KJV ¹ For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

S21 ¹ En effet, tout grand-prêtre pris parmi les hommes est établi en faveur des hommes dans le service de Dieu afin de présenter des offrandes et des sacrifices pour les péchés.

KJV ² Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.

S21 ² Il peut avoir de la compréhension pour les personnes ignorantes et égarées, puisqu'il est lui-même aussi sujet à la faiblesse.

KJV ³ And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

S21 ³ C'est d'ailleurs à cause de cette faiblesse qu'il doit offrir des sacrifices pour ses propres péchés aussi bien que pour ceux du peuple.

KJV ⁴ And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

S21 ⁴ Personne ne peut s'attribuer l'honneur de cette charge à moins d'être appelé par Dieu comme l'a été Aaron.

KJV ⁵ So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

S21 ⁵ Christ non plus ne s'est pas attribué la gloire de devenir grand-prêtre, il la tient de celui qui lui a dit: Tu es mon Fils, je t'ai engendré aujourd'hui! 

KJV ⁶ As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

S21 ⁶ Il dit aussi ailleurs: Tu es prêtre pour toujours à la manière de Melchisédek. 

KJV ⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

S21 ⁷ Pendant sa vie terrestre, Christ a présenté avec de grands cris et avec larmes des prières et des supplications à celui qui pouvait le sauver de la mort, et il a été exaucé à cause de sa piété.

KJV ⁸ Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

S21 ⁸ Ainsi, bien qu'étant Fils, il a appris l'obéissance par ce qu'il a souffert.

KJV ⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

S21 ⁹ Et parfaitement qualifié, il est devenu pour tous ceux qui lui obéissent l'auteur d'un salut éternel,
