KJV 4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
VULC 4 At vero ex Madian ortus est Epha, et Opher, et Henoch, et Abida, et Eldaa : omnes hi filii Ceturæ.

KJV 5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.

WLC 5 וַיִּתֵּ֧ן אַבְרָהָ֛ם אֶת־ כָּל־ אֲשֶׁר־ ל֖וֹ לְיִצְחָֽק׃
KJV 6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.
VULC 6 filiis autem concubinarum largitus est munera, et separavit eos ab Isaac filio suo, dum adhuc ipse viveret, ad plagam orientalem.

KJV 7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
VULC 7 Fuerunt autem dies vitæ Abrahæ, centum septuaginta quinque anni.
WLC 7 וְאֵ֗לֶּה יְמֵ֛י שְׁנֵֽי־ חַיֵּ֥י אַבְרָהָ֖ם אֲשֶׁר־ חָ֑י מְאַ֥ת שָׁנָ֛ה וְשִׁבְעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה וְחָמֵ֥שׁ שָׁנִֽים׃
KJV 8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
VULC 8 Et deficiens mortuus est in senectute bona, provectæque ætatis et plenus dierum : congregatusque est ad populum suum.
WLC 8 וַיִּגְוַ֨ע וַיָּ֧מָת אַבְרָהָ֛ם בְּשֵׂיבָ֥ה טוֹבָ֖ה זָקֵ֣ן וְשָׂבֵ֑עַ וַיֵּאָ֖סֶף אֶל־ עַמָּֽיו׃
KJV 9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
VULC 9 Et sepelierunt eum Isaac et Ismaël filii sui in spelunca duplici, quæ sita est in agro Ephron filii Seor Hethæi, e regione Mambre,

KJV 10 The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
VULC 10 quem emerat a filiis Heth : ibi sepultus est ipse, et Sara uxor ejus.

KJV 12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
VULC 12 Hæ sunt generationes Ismaël filii Abrahæ, quem peperit ei Agar Ægyptia, famula Saræ :
WLC 12 וְאֵ֛לֶּה תֹּלְדֹ֥ת יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל בֶּן־ אַבְרָהָ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָלְדָ֜ה הָגָ֧ר הַמִּצְרִ֛ית שִׁפְחַ֥ת שָׂרָ֖ה לְאַבְרָהָֽם׃
KJV 13 And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

KJV 16 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.

KJV 17 And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.

