BAN ¹⁰ Alors Simon Pierre, qui avait une épée, la tira, et frappa le serviteur du souverain sacrificateur, et lui coupa l'oreille droite ; or ce serviteur s'appelait Malchus.

KJV ¹⁰ Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

KJV ²³ Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?

BAN ³⁵ Pilate répondit : Suis-je Juif, moi ? Ta nation et les principaux sacrificateurs t'ont livré à moi ; qu'as-tu fait ?

KJV ³⁵ Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

TR1550 ³⁵ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ πιλᾶτος μήτι ἐγὼ ἰουδαῖός εἰμι τὸ ἔθνος τὸ σὸν καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς παρέδωκάν σε ἐμοί τί ἐποίησας

BAN ³⁶ Jésus répondit : Mon royaume n'est pas de ce monde ; si mon royaume était de ce monde, mes serviteurs auraient combattu, afin que je ne fusse pas livré aux Juifs ; mais maintenant, mon royaume n'est point d'ici-bas.

KJV ³⁶ Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

BAN ³⁷ Pilate donc lui dit : Ainsi donc tu es roi ? Jésus répondit : Tu le dis, je suis roi. C'est pour cela que je suis né et c'est pour cela que je suis venu dans le monde : pour rendre témoignage à la vérité. Quiconque est de la vérité écoute ma voix.

KJV ³⁷ Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

BAN ³⁸ Pilate lui dit : Qu'est-ce que la vérité ? Et quand il eut dit cela, il sortit de nouveau vers les Juifs, et il leur dit : Moi, je ne trouve aucun sujet de condamnation en lui.

KJV ³⁸ Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

BAN ³⁹ Mais vous avez une coutume, que je vous relâche quelqu'un à la fête de Pâque : voulez-vous donc que je vous relâche le roi des Juifs ?

KJV ³⁹ But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

BAN ⁴⁰ Ils crièrent donc de nouveau, disant : Non pas celui-là, mais Barabbas ! Or Barabbas était un brigand.

KJV ⁴⁰ Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
