמִחוּצָה֩ לַשַּׁ֨עַר הַפְּנִימִ֜י לִֽשְׁכ֣וֹת שָׁרִ֗ים בֶּחָצֵ֤ר הַפְּנִימִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֗ר אֶל־ כֶּ֙תֶף֙ שַׁ֣עַר הַצָּפ֔וֹן וּפְנֵיהֶ֖ם דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַדָּר֑וֹם אֶחָ֗ד אֶל־ כֶּ֙תֶף֙ שַׁ֣עַר הַקָּדִ֔ים פְּנֵ֖י דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַצָּפֹֽן׃

KJV ⁴⁵ And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.

S21 ⁴⁵ L'homme m'a dit: «Cette salle orientée au sud est destinée aux prêtres qui ont la charge du temple,

WLC ⁴⁵ וַיְדַבֵּ֖ר אֵלָ֑י זֹ֣ה הַלִּשְׁכָּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר פָּנֶ֙יהָ֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַדָּר֔וֹם לַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים שֹׁמְרֵ֖י מִשְׁמֶ֥רֶת הַבָּֽיִת׃

KJV ⁴⁶ And the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him.

S21 ⁴⁶ alors que la salle orientée au nord est destinée aux prêtres qui ont la charge de l'autel. Parmi les Lévites, ce sont les descendants de Tsadok qui s'approchent de l'Eternel pour le servir.»

WLC ⁴⁶ וְהַלִּשְׁכָּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר פָּנֶ֙יהָ֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַצָּפ֔וֹן לַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים שֹׁמְרֵ֖י מִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ הֵ֣מָּה בְנֵֽי־ צָד֗וֹק הַקְּרֵבִ֧ים מִבְּנֵֽי־ לֵוִ֛י אֶל־ יְהוָ֖ה לְשָׁרְתֽוֹ׃

KJV ⁴⁷ So he measured the court, an hundred cubits long, and an hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar that was before the house.

S21 ⁴⁷ Il a mesuré le parvis: il faisait 50 mètres de long et 50 mètres de large, il était carré. L'autel était devant le temple.

WLC ⁴⁷ וַיָּ֨מָד אֶת־ הֶחָצֵ֜ר אֹ֣רֶךְ ׀ מֵאָ֣ה אַמָּ֗ה וְרֹ֛חַב מֵאָ֥ה אַמָּ֖ה מְרֻבָּ֑עַת וְהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ לִפְנֵ֥י הַבָּֽיִת׃

KJV ⁴⁸ And he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side: and the breadth of the gate was three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.

S21 ⁴⁸ Puis il m'a conduit dans le vestibule du temple. Il a mesuré les piliers du vestibule et a trouvé 2 mètres et demi d'un côté et 2 mètres et demi de l'autre. La largeur de l'entrée était d'un mètre et demi d'un côté et d'un mètre et demi de l'autre.

WLC ⁴⁸ וַיְבִאֵנִי֮ אֶל־ אֻלָ֣ם הַבַּיִת֒ וַיָּ֙מָד֙ אֵ֣ל אֻלָ֔ם חָמֵ֤שׁ אַמּוֹת֙ מִפֹּ֔ה וְחָמֵ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת מִפֹּ֑ה וְרֹ֣חַב הַשַּׁ֔עַר שָׁלֹ֤שׁ אַמּוֹת֙ מִפּ֔וֹ וְשָׁלֹ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת מִפּֽוֹ׃

KJV ⁴⁹ The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits, and he brought me by the steps whereby they went up to it: and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.

S21 ⁴⁹ Le vestibule avait une longueur de 10 mètres et une largeur de 5 mètres et demi. On y accédait par des marches. Il y avait des colonnes à côté des piliers, l'une d'un côté et l'autre de l'autre.

WLC ⁴⁹ אֹ֣רֶךְ הָאֻלָ֞ם עֶשְׂרִ֣ים אַמָּ֗ה וְרֹ֙חַב֙ עַשְׁתֵּ֣י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה אַמָּ֔ה וּבַֽמַּעֲל֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַעֲל֖וּ אֵלָ֑יו וְעַמֻּדִים֙ אֶל־ הָ֣אֵילִ֔ים אֶחָ֥ד מִפֹּ֖ה וְאֶחָ֥ד מִפֹּֽה׃