KJV 18 And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.
VULC 18 Habitavit autem ab Hevila usque Sur, quæ respicit Ægyptum introëuntibus Assyrios ; coram cunctis fratribus suis obiit.
WLC 18 וַיִּשְׁכְּנ֨וּ מֵֽחֲוִילָ֜ה עַד־ שׁ֗וּר אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־ פְּנֵ֣י מִצְרַ֔יִם בֹּאֲכָ֖ה אַשּׁ֑וּרָה עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י כָל־ אֶחָ֖יו נָפָֽל׃
KJV 19 And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:
VULC 19 Hæ quoque sunt generationes Isaac filii Abraham : Abraham genuit Isaac :
WLC 19 וְאֵ֛לֶּה תּוֹלְדֹ֥ת יִצְחָ֖ק בֶּן־ אַבְרָהָ֑ם אַבְרָהָ֖ם הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ יִצְחָֽק׃
KJV 20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
VULC 20 qui cum quadraginta esset annorum, duxit uxorem Rebeccam filiam Bathuelis Syri de Mesopotamia, sororem Laban.
WLC 20 וַיְהִ֤י יִצְחָק֙ בֶּן־ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה בְּקַחְתּ֣וֹ אֶת־ רִבְקָ֗ה בַּת־ בְּתוּאֵל֙ הָֽאֲרַמִּ֔י מִפַּדַּ֖ן אֲרָ֑ם אֲח֛וֹת לָבָ֥ן הָאֲרַמִּ֖י ל֥וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה׃
KJV 21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
VULC 21 Deprecatusque est Isaac Dominum pro uxore sua, eo quod esset sterilis : qui exaudivit eum, et dedit conceptum Rebeccæ.
WLC 21 וַיֶּעְתַּ֨ר יִצְחָ֤ק לַֽיהוָה֙ לְנֹ֣כַח אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ כִּ֥י עֲקָרָ֖ה הִ֑וא וַיֵּעָ֤תֶר לוֹ֙ יְהוָ֔ה וַתַּ֖הַר רִבְקָ֥ה אִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃
KJV 22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
VULC 22 Sed collidebantur in utero ejus parvuli ; quæ ait : Si sic mihi futurum erat, quid necesse fuit concipere ? perrexitque ut consuleret Dominum.
WLC 22 וַיִּתְרֹֽצֲצ֤וּ הַבָּנִים֙ בְּקִרְבָּ֔הּ וַתֹּ֣אמֶר אִם־ כֵּ֔ן לָ֥מָּה זֶּ֖ה אָנֹ֑כִי וַתֵּ֖לֶךְ לִדְרֹ֥שׁ אֶת־ יְהוָֽה׃
KJV 23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
VULC 23 Qui respondens ait : [Duæ gentes sunt in utero tuo,
et duo populi ex ventre tuo dividentur,
populusque populum superabit,
et major serviet minori.]
WLC 23 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה לָ֗הּ שְׁנֵ֤י בְּבִטְנֵ֔ךְ וּשְׁנֵ֣י לְאֻמִּ֔ים מִמֵּעַ֖יִךְ יִפָּרֵ֑דוּ וּלְאֹם֙ מִלְאֹ֣ם יֶֽאֱמָ֔ץ וְרַ֖ב יַעֲבֹ֥ד צָעִֽיר׃
KJV 24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
VULC 24 Jam tempus pariendi advenerat, et ecce gemini in utero ejus reperti sunt.
WLC 24 וַיִּמְלְא֥וּ יָמֶ֖יהָ לָלֶ֑דֶת וְהִנֵּ֥ה תוֹמִ֖ם בְּבִטְנָֽהּ׃
KJV 25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
VULC 25 Qui prior egressus est, rufus erat, et totus in morem pellis hispidus : vocatumque est nomen ejus Esau. Protinus alter egrediens, plantam fratris tenebat manu : et idcirco appellavit eum Jacob.
WLC 25 וַיֵּצֵ֤א הָרִאשׁוֹן֙ אַדְמוֹנִ֔י כֻּלּ֖וֹ כְּאַדֶּ֣רֶת שֵׂעָ֑ר וַיִּקְרְא֥וּ שְׁמ֖וֹ עֵשָֽׂו׃
KJV 26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
VULC 26 Sexagenarius erat Isaac quando nati sunt ei parvuli.

KJV 27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
VULC 27 Quibus adultis, factus est Esau vir gnarus venandi, et homo agricola : Jacob autem vir simplex habitabat in tabernaculis.

KJV 28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

KJV 29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

KJV 30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
VULC 30 ait : Da mihi de coctione hac rufa, quia oppido lassus sum. Quam ob causam vocatum est nomen ejus Edom.
WLC 30 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר עֵשָׂ֜ו אֶֽל־ יַעֲקֹ֗ב הַלְעִיטֵ֤נִי נָא֙ מִן־ הָאָדֹ֤ם הָאָדֹם֙ הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֥י עָיֵ֖ף אָנֹ֑כִי עַל־ כֵּ֥ן קָרָֽא־ שְׁמ֖וֹ אֱדֽוֹם׃
KJV 31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
VULC 31 Cui dixit Jacob : Vende mihi primogenita tua.
WLC 31 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֑ב מִכְרָ֥ה כַיּ֛וֹם אֶת־ בְּכֹֽרָתְךָ֖ לִֽי׃
KJV 32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
VULC 32 Ille respondit : En morior, quid mihi proderunt primogenita ?
WLC 32 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר עֵשָׂ֔ו הִנֵּ֛ה אָנֹכִ֥י הוֹלֵ֖ךְ לָמ֑וּת וְלָמָּה־ זֶּ֥ה לִ֖י בְּכֹרָֽה׃
KJV 33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
VULC 33 Ait Jacob : Jura ergo mihi. Juravit ei Esau et vendidit primogenita.
WLC 33 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֗ב הִשָּׁ֤בְעָה לִּי֙ כַּיּ֔וֹם וַיִּשָּׁבַ֖ע ל֑וֹ וַיִּמְכֹּ֥ר אֶת־ בְּכֹרָת֖וֹ לְיַעֲקֹֽב׃
KJV 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
VULC 34 Et sic, accepto pane et lentis edulio, comedit et bibit, et abiit, parvipendens quod primogenita vendidisset.
