KJV 9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

WLC 9 וַתֵּ֨רֶא שָׂרָ֜ה אֶֽת־ בֶּן־ הָגָ֧ר הַמִּצְרִ֛ית אֲשֶׁר־ יָלְדָ֥ה לְאַבְרָהָ֖ם מְצַחֵֽק׃
KJV 10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
VULC 10 Ejice ancillam hanc, et filium ejus : non enim erit hæres filius ancillæ cum filio meo Isaac.
WLC 10 וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לְאַבְרָהָ֔ם גָּרֵ֛שׁ הָאָמָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את וְאֶת־ בְּנָ֑הּ כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יִירַשׁ֙ בֶּן־ הָאָמָ֣ה הַזֹּ֔את עִם־ בְּנִ֖י עִם־ יִצְחָֽק׃
KJV 11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
VULC 11 Dure accepit hoc Abraham pro filio suo.
WLC 11 וַיֵּ֧רַע הַדָּבָ֛ר מְאֹ֖ד בְּעֵינֵ֣י אַבְרָהָ֑ם עַ֖ל אוֹדֹ֥ת בְּנֽוֹ׃
KJV 12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
VULC 12 Cui dixit Deus : Non tibi videatur asperum super puero, et super ancilla tua : omnia quæ dixerit tibi Sara, audi vocem ejus : quia in Isaac vocabitur tibi semen.
WLC 12 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֜ים אֶל־ אַבְרָהָ֗ם אַל־ יֵרַ֤ע בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ עַל־ הַנַּ֣עַר וְעַל־ אֲמָתֶ֔ךָ כֹּל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תֹּאמַ֥ר אֵלֶ֛יךָ שָׂרָ֖ה שְׁמַ֣ע בְּקֹלָ֑הּ כִּ֣י בְיִצְחָ֔ק יִקָּרֵ֥א לְךָ֖ זָֽרַע׃
KJV 13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
VULC 13 Sed et filium ancillæ faciam in gentem magnam, quia semen tuum est.
WLC 13 וְגַ֥ם אֶת־ בֶּן־ הָאָמָ֖ה לְג֣וֹי אֲשִׂימֶ֑נּוּ כִּ֥י זַרְעֲךָ֖ הֽוּא׃
KJV 14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
VULC 14 Surrexit itaque Abraham mane, et tollens panem et utrem aquæ, imposuit scapulæ ejus, tradiditque puerum, et dimisit eam. Quæ cum abiisset, errabat in solitudine Bersabee.
WLC 14 וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֣ם אַבְרָהָ֣ם ׀ בַּבֹּ֡קֶר וַיִּֽקַּֽח־ לֶחֶם֩ וְחֵ֨מַת מַ֜יִם וַיִּתֵּ֣ן אֶל־ הָ֠גָר שָׂ֧ם עַל־ שִׁכְמָ֛הּ וְאֶת־ הַיֶּ֖לֶד וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֶ֑הָ וַתֵּ֣לֶךְ וַתֵּ֔תַע בְּמִדְבַּ֖ר בְּאֵ֥ר שָֽׁבַע׃
KJV 15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
VULC 15 Cumque consumpta esset aqua in utre, abjecit puerum subter unam arborum, quæ ibi erant.
WLC 15 וַיִּכְל֥וּ הַמַּ֖יִם מִן־ הַחֵ֑מֶת וַתַּשְׁלֵ֣ךְ אֶת־ הַיֶּ֔לֶד תַּ֖חַת אַחַ֥ד הַשִּׂיחִֽם׃
KJV 16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
VULC 16 Et abiit, seditque e regione procul quantum potest arcus jacere : dixit enim : Non videbo morientem puerum : et sedens contra, levavit vocem suam et flevit.
WLC 16 וַתֵּלֶךְ֩ וַתֵּ֨שֶׁב לָ֜הּ מִנֶּ֗גֶד הַרְחֵק֙ כִּמְטַחֲוֵ֣י קֶ֔שֶׁת כִּ֣י אָֽמְרָ֔ה אַל־ אֶרְאֶ֖ה בְּמ֣וֹת הַיָּ֑לֶד וַתֵּ֣שֶׁב מִנֶּ֔גֶד וַתִּשָּׂ֥א אֶת־ קֹלָ֖הּ וַתֵּֽבְךְּ׃
KJV 17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
VULC 17 Exaudivit autem Deus vocem pueri : vocavitque angelus Dei Agar de cælo, dicens : Quid agis Agar ? noli timere : exaudivit enim Deus vocem pueri de loco in quo est.
WLC 17 וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע אֱלֹהִים֮ אֶת־ ק֣וֹל הַנַּעַר֒ וַיִּקְרָא֩ מַלְאַ֨ךְ אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ אֶל־ הָגָר֙ מִן־ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וַיֹּ֥אמֶר לָ֖הּ מַה־ לָּ֣ךְ הָגָ֑ר אַל־ תִּ֣ירְאִ֔י כִּֽי־ שָׁמַ֧ע אֱלֹהִ֛ים אֶל־ ק֥וֹל הַנַּ֖עַר בַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הוּא־ שָֽׁם׃
KJV 18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

KJV 19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

KJV 20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
VULC 20 Et fuit cum eo : qui crevit, et moratus est in solitudine, factusque est juvenis sagittarius.
WLC 20 וַיְהִ֧י אֱלֹהִ֛ים אֶת־ הַנַּ֖עַר וַיִּגְדָּ֑ל וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר וַיְהִ֖י רֹבֶ֥ה קַשָּֽׁת׃
KJV 21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
VULC 21 Habitavitque in deserto Pharan, et accepit illi mater sua uxorem de terra Ægypti.
WLC 21 וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב בְּמִדְבַּ֣ר פָּארָ֑ן וַתִּֽקַּֽח־ ל֥וֹ אִמּ֛וֹ אִשָּׁ֖ה מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
